Abstract

Abstract: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penerapan model pembelajaran Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) terhadap kemampuan representasi matematis ditinjau dari minat belajar siswa SMA. Pendekatan pada penelitian ini adalah kuantitatif dengan desain penelitian quasi experimental menggunakan nonequivalent posttest-only control group design. Teknik pengambilan sampel pada penelitian ini didasarkan atas pertimbangan guru bidang studi matematika dan disesuaikan dengan waktu penelitian (purposive sampling). Data yang dikumpulkan pada penelitian ini melalui tes kemampuan representasi matematis dan angket minat belajar. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data dan pembahasan dapat disimpulkan bahwa: 1) terdapat perbedaan kemampuan representasi matematis antara siswa yang mengikuti model pembelajaran CTL dengan siswa yang mengikuti pembelajaran konvensional. 2) terdapat perbedaan kemampuan representasi matematis antara siswa yang memiliki minat belajar tinggi, sedang, dan rendah. 3) tidak terdapat interaksi antara model pembelajaran CTL dengan minat belajar terhadap kemampuan representasi matematis siswa.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to improve students’ math story problem solving ability in class XI-F1 of SMA Negeri 13 Semarang through the implementation of Problem Based Learning (PBL) model with Teaching at the Right Level (TaRL) approach. The type of this research is classroom action research with research subjects of 36 students in class XI-F1 of SMA Negeri 13 Semarang. The data collection techniques used are test, observation and documentation. This research was carried out in 2 cycles. Before conducting classroom research, an initial test is carried out to determine students’ math story problem solving ability. From the initial test results, data was obtained that the average value of the test was 70.00 and the percentage of students’ test completion was only 41.67%. In cycle I the average score of students’ math story problem solving ability increased to 77.58 and the percentage of students' test completion was 66.67%. In cycle II the average value of students’ math story problem solving ability was 83.14 and the percentage of students’ test completion was 83,33%. Thus, it can be concluded that the implementation of PBL model with TaRL approach can improve students’ math story problem solving ability.

Abstract

The concept of learning media can be understood as a tool used as an intermediary between instructors and students during the learning process. The primary purpose of this tool is to provide information and channel messages, thus enabling effective and efficient learning. The aim of this study is to conduct a comprehensive literature review on the use of Augmented Reality (AR) as a form of learning media in the context of mathematics education. The research methodology employed in this study is the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) approach, which aims to identify, examine, evaluate, and interpret relevant articles. The data collection process involved documenting all articles that were similar in nature to the current research report. The study utilized a total of 20 articles, sourced from both national and international journals, which were retrieved from the Google Scholar database. The findings of the research indicate that the use of Augmented Reality as a learning medium can be beneficial and well-suited for learning mathematics, as it has the potential to improve learning outcomes and enhance students' mathematical capabilities.

Abstract

Every year, students' academic achievements, particularly in the subject of mathematics, tend to be low. In the learning process, teachers are confronted with a diversity of potentials among learners. Therefore, teachers must possess the ability to develop learners according to their existing potentials so that their learning achievements can improve. A strategy used by educators to address every student's learning requirement is differentiated education with the help of liveworksheet. This study aims to determine if customised instruction with real-time worksheet support affects students' learning outcomes. A one-group pretest-posttest quantitative quasi-experimental design is the study methodology used. The subjects consisted of 35 students from class XII IPA-5 at SMA Negeri 1 Jawilan, Kabupaten Serang. A test was used to obtain data. The pre-test scores resulted in an average of 28,29, while the post-test scores yielded an average of 58,86. As a result, the average score increased by 30,571 between the pre- and post-tests. The paired sample t-test indicates that the rejection of H0 and acceptance of H1 is indicated by the sig value (2-tailed) of 0,000 < 0,05, based on data analysis using SPSS version 23. The results of the study demonstrate that tailored teaching based on live worksheets has an effect on the mathematical learning outcomes of students at SMA Negeri 1 Jawilan, Kabupaten Serang.

