Abstract

The motivation of students at Muhammadiyah Senior High School Pondok Pesantren Modern Imam Syuhodo has become a concern because there are still students who face difficulties in maintaining their learning enthusiasm. Several factors are suspected to influence the low motivation of students, including a lack of self-awareness in managing time and learning responsibilities, emotional stability affecting academic focus, and a learning environment that is not yet fully conducive. The personality of students, particularly in terms of self-awareness and emotional stability, plays a crucial role in determining how they face academic challenges. In addition, the learning environment, both inside and outside the school, can influence students' motivation to achieve better academic results. This study aims to analyze the impact of self-awareness, emotional stability, and the learning environment on students' learning motivation at Muhammadiyah Senior High School Pondok Pesantren Modern Imam Syuhodo. The method used in this study is a quantitative survey, with data collected through questionnaires involving 200 students. Data analysis using Smart PLS shows that self-awareness, emotional stability, and the learning environment have a significant and positive impact on students' learning motivation. These findings emphasize that internal factors, such as self-awareness and emotional stability, as well as external factors, such as the learning environment, significantly influence students' learning motivation. Therefore, the findings of this study highlight the importance of developing these two factors and suggest that more attention be given to these aspects to maximize students' potential in the learning process and their academic achievements.

Abstract

This research aims to develop Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) content based on Project Based Learning (PjBL) in the Algorithm Analysis and Design course using the ADDIE development model. The focus of the research is to test the content validity, construct validity, and students' perceptions of project-based learning applied in MOOC. The results of validation by three experts showed that the developed content has an average Content Validity Index (CVI) above 0.85, which indicates that the content is in line with the learning objectives and consistent with the principles of PjBL. The implementation of PjBL-based MOOC was also proven to increase student engagement, where 82% of students reported higher active participation compared to traditional methods. In addition, 85% of students reported an increase in their understanding of the algorithm concepts, supported by the PjBL-based project that helped them apply the theory in a real context. Interactive learning media such as learning videos, online quizzes, and algorithm simulations also contributed to the high level of student satisfaction, with an average score of 4.1. Overall, the implementation of PjBL in MOOC content is effective in improving student engagement, understanding, and satisfaction, as well as providing a relevant and efficient online learning model for algorithm analysis and design courses.

Abstract

The objective of this study is to develop a Wordwall-based learning media that is feasible, practical, and efficient for improving Indonesian vocabulary among third-grade students with autism. The research uses the Research and Development (R&D) type using the ADDIE model which includes 5 stages, namely Analyze, design, development, implementation and Evaluation. Field trials at SLB Negeri 1 Bantul and SLB PGRI Sumbersari with eleven students as research subjects. The feasibility of the media product is obtained from the assessment of media and material experts. The practicality of the media is obtained from the teacher response test. The research instruments used interviews, observations, questionnaires, and performance assessments. Data analysis used qualitative and quantitative techniques. The results of the Wordwall media research were declared feasible and practical, the results of the material validation score were 4.23 with the category "feasible", the media validation score was 4.34 with the category "feasible", and the teacher assessment score was 5.0 with the category "practical". The media was declared effective in increasing students' vocabulary with a significance of 0.05. increased from pretest 59.09 to posttest 81.81.

Abstract

In order to improve the science learning achievement of fifth grade elementary school students, this study aims to create valid, useful, and effective hypermedia containing ecoliteracy. The ADDIE development model is used to develop hypermedia through the stages of analysis, planning, development, implementation, and evaluation. It is crucial to teach ecoliteracy early on, and learning media is one of the factors contributing to the low achievement of elementary school students in science learning. The Learning Object Review Instrument (LORI) instrument is used to test the validity of the material and media. The User Experience Questionnaire (UEQ) instrument is used to test the practicality of hypermedia. The effectiveness of hypermedia is analyzed by a one-tailed t-test. This study produces learning media in the form of hypermedia that can be accessed on a link containing interactive material, games, and evaluation questions. The validity test of the hypermedia material and media obtained very valid results with a score of 4.6 for the material and 4.5 for the media. Practicality test from teachers and students got an average score of 2.5 with superior category, so that hypermedia can be stated as practical in terms of attractiveness, clarity, efficiency, stimulation, accuracy and novelty. Effectiveness test analyzed by one-tailed t-test got tcount result 51.757 which is bigger than ttable 2.068, so hypothesis H1 is accepted. This shows that implementation of hypermedia effectively improves students’ learning achievement in harmonious ecosystem material, so it is suitable to be used in learning process.

Abstract

The research on the development of teaching materials for anecdotal texts based on Android using the Abee model (Anecdotal Bee) is motivated by the difficulty in implementing learning media in one class with another. Efforts to overcome these problems are by developing teaching materials for anecdotal texts based on Android using the Abee model. The purpose of the study is to provide new insights into the use of media as a development of teaching materials based on Android. The method used is a descriptive model of the quantitative method which is then described to make it easier for readers. Based on the results of the prototype test design for the development of teaching materials for anecdotal texts based on Android using the Abee model, it can be declared feasible through the results of expert judgment assessments, namely material experts, media experts, and Indonesian language teachers for class X. In the Aiken's V formula, it is stated that it is valid if the index range reaches a range of 0.00 - 1.00 so that the results of the indicator item test show a result of 0.875, it is considered high enough to support the overall indicator device. The results of this study can be applied to Basic Competencies 3.6 analyzing the structure and language of anecdotal texts and 4.6 recreating anecdotal texts by paying attention to the language structure. In this study, it can be concluded that the development of android-based anecdotal text teaching materials using the abee model using the ADDIE research model, namely analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. According to the results of the research questionnaire, the abee application is good in terms of content, but the content needs to be expanded.

