TIRTAMATH: Jurnal Penelitian dan Pengajaran Matematika menerbitkan artikel ilmiah terkait penelitian bidang pengajaran dan pendidikan matematika. Abstract

This research is motivated by the low ability of junior high school students' mathematical understanding and there are still students who are passive in the learning process. The learning approach can direct students to be active in the learning process, the approach taken is the Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) approach. Based on previous relevant research, it was stated that with the realistic mathematics education (PMR) approach, the increase in learning was higher than students who received regular learning at all students and all school levels. The research population was all students of SMP Mathla'ul Anwar Global School 2019/2020 academic year and the research sample was class VII with the design of The Randomized Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design, making two groups randomly, namely the experimental group and the control group by giving two different treatments. different. This study aims to determine: 1. Knowing the mathematical understanding ability of students who use the RME approach is better than students who use the scientific approach. 2. Determine whether there is an interaction between the learning approach and the initial mathematical ability (high, medium, low) on students' mathematical understanding abilities. The results showed: 1. The mathematical understanding ability of students who used the RME approach was better than students who used the scientific approach. 2. There is no interaction between the learning approach and early mathematical abilities (high, medium, low) on students' mathematical understanding abilities.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the ability of understanding in the form of analytical and graphical representations of inverse functions based on Skemp Theory. The type of research is used a case study. Subjects consisted of one high school math teacher and one junior high school math teacher. Data collection techniques using description task and interview instruments. The description questions include a decontextual task to analyze the extent of understanding used by mathematics teachers doing inverse function task. The methodology and theoretical framework used aims to interpret mathematics teacher activities in analyzing task. The data analysis of the comprehension ability used by the math teacher was presented when answering the inverse decontextual task and making conclusions about their understanding based on their activities. The results showed that the subjects studied had the ability of relational understanding and instrumental understanding based on Skemp Theory.

Abstract

Penelitian ini untuk mengetahui perbedaan kemandirian belajar siswa berdasarkan jenis kelamin di kelas VIII MTS Al-Khairiyah Pakuncen Kecamatan Bojonegera Kabupaten Serang. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan metode survei. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas MTs Al-Khairiyah Pakuncen Kecamatan Bojonegera Kabupaten Serang. Sampel yang digunakan hanya dua siswa kelas VIII yaitu siswa kelas VIII A dan siswa kelas VIII B yang berjumlah 50 siswa. Kemudian 50 siswa dikelompokkan menjadi 2 kelompok berdasarkan jenis kelamin yaitu 27 siswa perempuan dan 23 siswa laki-laki. Alat yang digunakan untuk mengumpulkan data berupa angket kemandirian belajar siswa. Satu-satunya teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah mann-withney U-test. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ditemukan bahwa terdapat perbedaan kemandirian belajar siswa pada incator memilih, menentukan strategi pembelajaran dengan sig = 0,0082 sig <a, dengan a = 0,05 sedangkan pada delapan indikator lainnya tidak terdapat perbedaan berdasarkan jenis kelamin. . Abstract

The objective of this research was to describe the needs analysis result of the development of learning media using Google Forms to facilitate the learning process during online learning on algebraic function limit material. The method of the research was a qualitative descriptive. The needs analysis refers to the problems faced by students during online learning. The subjects of this research were 30 students of senor high school and 5 mathematics teachers. The data collecting techniques in this research were questionnaires and interviews. The results of the research showed that learning media for mathematics using Google Forms is needed as a learning media that were attractive, effective, independent and efficient to improve the understanding of algebraic functions limits course.

Abstract

This study aims to determine: (1) the mathematical comprehension ability of students who obtain network-based problem-based learning models is better than students who receive online learning-based scientific learning. (2) students 'mathematical comprehension abilities at high initial mathematical abilities are better than students with moderate and low initial mathematical abilities (3) students' mathematical understanding abilities who get problem-based learning models based on online learning are better than students who get scientific learning Based on network learning in terms of initial mathematical abilities (4) there is an interaction between learning models and initial mathematical abilities (high, medium, and low) on students' mathematical understanding abilities. This research is a quantitative descriptive study. The subject matter in this research is three dimensions. The subjects in this study were 28 students of class XII SMA Negeri 1 Wanasalam for the 2019/2020 academic year consisting of 15 students in the experimental class and 14 students in the control class. The data collection method in this research is the test method. The data analysis technique in this study was by looking at the test scores of mathematical comprehension abilities in terms of high, medium and low categories. The results showed that (1) the mathematical comprehension abilities of students who obtained the network-based problem-based learning model were no better than those who received network-based learning. (2) students 'mathematical comprehension abilities at high initial mathematical abilities are no better than students with moderate and low initial mathematical abilities (3) students' mathematical understanding abilities who obtain network-based problem-based learning models are no better than students who obtain scientific learning based on learning in the network in terms of initial mathematical abilities (4) there is no interaction between learning models and initial mathematical abilities (high, medium, and low) on students' mathematical understanding abilities.