Abstract

Trigonometry continues to pose a significantchallenge for Indonesian learners, with recurring mistakesimpeding their academic development. This comprehensiveliterature review explores the various types of error patterns intrigonometry and examines the educational factors that contributeto these challenges. Utilizing the PRISMA framework, wereviewed six pertinent studies from an initial selection of 279publications. The results classify errors into four primarycategories: comprehension errors (misinterpreting problems),transformation errors (selecting incorrect formulas), process skillerrors (mistakes in calculations), and encoding errors (issues withpresenting final answers). These errors were linked to severaleducational factors, including deficiencies in foundationalknowledge, an overreliance on memorization, insufficientproblem-solving instruction, and assessment approaches thatprioritize outcomes rather than the processes involved. Theresearch underscores the necessity for pedagogical changes thatprioritize conceptual understanding, real-world applications, andthe development of metacognitive skills. These findings offerimportant recommendations for educators and policymakers whoaim to enhance trigonometry teaching in Indonesia andcomparable educational settings

Abstract

Pembelajaran matematika yang kompleks sering kali menyebabkan peningkatan beban kognitif bagi siswa, sehingga menghambat pemahaman dan penyimpanan informasi. Contoh-contoh yang dikerjakan merupakan pendekatan yang efektif untuk meminimalkan beban kognitif dalam pendidikan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meninjau dampak strategi contoh-contoh yang dikerjakan terhadap beban kognitif siswa menggunakan metode Tinjauan Literatur Sistematis (SLR). Studi ini mengumpulkan data dari 17 artikel ilmiah yang diterbitkan antara tahun 2017 dan 2024, dengan fokus pada 5 artikel yang terkait dengan beban kognitif, 5 artikel tentang contoh-contoh yang dikerjakan, dan 7 artikel tentang dampak contoh-contoh yang dikerjakan terhadap beban kognitif. Analisis tersebut melibatkan identifikasi, evaluasi, dan sintesis informasi yang komprehensif dari artikel-artikel tersebut. Hasil tinjauan literatur ini menunjukkan bahwa penerapan strategi contoh-contoh yang dikerjakan secara efektif mengurangi beban kognitif, khususnya beban ekstrinsik, dan membantu siswa memahami konsep matematika yang kompleks. Contoh-contoh yang dikerjakan juga membantu mengurangi beban kognitif intrinsik dengan memberikan contoh-contoh konkret dan langkah-langkah terstruktur. Selain itu, strategi ini telah terbukti meningkatkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah dan efisiensi kognitif siswa. Berdasarkan temuan-temuan ini, para pendidik didorong untuk mengadopsi strategi contoh-contoh yang dikerjakan dalam desain instruksional untuk mengelola beban kognitif siswa secara efektif, khususnya bagi pelajar pemula. Penggunaan strategi ini dapat meningkatkan prestasi akademik siswa dengan upaya mental yang lebih rendah dan mendukung pembelajaran yang lebih mendalam dan terintegrasi.

Abstract

Pendidikan matematika di era modern berfokus pada pengembangan kemampuan reasoning dan sense-making, yang merupakan dua elemen kognitif penting dalam pemecahan masalah matematika. Dengan penerapan pembelajaran bermakna diharapkan tujuan dari pengembangan tersebut tercapai dengan melihat tren global guna melihat pendekatan matematika yang cocok untuk pengembangan tersebut. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode analisis bibliometrik Dengan bantuan perangkat lunak Harzing’s Publish or Perish (PoP). Kemudian dianalisis menggunakan VOSviewers. Berdasarkan penelitian yang telah dilakukan terdapat 50 artikel yang memiliki tema terkait meningkatkan kemampuan reasoning dan sense-making matematika melalui pembelajaran bermakna. dengan rentang publikasi tahun 2020-2024. Diperoleh 37 artikel yang sudah melalui penyaringan. Berdasarkan hasil analisis dapat disimpulkan beberapa hal berikut: (1) tren publikasi terkait tema cenderung mengalami penurunan dari tahun 2020 menuju 2021 sedangkan untuk Tahun 2022 mengalami peningkatan dan pada tahun 2023 turun kembali hingga tahun 2024; (2) Topik penelitian lebih banyak terkonsentrasi tiga aspek yaitu pembelajaran, model, dan student; (3) Topik yang berpotensi untuk dilakukan penelitian lebih lanjut terkait analisis kemampuan guru maupun siswa, dan pendekatan khusus guna meningkatkan kemampuan reasoning dan sense-making matematika. Selanjutnya pendekatan realistik dan saintifik juga efektif untuk meningkatkan reasoning dan sense-making siswa dalam pembelajaran matematika.

