Abstract

The aim of this research is to describe the Leadership and Organizational Management model at Juara Elementary School Batam, Kepulauan Riau. The research method used is qualitative descriptive. Data collection techniques involved observation through interviews. The interviews included questions related to aspects of leadership and management, covering the presence of the school principal, effectiveness of communication, leadership involvement, ability to motivate and inspire, skills in guiding, and demonstration of work ethics and integrity. The data analysis technique comprised data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of the study indicate that school leadership at Juara Elementary School Batam significantly influences teacher motivation, organizational culture, management, learning organization, and school effectiveness. The school leaders at Juara Elementary School Batam assume various effective leadership roles, such as guiding the organizational team, motivating and energizing organizational members, creating a positive work environment, and fostering cooperation and collaboration. The principal of Juara Elementary School Batam has contributed to the development of a positive and productive organizational culture through discipline, teamwork, effective communication, motivation, and work-life balance.

Abstract

This study aims to: (1) develop differentiated e-learning media tailored for SMAN 1 Panggang, Gunungkidul; (2) evaluate the feasibility of the media based on expert validation; (3) assess its practicality for students and teachers; and (4) determine its effectiveness in improving student motivation and learning independence. The research employed the Alessi & Trollip development model, which consists of three stages: planning, design, and development. The initial trial involved three diverse Phase F students, while the product testing was conducted on two classes: a control group and an experimental group, each comprising 36 Phase F students. Data collection included interviews, questionnaires, and validation assessments from material and media experts. Data analysis methods included N-Gain calculations, independent sample t-tests, and paired t-tests. The results of this research and development are as follows: (1) development of a Moodle-based differentiated e-learning platform accessible via www.esman1panggang.com, featuring programming algorithm materials adapted to students' diverse learning styles across four sessions; (2) validation by material experts (4.11) and media experts (4.10), both categorized as "very feasible"; (3) teacher and student practicality assessments rated at 4.19 and 4.55, respectively, indicating the media is "feasible"; and (4) significant effectiveness in enhancing motivation and learning independence, evidenced by higher N-Gain scores in the experimental group compared to the control group, and statistically significant differences in pretest and posttest results (p < 0.05).

Abstract

This study wants to know how the Team Games Tournament (TGT) cooperative learning method affects students' participation and learning outcomes in science lessons in grade IV of SD Gugus Tuanku Imam Bonjol. In this study, a control group design was used after treatment. For example, 59 students were randomly selected. The results showed that students who used TGT were more active and more successful than students who learned in the usual way. The results showed that students who used the TGT method were more active and more successful than students who learned in the usual way. This finding encourages the use of the TGT model in teaching science to make learning more effective. MANOVA analysis in this study revealed that: (1) The total F statistic was recorded at 0.999 with a significant value of 0.000. The fact that the value is smaller than 0.05 indicates that learning outcomes and participation are significantly impacted by the use of learning media. (2) Learning Outcomes has a significance value of 0.000. The null hypothesis (H0) is rejected because this result is likewise less than 0.05. H0 is rejected, indicating a significant difference in learning participation based on the TGT Learning Model treatment. This indicates that the TGT Learning Model teaching method clearly influences learning outcomes; (3) the significance value set for learning participation also displays the number 0.000, which is also less than 0.05.

Abstract

This study aimed to develop and analyze the effectiveness of an interactive electronic module in enhancing students’ interest and independent learning in the Informatics subject. The research method used was Research and Development (R&D) with the ADDIE model, which included analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The analysis phase involved observations, questionnaire distribution, curriculum review, and interviews. The module design included identifying subject elements, setting minimum competency criteria, and designing assessment forms. The module development process involved creating learning content, supporting media, and making formative revisions based on initial trials and expert validation. The module was tested by subject matter and media experts, as well as through field trials involving 34 students from SMK Negeri 1 Pajangan using a pre-experimental design. The research results indicated that the module was highly feasible for use, receiving a score of 3.93 from subject matter experts and 3.92 from media experts. The module's practicality was also rated highly by students, with a score of 3.71. In terms of effectiveness, there was an increase in students' learning interest with a gain score of 0.48 and independent learning with a gain score of 0.57 (moderate category), with 82% of students meeting the minimum competency criteria. These findings suggested that the developed module was effective in supporting Informatics learning.

Abstract

This study aims to develop problem-based learning media for the subject of light vehicle electrical maintenance to enhance higher-order thinking skills and determine the feasibility and effectiveness of the developed media. This research follows the ADDIE development model, which consists of five stages: analyze (needs analysis, student analysis, curriculum analysis, and concept mapping), design (designing body electrical media with a Diagnostic Trouble Box/DTB and learning instruments), develop (validation by experts, revisions, and readability testing), implement (application in learning), and evaluate (overall evaluation). The study involved 64 twelfth-grade students of the Light Vehicle Engineering (TKR) program at SMK Negeri 2 Yogyakarta, divided into an experimental group (32 students) and a control group (32 students). Research instruments included teaching modules, student worksheets (LKPD), learning materials, and a media user guide. Data were collected using validation sheets, media feasibility sheets, and higher-order thinking skills tests. The field trial was conducted using a quasi-experimental method with a pretest-posttest control group design, and effectiveness was analyzed using a t-test. The results indicate that learning using DTB-based media with a problem-based approach effectively enhances students' higher-order thinking skills. The media was rated "highly feasible" by experts and received a "very good" response from students. Its effectiveness in improving higher-order thinking skills falls into the "high" category.

