Abstract

This research explores the dynamics of financial literacy among students in shaping future financial well-being. Using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM), it aims to uncover the relationship between financial literacy and students' interest in learning about finance. The data is derived from responses to a questionnaire from 200 students. The research reveals a path coefficient of 0.97 between financial literacy and literacy interest, indicating a strong positive relationship. This implies that 97% of the variation in financial literacy can be explained by literacy interest. Overall, the SEM model demonstrates a significant fit, providing valuable insights for enhancing financial literacy among college students.

Abstract

This study addresses the challenge of sentiment analysis within the Information Technology study program at Universitas Timor, aiming to compare the performance of Support Vector Machines (SVM) and Naive Bayes (NB) through 100 iterations. The dataset, comprising 21 instances of negative sentiment and 18 instances of positive sentiment, is analyzed using both methods, with accuracy and Area Under the ROC Curve (AUC) serving as key metrics. The sample size consists of 39 instances, and the results indicate significant variability in both accuracy and AUC, emphasizing the sensitivity of the models to dataset characteristics and random initialization. On average, SVM outperforms NB, with an accuracy of 0.5846 compared to 0.5075 and an AUC of 0.5916 compared to 0.4607.

Abstract

Micro, small and medium enterprises (MSME) have a big influence for the economy in Indonesia. But almost of this company don’t have an optimal working capital management because less knowledge and limitation of financial not only from the owner but also financial credit from bank. Working capital management plays an important role in the success or failure of a company its business activities. To achieve optimal use of working capital management managers the company must accurately control the trade-off between profitability and liquidity. The purpose of this research is to develop a model of working capital management where the sales are under uncertainty and the company has a limit financial. This study was tested using multiple linear regression analysis to see the correlation between profitability and liquidity with x1, x2, x3, x4, and x5 then find optimal solution by stochastic multi objective programming because we consider that sales is in under certainty. The main variables used in the analysis of return on assets to measure profitability, receivable turnover to measure liquidity, inventory turnover, accounts payable days, cash conversion. The results showed that account payable, inventory turnover, and cash turn over have a positive correlation for liquidity but inventory turnover and cash turnover have negative correlation to profitability.

Abstract

Regression is a statistical analysis method to describe the relationship between the dependent variable which has two or more categories with one or more independent variables on a categorical or continuous scale. The purpose of this study is to apply the logistic regression method to see how much influence the Internal Factor Analysis of the Community has in participating in the Family Planning Program in Medan Johor District. As is known, according to data from the BPS for North Sumatra Province, Medan Johor is included in a slum sub-district because it is caused by the dense population in this sub-district which is not in accordance with its area. The total population in Medan Johor District currently reaches 137,367 people, with an area of 16.96 km2and a population density of 8,099 people/km2. So that in this study, it was found that the level of education, age and occupation did not have a significant effect on opinion, which had a significant effect on opinion with a Sig value of 0.020 <0.05, namely the community's knowledge of the family planning program

Abstract

Crime or criminality in Indonesia is rampant in both print and television media. We can see news about crime almost every day. Basically, every individual will be influenced by several factors, both internal and internal, external causes of a person committing a crime, including population, education, morality, poverty and unemployment. In this case, a statistical analysis will be studied that can detect the magnitude of these factors, both directly and indirectly, on the crime rate. One of the statistical analyzes that can be used to analyze causal relationships between variables is path analysis, which is a direct development of the multiple regression form with the aim of providing estimates of the level of importance (magnitude) and significance (significance) in a variable set of causal relationships. hypothetical consequences. From the research results for West Sumatra Province, it was concluded that there was no large influence of variable X on Y

Abstract

Determining location is a problem encountered in many areas of everyday life. Determining this location becomes complex when many factors are taken into consideration, where one factor and another can conflict. One of the issues that will be discussed in this research is determining the location of the rice processing industry. This problem needs to be studied considering that the opportunity to establish a rice industry in several regions in Indonesia is very high considering that the potential for the main raw material (rice) is very large, as is the rice market where the largest population of the Indonesian nation makes rice the main food ingredient. The case study that will be discussed in this research is the rice processing industry in Batu Bara Regency. Batu Bara Regency is one of the districts/cities in North Sumatra Province which has enormous rice potential. In order to improve the welfare of farmers and provide good quality rice for the community, a Rice Processing Industry is needed. The problem in the rice processing industry is very complex, apart from the seasonal availability of rice raw materials, is the location where the rice processing factory is located. Various criteria need to be considered in this determination relating to the distance of the rice processing industry factory to each source of the main raw material (rice). Determining this location is very complex because it involves multiple criteria. This research will provide a location determination model using a Multi Criteria Network. The criteria used to determine the location of the rice processing industry in Batu Bara Regency are the transportation distance from the raw material center, travel time, and the condition of the road connecting the raw material center to the factory location. Based on the criteria for distance between rice centers and rice processing industrial factories, a route with a total minimum distance score of 0.71 is obtained. Meanwhile, based on travel time, the best route was obtained with a minimum total time score of 1.61. Based on the quality of the road taken, the best route was obtained with a maximum total score of 0.25. By considering the three criteria, the best route was obtained with a total optimum score of 2.96.

Abstract

Production efficiency and performance optimization in a company can be achieved by using an optimization model. An optimisation model can be written in a function of equation and equation known as a Linear Program. A Linear program can be combined with a fuzzy value to adjust a production problem model that is heavily dependent on an unstable supply. This modeling is known as Fuzzy Linear programming. Using Fuzzy Linear programming, the production problems of micro, small and medium-sized enterprises Untir-untir and King Sweet are analyzed and solved with the heLP of simulation programs. Fuzzy Linear programming solutions use simplex methods using POM-QM software to complete complex calculations. Completion with the fuzzy simplex method consists of several steps namely calculating the optimal bottom and upper boundaries with the maximizing simplex technique, modifying the initial equation by adding the variable λ, and finishing it with the two-phase simplex approach. Results of completion with the simulation program showed the estimated amount of profit using the Linear Program equation of Rp. 1,378,723 and using the Fuzzy Linear programming equation with a 10% tolerance of Rp. 1,447,470.