Abstract

The low independence of student learning is due to students being bored with learning the lack of innovation of teachers in using learning media, and it is predicted that E-Learning using Quipper School can help students improve student learning independence and learning outcomes. This study aims to analyze the effect of E-Learning using Quipper School on learning independence and junior high school student learning outcomes in mathematics. This study used a quasi-experimental method with a pretest and posttest nonequivallent control group design. The population in this study were all students of SMPI Al Azhar 11 Serang, Serang City, Prov. Banten and the sample were selected by purposive sampling in order to obtain 3 classes, namely the Bilingual class, Tahfidz and Regular as the experimental class. To obtain research data, instruments were used in the form of a learning outcome ability test and a student learning independence questionnaire. The analysis shows that: 1) There are differences in the learning independence of Bilingual, Tahfidz and Regular students with E-Learning using Quipper School, 2) There are differences in student learning outcomes in Bilingual, Tahfidz and Regular classes with E-Learning using Quipper School.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kebutuhan e-modul dengan pendekatan berbasis masalah pada materi barisan dan deret kelas XI. Metode penelitian menggunakan deskriptif kualitatif. Subjek penelitian terdiri dari 20 orang guru mata pelajaran matematika SMA dan 20 orang siswa SMAN 7 Kota Serang. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan memberikan angket melalui Google Forms pada guru dan siswa. Berdasarkan hasil respon angket guru menunjukkan bahwa dalam pembelajaran matematika guru belum membuat e-modul matematika secara mandiri, melainkan hasil download, hasil belajar siswa dengan bahan ajar yang digunakan guru belum mengalami peningkatan yang signifikan, sebagian besar guru mengungkapkan sangat membutuhkan adanya bahan ajar interaktif seperti e-modul yang mudah di pahami siswa. Pada analisis kebutuhan siswa menunjukkan bahwa hampir sebagian besar siswa belum memahami matematika secara mendalam. Hal tersebut di tunjukkan dengan hasil belajar siswa yang masih rendah, siswa merasa kesulitan menyelesaikan soal pemecahan masalah dan kurang memahami bahan ajar yang digunakan saat belajar daring. Siswa mengharapkan adanya bahan ajar yang memuat pembahasan soal-soal matematika yang mudah di pahami dan di akses kapanpun dan dimanapun tentunya dengan desain yang menarik seperti e-modul

Abstract

This research is motivated by the importance of mathematical representation ability as one of five abilities that must be possessed by students in learning mathematics. The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of Survey, Questions, Read, Recite, Review (SQ3R) learning models on the mathematical representation ability of high school students. This research is a quantitative research with quasi-experimental method and pretest posttest control group design. The instrument used was a test of mathematical representation ability. The results of this study are differences in mathematical representation ability of students who get the SQ3R learning model is higher than students who get a direct learning model. Keywords:  Mathematical Representations Ability, SQ3R Learning, Direct Learning

Abstract

This research is motivated by the continuing development of the Covid-19 pandemic, which has changed the teaching and learning environment in schools, which was initially face-to-face or conventional. Now, it must be carried out online or online to break the chain of spreading the virus. In the study, three groups of students will be compared based on Mathematical Initial Ability (KAM), namely: high KAM, medium KAM, and low KAM. The research method used in this research is comparative research. Comparative research is directed to determine whether there are differences between two or more groups in the aspects or variables studied. In this study, the variables studied were the perception of learning and students' learning independence in online learning. The goal is to see the perception and independence of learning in online learning using google classroom. So that it can be seen the relationship between the independent variable and the dependent variable, in this study, the independent variable is online learning (X), and the dependent variable is student perception (Y1) and student learning independence (Y2). So it can be concluded that the perceptions of class VIII students of MTsN 1 Cilegon City about online learning if viewed from high, medium, and low initial mathematical abilities, there is no difference, while for student learning independence based on the one-way ANOVA test it is known that the significance value is 0.758 or H0 is rejected. . Because the significance value is more significant than 0.05, namely 0.758> 0.05, it can be concluded that there are differences in students' learning independence in online learning in terms of high, medium and low initial mathematical abilities.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi kesalahan guru dalam menyelesaikan soal fungsi invers berdasarkan analisis Newman. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan jenis studi kasus. Subjek penelitian ini ialah dua guru matematika SMP dan seorang guru matematika SMA. Instrumen penelitian ini ialah hasil tes yang diadopsi dari  (Paoletti et al., 2017). Data penelitian ini berupa hasil tes dan wawancara secara online.  Berdasarkan data yang diperoleh dalam analisis kesalahan Newman dalam menyelesaikan fungsi invers. Kesalahan yang dialami oleh guru dalam menyelesaikan soal fungsi invers 1) kesalahan membaca, seperti kesalahan dalam membaca kata, notasi, symbol dan informasi dalam soal; 2) kesalahan memahami, seperti kesalahan dalam mengolah informasi dalam soal; dan 3) kesalahan transformasi, berupa kesalahan dalam mengubah soal ke dalam model matematika.
