Abstract

The values of Pancasila are increasingly fading due to numerous disparities stemming from a lack of societal awareness to practice Pancasila values in daily life. Moreover, data indicates that Indonesian society is significantly detached from the ideals of Indonesian humanity, which highly regards Pancasila as a philosophy of state life. The purpose of this research is to theoretically analyze and critically study character education that can strengthen Pancasila values among the Indonesian people from a pedagogical perspective. By utilizing the literature study method (library research), data is collected to understand and examine theories from various literatures related to the critically reviewed research title. The research findings indicate a correlation between character education oriented towards Pancasila and pedagogy, where their close relationship aligns with the ultimate goals of Indonesia's national education. These goals include developing individuals according to their potential, understanding the essence of humanity and education, and becoming beings of existence and multidimensionality who are capable of implementing the noble values of Pancasila.

Abstract

The main issue in vocational education is ensuring that the implemented curriculum enhances graduates' competencies in line with industry demands. At SMK Muhammadiyah 1 Moyudan, the primary challenge is aligning the curriculum with the hospitality industry’s needs to ensure graduates acquire relevant skills. This study aims to analyze vocational curriculum management in improving student competencies in the hospitality expertise program. This research employs a qualitative approach with a case study method, collecting data through interviews with the vice principal of curriculum, the head of the expertise program, teachers, and students, as well as curriculum document analysis. The findings indicate that curriculum management at this school involves planning, organizing, implementation, and evaluation tailored to industry needs. The curriculum is designed in collaboration with businesses and industries (DUDI) to ensure the relevance of learning materials to labor market demands. Practical-based learning, such as Field Work Practices (PKL) and competency certification through LSP P1, equips students with the necessary technical skills and soft skills. Evaluation is conducted both formatively and summatively to assess student progress. This study confirms that implementing curriculum management based on industry collaboration contributes to producing competent graduates. The study recommends strengthening cooperation with the hospitality industry, particularly in aspects related to the application of information technology to support learning and competency certification.

Abstract

Social media is a medium that provides convenience in communication and even interaction without being limited by space and time. Everyone who uses a smartphone has social media installed for their communication access. This communication is needed for interpersonal or intergroup. This is to support mobile activities. The purpose of this study is to determine the implications of social media on the religious values ​​of students at MAN Kotawaringin Barat. This study uses a descriptive qualitative method with a snowball sampling technique which is a type of research that starts with a small sample then develops into a large one until the researcher digs up data with participant observation techniques, in-depth interviews, and documentation. The object of this study is the implications of MAN Kotawaringin Barat social media on students' religious values ​​and the subjects of this study were 31 class XI IPS 1 students with the criteria of actively visiting MAN Kotawaringin Barat social media. The results of this study indicate that the social media of MAN Kotawaringin Barat is still actively used to upload current information and various school activities, but no influence of religious values from the social media of MAN Kotawaringin Barat was found.

Abstract

Based on the phenomenon that occurred at SMP Negeri 3 Doplang that the implementation of the Teaching and Learning Activities process is less conducive due to several factors including the low motivation of teachers, the use of learning methods that are less varied, and the minimal use of technology that makes the learning atmosphere monotonous due to the lack of available learning tools. This study aims to determine and describe the role of the principal as a supervisor in improving the pedagogical competence of Islamic Religious Education teachers at SMP Negeri 3 Doplang. Researchers used the type of field research with qualitative data. The data collection method used interview, observation and documentation techniques. Data analysis used data reduction techniques, data presentation, data conclusion and verification. The results of the research have been conveyed by the principal of SMP Negeri 3 Doplang that “the role of the principal as supervision is very important, one of which is that the principal always encourages and encourages teachers to take part in various activities, such as seminars, training, workshops, and also courses which will improve the pedagogical competence of the teachers”. Thus, as implementers who are directly involved in the educational process, teachers are at least influenced by encouragement, motivation, supervision and direction from the principal. The research is expected to expand knowledge about the role of school principals as supervisors in improving teachers' pedagogical competence.

Abstract

The challenges of globalization and technological progress demand changes in the education system, including Islamic education, so that it remains relevant to current developments. Modernization of Islamic education in Indonesia is a challenge that requires a balance between preserving traditional Islamic values ​​and the need to respond to developments in the era. The purpose of this study is to examine the role of Nahdlatul Ulama (NU) in the process of modernizing Islamic education in Indonesia. This research method uses library research. Meanwhile, the approach taken in this study is to use the content analysis approach. The data collection techniques in this study include: Source Identification, source tracing, document collection. Meanwhile, the data analysis technique follows Winner and Dominick with the following steps: data reduction, data categorization, data interpretation, drawing conclusions. The results of the study show that NU has succeeded in maintaining traditional Islamic values ​​in its educational institutions, while gradually adopting elements of modernization. However, challenges remain, especially in terms of resistance from some conservative groups and limited access to technology in rural areas. It can be concluded that the modernization of Islamic education by NU offers a balanced model between tradition and innovation, which is relevant to be used as a reference for other Islamic educational institutions in Indonesia.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the influence of Plickers media on student motivation and learning outcomes in Islamic Religious Education and Character Education (PAIBP) subjects. This research used an experimental method with a pretest-posttest control group design, involving class VII students at Klabang State Middle School as research subjects. The research results showed that there was a significant increase in student motivation and learning outcomes in the experimental class that used Plickers media. This is proven by the average student posttest score which is higher than the pretest, as well as the Sig. (2-tailed) of 0.00, which indicates a statistically significant difference. Media Plickers provides a learning experience that is interactive, interesting, and motivates students to learn better. These results are consistent with previous research which shows the effectiveness of Plickers media in improving student learning outcomes. This research recommends the use of Plickers media as an innovative learning alternative in improving the quality of education.

