Abstract

Serat Wedhatama is one of the literary works that contains moral values that are still relevant to social life and in accordance with the Profil Pelajar Pancasila. The purpose of this study is to describe the related to the Profil Pelajar Pancasila’s in the serat Wedhatama. This is a qualitative descriptive research. The data were collected by reading and note-taking method, and then analyzed by qualitative analysis method of Miles and Huberman model. The results of this study indicated that the Profil Pelajar Pancasila dimensions implied in the serat Wedhatama pupuh Pangkur was the dimensions of faith, fear of God, and noble character, especially in the sub-elements of religious, personal, and state morals. In the global diversity dimension, there was an example that corresponds to the sub-elements of communication and interaction between cultures and social justice. The sub-element of collaboration which was the part of teamworks was also shown in the serat Wedhatama. In the independent dimension there was an example of self-understanding and the situation handling aspect. In addition, there was also a sub-element of thougts reflection and decisions process as part of the critical thinking dimension. Further research on Javanese moral values as a reinforcement of the Profil Pelajar Pancasila in the other serat Wedhatama’s pupuh or other Javanese literary still needs to be conducted in order to make a contribution to the education fields and to preserve the Indonesian noble heritage.

Abstract

Education plays an important role in human life as the main foundation in developing the quality of individual. Ki Hajar Dewantara's view gave rise to a comprehensive and integrated concept of education covering various aspects, such as intelligence, emotional, physical, aesthetic, social and spiritual aspects. The purpose of this study is to examine and describe Ki Hajar Dewantara's pedagogical ideas in relation to contemporary education. This study uses the Literature Study research method by examining various relevant literature sources. The results of the study state that the concept of education from Dewantara's perspective must be centered on students, emphasize freedom in learning, and be based on local moral and cultural values. In addition, Dewantara emphasizes the importance of character education and individual empowerment in order to achieve their best potential. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that Dewantara's view provides a solid philosophical basis for an inclusive, value-oriented, and individual and community welfare education system. This perspective remains relevant in facing the challenges of education in the modern era by balancing academic aspects and character and moral formation. This study provides valuable insights in designing more comprehensive education policies based on humanitarian values.

Abstract

Cognitive abilities in terms of memorizing each student who is different in addition to the low interest in reading students need innovative, creative and effective steps to support learning activities and processes. This study aims to analyze how effective the effect of using song media with the help of the SUNO AI application on the memorization ability of students in learning graphic design material in class 12 Visual Communication Design at Atisa Dipamkara Vocational High School.The research design chosen was descriptive quantitative with a quasi-experiment design. The data collection technique chosen at the initial stage was to distribute questionnaires to students to get an initial picture of students in general. Furthermore, to see the difference in cognitive abilities between the experimental class and the control class, a pre-test before intervention and post-test after intervention were conducted. Prior to hypothesis analysis, prerequisite tests were conducted including Normality test with Liliefors test to ensure that the data were normally distributed, and Homogeneity test with Bartlett test to ensure that the data came from a population with homogeneous variance. The results of the Paired-Samples T-Test in the Experimental Class showed that the P-value was smaller than the alpha value (0.05), so H0 was rejected and H1 was accepted. This confirms that the use of song media with the help of SUNO AI is effective in improving the learning and memorization ability of students at the Vocational High School level.

Abstract

Assertive behavior is defined as an individual's ability to honestly express their feelings or emotions through their preferred form of expression. Assertive behavior is an important aspect that needs attention, especially for individuals undergoing education, such as middle school students. One characteristic of middle school students is their tendency to have unstable emotions, making them easily influenced by peers. The purpose of this study is to conduct a literature review on classical guidance services and educational cinema techniques to strengthen students' assertive attitudes. This study is a type of SLR (Systematic Literature Review) research. The literature review found 11 articles: 5 articles discussed classical guidance services for assertive behavior, 2 articles addressed educational cinema techniques for assertive behavior, and 4 articles explored the values of Malangan mask dance that could be applied to students' assertive behavior. The conclusion of this study is that the values embedded in the Malangan Mask Dance can help individuals develop honesty, courage, empathy, politeness, responsibility, and self-confidence. These values align with the principles of assertive behavior, enabling the creation of classical guidance services using Malangan Mask educational cinema techniques to strengthen assertive attitudes. The findings of this study can serve as a theoretical foundation for future research, as further data-based studies are still needed to determine whether the implementation of classical guidance services using Malangan Mask educational cinema techniques significantly impacts students' assertive behavior.

Abstract

Teaching modules have an important role as a support for teachers in designing the learning process. In preparing learning tools, the teacher plays a major role. This trains teachers' thinking abilities to innovate and develop effective teaching modules. The ability to think creatively in mathematics is an ability that every student needs to have to analyze mathematical problems from different points of view, then solve them in various ways and produce varied creative ideas. One learning approach that is currently widely applied is Discovery Learning. This research aims to test the feasibility or usability of open modules using the Discovery Learning approach on plane material for class IV students. This research uses quantitative research, namely a survey method in the form of a questionnaire using SmartPLS software to manage the data. The research results show that the measurement analysis model of the variables tested shows that the Cooperative/Collaborative Learning variable shows a higher value than several other variables and explains more variance than other indicators. In this diagram, we can see that the AP value is the highest, with a value of around 0.756. Meanwhile, the lowest value is the variable 0.4 from the other variables.