Abstract

Seiring dengan pesatnya perkembangan teknologi di dunia pendidikan, penggunaan media pembelajaran semakin mendesak dalam proses belajar mengajar. Penelitian ini secara khusus bertujuan untuk mengungkap sejauh mana media pembelajaran interaktif dapat memberikan kontribusi dalam meningkatkan pemahaman konsep aljabar siswa SMP. Melalui pendekatan kajian pustaka sistematis, peneliti menganalisis 15 artikel terkait selama 10 tahun terakhir. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan media pembelajaran interaktif berpengaruh signifikan terhadap peningkatan pemahaman konsep aljabar. Dari berbagai penelitian, jelas terlihat bahwa media pembelajaran interaktif dapat membuat siswa lebih bersemangat dalam belajar, seperti belajar lebih giat, dan nilai ujiannya pun ikut meningkat. Beberapa contoh media pembelajaran interaktif yang umum digunakan untuk mempelajari aljabar antara lain E-Book, LKPD, Android, Game Edukasi, Geogebra, dll. Selain itu, peneliti juga mengidentifikasi berbagai model pengembangan media pembelajaran interaktif yang dapat disesuaikan dengan kemampuan dan metode belajar siswa serta materi pembelajaran.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the application of reciprocal teaching strategy on circle in class VIII at SMP Negeri 8 Banda Aceh. This research is descriptive quantitative and uses pre-experimental design in the form of one-shot case study. The research sample was students of class VIII-5 SMP Negeri 8 Banda Aceh with a total of 29 students, who were taken by purposive sampling. The results of data analysis were obtained from student response questionnaires, student learning outcomes tests, student activity observations and observations of teacher ability to manage learning. The results of this study showed that (1) the teacher's ability to manage learning in the very good category with an average score of 3.79; (2) student activities during learning took place in a very active category reaching 97.42%; (3) student learning completeness was classically complete reaching a percentage of 86.20%; and (4) student responses in the very good category reached a percentage of 85.11%. Based on the research, it is concluded that the application of reciprocal teaching strategy is effective on circle material in class VIII at SMP Negeri 8 Banda Aceh. Therefore, future research needs to consider revealing students' thinking process in learning.

Abstract

Abstract The study investigated the effect of round robin instructional strategy on development of students’ mathematical skills in secondary schools. The study was carried out in secondary schools in Ngor Okpala Local Government Area of Imo State, Nigeria. Three research hypotheses guided the study based on the objectives. The study was a quasi-experimental research type adopting the pre-test, posttest non equivalent control design. The instrument for data collection was a researcher made test titled “Mathematics achievement test MAT”. The instrument had reliability coefficient of 0.75 determined using persons product Moment Correlation Coefficient (PPMC). The experiment group was taught using round robin instructional strategy, while the control group was taught using conventional approach.  The data generated were analyzed using ANCOVA to test the hypotheses at 0.05 level of significance. The results of the study showed that the round robin instructional strategy increases students' mathematics achievement. No significant difference was found between the achievement scores of male and female students taught mathematics using the round robin instructional strategy. It was recommended that secondary school mathematics teachers should try to use round robin instructional strategies to teach mathematics in order to increase students’ achievement.