Abstract

The problem of this research is based on the problems that occur, namely the low critical thinking abilities of students in Mathematics learning which is caused by the use of less varied learning models and the minimal use of learning media. This research aims to determine the influence of the Cooperative Script learning model assisted by Strip Story media on students' critical thinking abilities in fifth grade elementary school mathematics subjects. This research uses Quasi Experimental Design research with the Nonequivalent Control Group Design model. The subjects of this research were 30 class V students at SD Negeri 137 Palembang. The data collection method uses tests. The test instrument is a 4-question essay to measure students' critical thinking abilities. The data analysis technique uses independent sample t-test. This can be seen from the results of the Independent Sample T-Test showing a significant difference in values ​​from the mean pretest and posttest data. Then, it can be seen that the p-output significant value (0.000) is lower than the significant level value of 0.05 (95% confidence level), and the t-test value (4.061) shows a higher value than the ttable value (t0.05, 28 =1.701). So it can be concluded that there is an influence of the application of the Cooperative Script learning model assisted by Strip Story media on students' critical thinking abilities in fifth grade elementary school mathematics subjects. In other words, the null hypothesis test (H0) is rejected, while the alternative hypothesis (Ha) can be accepted.

Abstract

Education is a key factor in shaping the future of a nation, particularly in realizing Indonesia's Golden Generation 2045, which is excellent and globally competitive. Conventional educational paradigms are considered insufficient to accommodate the increasingly complex demands of the times, necessitating a more adaptive and innovative approach. This study aims to analyze the urgency of implementing Futuristic Pedagogy as an educational paradigm that equips students with 21st-century skills, such as critical thinking, creativity, collaboration, and digital literacy. This research employs a literature review method by analyzing various sources related to the concept of Futuristic Pedagogy and its implementation in the education system. The findings indicate that Futuristic Pedagogy emphasizes technology integration, project-based learning, as well as a more collaborative and inclusive approach to enhance the relevance of education in meeting future needs. The successful implementation of this paradigm requires support from various stakeholders, including the government, educators, and society.Thus, Futuristic Pedagogy is not merely a theoretical concept but an urgent necessity in building an innovative, adaptive generation ready to face global challenges, ultimately contributing to the realization of Indonesia's Golden Generation 2045.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the potential application of the STEAM approach oriented toward Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) in hydrocarbon learning at high schools in Demak Regency. This research employs a descriptive quantitative method, involving 40 chemistry teachers as respondents. Data were collected through observations, questionnaires, and interviews. The findings reveal that 89% of teachers are familiar with the STEAM approach, 65% have implemented it in hydrocarbon teaching, and 90% believe that STEAM can enhance student creativity. Additionally, 79% of teachers feel that integrating ESD within STEAM is effective in fostering positive attitudes and increasing environmental awareness among students. Therefore, this study concludes that STEAM-oriented ESD has significant potential for further development in hydrocarbon learning to enhance student creativity and awareness of sustainable development principles.

Abstract

The dichotomy of knowledge between general science and religious knowledge causes alumni at Islamic educational institutions to experience split personalities. Therefore, it is necessary to develop a curriculum that integrates general science and religious knowledge as a whole. This study examines the implementation of the integrated curriculum at SMP Muhammadiyah Plus Klaten. Using a qualitative approach with a case study design, the research identifies how an integrated curriculum can unify the national curriculum, the Ministry of Religious Affairs curriculum, and the pesantren curriculum. Data was collected through interviews, observation and documentation. Data were analyzed using the Miles & Huberman model of interactive inductive data analysis techniques. The research results show that the implementation of the integrated curriculum includes integration of aspects of objectives, materials, methods and learning evaluation. The integration of these four aspects of the curriculum seeks to improve the quality of education and form holistic and integrative personalities in students. Despite challenges such as integrating different disciplines, these are mitigated through teacher training and collaboration with parents. The results offer a potential framework for other educational institutions to implement integrated curricula.

Abstract

This study employs a case study method with a qualitative approach to understand the home-based literacy program and its impact on early-grade students' literacy. Data were collected through interviews, observations, audio recordings, and written documents from principals, parents, and teachers. Data analysis was conducted using thematic techniques, triangulation, and interpretation to explain the role of parents in enhancing students' literacy skills. The research findings indicate that parental involvement is crucial in supporting elementary school students' literacy abilities. Good literacy skills at an early age form a critical foundation for future academic success and cognitive development. The home-based literacy program is an effective approach that requires active parental participation. Creating a rich reading environment, establishing daily reading routines, and integrating literacy into everyday activities can increase children's interest and reading skills. Support from technology, social, and emotional backing, along with collaboration with schools and communities, ensures the improvement of students' literacy and educational quality. The home-based literacy program enhances the success of the learning process and the quality of education by actively involving parents in supporting children's literacy.