Abstract

This study analyzes the influence of self awareness and technological innovation capability on career adaptability of vocational school students in the digital era. Using a descriptive correlational quantitative approach, this study involved 72 students from the Industrial Automation Engineering program at SMKN “Jaya”. Data were collected through a closed ended questionnaire based on a Likert scale and analyzed using multiple regression and partial correlation. The analysis results show that self awareness has a significant relationship with career adaptability (r = 0.881, p < 0.05), as does technological innovation capability (r = 0.861, p < 0.05). Simultaneously, these two variables contribute 81.7% to the career readiness of students, with self awareness playing a dominant role (47.8%) compared to technological innovation capability (33.9%). These findings affirm that self awareness is a key factor in enhancing the career readiness of vocational school students, while technological innovation capability strengthens their preparedness to face the technology based workforce. The implications of this research point to the need for integrating technology based learning strategies and strengthening self awareness in the vocational school curriculum to increase graduates' competitiveness in the dynamic digital era.

Abstract

Pendidikan karakter mencakup apa yang harus dipelajari oleh siswa dan bagaimana mereka harus menggunakan prinsip-prinsip moral dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Karakter siswa sangat dipengaruhi oleh keterlibatan mereka dalam kegiatan ekstrakurikuler. Dengan adanya permasalahan tersebut, peneliti akan mencoba untuk menyelidiki lebih detail mengenai pendidikan karakter apa saja yang diajarkan dalam ekstrakurikuler Tapak Suci, seberapa besar nilai-nilai pendidikan karakter yang sudah tertanam dalam perilaku keseharian siswa SMP Muhammadiyah Al-Kautsar Program Khusus, variabel-variabel yang mempengaruhi tingkat internalisasi nilai-nilai pendidikan karakter pada siswa yang mengikuti ekstrakurikuler Tapak Suci. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian lapangan yang bersifat deskriptif kualitatif. Metode pengumpulan data penelitian meliputi dokumentasi, wawancara langsung, dan observasi. Tiga langkah yang membentuk tahapan analisis data adalah temuan atau verifikasi, display data, dan reduksi data. Religius, disiplin, tanggung jawab, dan kepedulian sosial merupakan komponen pendidikan karakter yang ditanamkan dalam ekstrakurikuler tapak suci di SMP Muhammadiyah Al-Kautsar Program Khusus, sesuai dengan temuan penelitian. Perilaku siswa sehari-hari mencerminkan nilai-nilai pendidikan karakter yang diajarkan oleh ekstrakurikuler tapak suci. Kesadaran diri, keteladanan pelatih, dan durasi latihan menjadi faktor yang mempengaruhi seberapa besar nilai-nilai pendidikan karakter yang terinternalisasi.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the direct effects of several variables as follows: the democratic leadership style of school principals on work motivation; interpersonal communication on work motivation; the democratic leadership style of school principals on the performance of guidance and counseling teachers; interpersonal communication on the performance of guidance and counseling teachers; and work motivation on the performance of guidance and counseling teachers. The population of this study includes 55 guidance and counseling teachers working in public vocational high schools in Deli Serdang Regency. Based on calculations using the Slovin formula, a sample of 35 individuals was obtained through random sampling methods. Data collection was conducted through instrument trials, showing very high reliability: democratic leadership of school principals: 0.807; interpersonal communication 0.825; work motivation 0.810; and performance of guidance and counseling teachers 0.807. This research employs path analysis to gather information related to the study and test the relevant theories. The results of hypothesis testing indicate that the democratic leadership style of school principals, interpersonal communication, and work motivation have a positive influence on the performance of guidance and counseling teachers.

Abstract

The Industrial Revolution 5.0 era requires Vocational High School (SMK) graduates to have competencies that are in line with the needs of the industry. However, there are still many students who struggle to achieve optimal learning outcomes. This study aims to analyze the contribution of mechanical talent and intrinsic motivation to student learning outcomes in the Motorcycle Engineering and Business Study Program, SMK Negeri 1 Kaligondang. A descriptive quantitative research method was used, with data analysis carried out using SPSS. The respondents consisted of 30 students, with instruments including questionnaires to measure mechanical aptitude and intrinsic motivation, as well as academic tests (pre-test and post-test) to assess learning outcomes. The findings revealed that mechanical talent contributed 4.7%, while intrinsic motivation contributed 4.51% to student learning outcomes. After an instructional intervention that focused on strengthening mechanical talent and intrinsic motivation, the number of students who failed to meet the minimum competency criteria (KKM) decreased from 16 to 4, with an increase in average scores from 65 to 85.74. These results confirm that improving cognitive and affective factors can significantly improve students' understanding of automotive engineering. Therefore, optimized learning strategies are essential for developing students' mechanical talents and intrinsic motivation, ensuring that vocational graduates are better prepared to face the challenges of the workforce.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of using Artificial Intelligence (AI), specifically ChatGPT, on the critical speaking and critical writing skills of Grade X students at UPT SMA Negeri 3 Bone. The research employed a quantitative method with a true experimental design using a pretest-posttest control group model. Data were collected through tests administered before and after the treatment, and analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics. The results showed a significant improvement in students’ critical speaking skills (from 71.51 to 80.03) and critical writing skills (from 73.96 to 91.33) after the use of AI. T-test results indicated statistically significant differences (Sig. < 0.05) in both paired and independent samples. These findings confirm that AI use is effective in enhancing students’ critical speaking and writing skills.