Abstract

Kemampuan berpikir kritis menjadi salah satu keterampilan yang penting dikembangkan dalam proses pembelajaran, termasuk pada mata pelajaran Sejarah Kebudayaan Islam (SKI). Namun, pembelajaran SKI sering kali masih berpusat pada guru dan kurang melibatkan siswa secara aktif. Oleh karena itu, dibutuhkan strategi pembelajaran yang dapat merangsang partisipasi dan pemikiran kritis siswa. Pengaruh ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi penerapan strategi pembelajaran Problem Based Learning (PBL) dalam meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa pada mata pelajaran Sejarah Kebudayaan Islam (SKI) di Madrasah Aliyah Al Huda Banyuwangi Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi partisipatif dan wawancara semi-terstruktur dengan subjek penelitian yang terdiri atas guru SKI, Wakil Kepala Sekolah Bidang Kurikulum, dan siswa kelas X. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan strategi PBL secara signifikan meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa. Mereka mampu menganalisis informasi secara mendalam, mengevaluasi berbagai pandangan, serta menyampaikan argumen yang didukung data valid. Tantangan dalam implementasi PBL meliputi keterbatasan waktu pembelajaran dan keterampilan guru dalam menerapkan strategi tersebut. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa PBL dapat menjadi strategi pembelajaran yang efektif dalam meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa pada mata pelajaran SKI di Madrasah Aliyah Al Huda Banyuwangi. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan adanya pelatihan guru terkait PBL serta dukungan kebijakan sekolah untuk penerapannya secara optimal.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji keefektifan media Padlet dalam pembelajaran menulis teks laporan hasil pengamatan pada siswa kelas VI SD Metro School Kota Makassar. Penelitian menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan desain kuasi eksperimen model non-equivalent control group design dengan populasi dan sampel adalah siswa kelas VI SD Metro School Kota Makassar. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan pada kemampuan menulis siswa, dengan nilai rata-rata meningkat dari 60,74 pada pre-test menjadi 87,50 pada post-test, menunjukkan peningkatan sebesar 26,76 poin. Penurunan standar deviasi dari 11,61 menjadi 6,87 mengindikasikan kemampuan siswa menjadi lebih homogen setelah menggunakan media Padlet. Keefektifan media Padlet didukung oleh fitur-fitur yang memfasilitasi pembelajaran kolaboratif, umpan balik real-time, kemudahan dokumentasi digital, dan terciptanya lingkungan belajar yang mendukung. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa media Padlet efektif dalam meningkatkan kemampuan menulis teks laporan hasil pengamatan pada siswa sekolah dasar khususnya siswa kelas VI SD Metro School Kota Makassar.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the implementation of a culture-based school program at SMP Negeri 7 Yogyakarta. This study uses a qualitative phenomenological approach, with data collection techniques carried out through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of the study show that the school has succeeded in integrating Javanese cultural values into various aspects of school life. Teachers have a good understanding of the concept of culture-based schools. Programs that have been implemented include cultural familiarization, extracurricular activities, and integration in learning. Although there are challenges, such as limited resources, financial support and the influence of globalization, students participation and support from teachers and parents are quite high. This study concludes that the culture-based school program at SMP Negeri 7 Yogyakarta has great potential in forming the character of students who have noble morals, creativity and have a strong identity. To increase the effectiveness of the program, the school is recommended to continue to develop more interesting programs, increase teachers capacity, strengthen collaboration with the community, and conduct regular evaluations.

Abstract

Pendekatan pembelajaran tradisional yang lebih bersifat satu arah sering kali kurang memberikan ruang bagi siswa untuk berpikir kritis, berkreasi, berkomunikasi, dan berkolaborasi secara optimal. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini bertujuan mengkaji implementasi model collaborative inquiry sebagai strategi untuk meningkatkan keterampilan 4C siswa dalam pembelajaran PAI di MAN 2 Situbondo. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui dokumentasi, wawancara, dan observasi dengan menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa penerapan collaborative inquiry efektif dalam meningkatkan keterampilan 4C. Siswa mengalami peningkatan 85% dalam berpikir kritis, yang terlihat dari kemampuan mereka dalam menganalisis informasi dan mengevaluasi data secara mendalam. Keterampilan komunikasi meningkat sebesar 78%, ditandai dengan peningkatan kemampuan siswa dalam menyampaikan ide secara sistematis dan berdiskusi secara persuasif. Kemampuan kolaborasi mengalami peningkatan sebesar 82%, menunjukkan bahwa siswa lebih nyaman bekerja dalam tim, berbagi tanggung jawab, dan terlibat aktif dalam diskusi kelompok. Dari segi kreativitas, terdapat peningkatan sebesar 74%, di mana siswa lebih aktif menampilkan pemahaman mereka melalui karya visual, presentasi, atau solusi inovatif. Faktor pendukung dalam implementasi model ini adalah keterlibatan aktif siswa dan interaksi kelompok yang lebih dinamis. Namun, masih terdapat beberapa hambatan, seperti perbedaan tingkat partisipasi siswa, pengelolaan kelompok yang perlu diperbaiki, serta keterbatasan fasilitas pendukung diskusi. Berdasarkan temuan ini, dapat disimpulkan bahwa Collaborative Inquiry merupakan metode pembelajaran yang lebih efektif dibandingkan metode ceramah tradisional karena mendorong keterlibatan aktif siswa dalam proses belajar.