Abstract

One of the strategic steps in strengthening character is integrating local wisdom into the learning process. Local wisdom reflects noble values such as mutual cooperation, tolerance, and environmental love, which have become guiding principles for the community. This approach is expected to shape a generation that excels not only in knowledge but also in strong character rooted in the nation's culture. Thus, education based on local wisdom can serve as a bridge to harmonize tradition with modernization in the era of globalization. This study uses the literature review method as an initial step in designing the research. The literature review involves searching and analyzing various sources, such as books, journal articles, and other publications relevant to the research topic. The results of this study prove that strengthening character education based on local wisdom, such as mutual cooperation, honesty, courtesy, and tolerance, is the main strategy to preserve cultural identity amid the waves of globalization. The integration of these values is carried out through the curriculum, experiential learning methods, and extracurricular activities relevant to students' lives.

Abstract

The research was conducted based on the results of a needs analysis that showed the unavailability of a personal data protection digital literacy module to strengthen critical thinking skills for elementary school students. The purpose of the research was to develop a personal data protection digital literacy module to strengthen critical thinking skills for elementary school students using a project-based learning (PjBL) model. The type of research used is research and development with the ADDIE model. The research involved 5 validators and 8 grade 5 elementary students. Data analysis used qualitative and quantitative data analysis. Data collection methods were participatory and non-participatory observation, closed questionnaires, structured interviews, and tests. The results showed 1) the development of a personal data protection digital literacy module for elementary students using the ADDIE stages (Analyze, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation), 2) the personal data protection digital literacy module has 'very good' quality 3) the personal data protection digital literacy module for elementary students helps students understand digital literacy and strengthen 21st century critical thinking skills.

Abstract

The quality of educational outcomes has emerged as a critical factor in determining the progress and success of both societies and individuals. Studies suggest that effective instructional leadership impacts learner outcomes in schools. The objective of the study is to explore the influence of instructional leadership on the performance of students in South Africa. The study employed the qualitative approach with a case study design to investigate the impact of instructional leadership on the performance of students. Purposive sampling was used to select six participants. Semi-structured interviews were adopted to gather data, and thematic analysis was utilised to identify themes and patterns that emerged from the study. The findings of the study showed that an improved school environment and positive school cultures contribute to enhanced performance of students. In addition, the study discovered that addressing the individual learning differences of students and removing barriers to learning is key to enhancing students learning. Consequently, there is a need for instructional leaders to emphasise teaching and learning, as well as establish a clear school vision to improve the learning culture and school environment. The study concluded that instructional leadership play a significant role in fostering the quality of teaching and learning practices in schools. The findings of this study imply that schools should emphasise and empower leaders with instructional leadership skills to achieve improved educational outcomes in schools.

Abstract

Character education in elementary schools plays a crucial role in establishing the foundation of character development within formal education. Currently, character education in elementary schools has not been maximized, leading to behavioral deviations among students. Improving character education requires serious efforts, one of which is through a comparative analysis study of character education in the elementary school curriculum of Indonesia, Singapore, and Japan. This study aims to (1) analyze the implementation and impact of character education in the elementary school curriculum of Indonesia, Singapore, and Japan, and (2) examine the similarities and differences in the implementation of character education in these three countries. This research is a literature review study using a qualitative method with a comparative analysis approach to character education implementation in elementary schools in Indonesia, Singapore, and Japan. In this literature review, we analyzed 60 articles from Scopus and Google Scholar published between 2015 and 2024, along with other relevant documents. The analysis results indicate that the implementation of character education in elementary schools varies across countries, with each having its own distinctive characteristics and approaches aligned with national characteristics. The similarities in character education implementation in Indonesia, Singapore, and Japan include its integration into the curriculum, being taught through subjects, and being implemented through habituation activities or school culture. Meanwhile, the differences lie in the implementation strategies, which are adapted to the characteristics and needs of students in each country.

Abstract

There are cases of divorce and stunting in Colomadu District anticipated to a deficiency of interpretation of prospective couples of prospective couples in building a good household. So this research aims to define the implementation of pre-marital education as an effort to prevent divorce and stunting at KUA Colomadu as well as obstacles in implementing premarital education at KUA Colomadu. This research uses field research with qualitative data through a sociological approach. The research location is KUA Colomadu, Karanganyar Regency, Central Java. The duration of the research took place from November 2024 to December 2024. Data sources for this research include the Head of KUA Colomadu, and officers at KUA Colomadu as well as officers at Community Health Center Colomadu 1. Data collection techniques use field data with several methods, namely interviews, observation and document study. The data analysis technique used is the data analysis technique from Miles & Huberman, namely data presentation, data reduction, and conclusions. The research results show that the implementation of pre-marital education at KUA Colomadu has been going well as evidenced by the decrease in the number of divorce cases every year in Colomadu District, while KUA Colomadu is still trying to overcome stunting in children. Obstacles in implementing premarital education at KUA Colomadu are limited funds for organizing pre-marital education, minimal awareness of prospective brides and grooms to take part in activities, and pocket books provided for prospective brides and grooms are still limited.
