Abstract

Utilization of ultisols in Southeast Sulawesi may be approached by inoculating viable arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi (AMF) exposing plant growth-promoting activities to the growth of native economical plants. This study investigated a combination of AMF and liquid organic fertilizers from coconut husks to improve the growth of soybean plants grown on ultisols as one of the potential marginal soils in the region. The coconut husk served as an abundant, cheap, yet potential source for the preparation of liquid organic fertilizers. This study used two factorial design with four treatment levels. The first factor was designed for different AMF species (10 g/pots): control (M0), Acaulospora delicata (M1), Septoglomus constrictum (M2), and Claroideoglomus etunicatum (M3) while the second factor was designed for different concentration of liquid organic fertilizer (mL/pots): control (P0), 150 mL/pots (P1), 200 mL/pots (P2), and 250 mL/pots (P3). Based on ANOVA results, the independent application of AMF species and liquid organic fertilizers gave significant results in regards to the experimental variables such as plant height, number of leaves, leaf area, and stem diameter. The best combination of treatment was observed in the treatment using Septoglomus constrictum with the concentration of liquid organic fertilizer of 250 mL (M2P3) to yield the highest growth performance of soybean plants on ultisols.

Abstract

Farmers' household income is an indicator of the level of prosperity by looking at the amount of expenses and family expenses. Mango production, which has increased every year, needs to be assessed according to the level of household poverty. The purpose of this study was to determine the household level of mango farmers in Situbondo Regency. The research location was determined purposively in the Makmur Jaya I Farmers Group, Jangkar District, Situbondo Regency. Population and sample with saturated sampling technique with a population as well as a sample of 25 respondents. Data were collected through primary data (direct interviews using a questionnaire) and secondary data from related agencies and literature related to this study. The data were analyzed by using quantitative descriptive analysis which was measured using Sajogyo's poverty theory. The prosperity level of the members of the Makmur Jaya I Farmer Group is in the decent living category of 64% and the moderate category of 36%. None of the mango farmers in this group are below the poverty line.

Abstract

The main function of a bank is based on banking law no. 7 of 1992 is as an intermediary institution. As an intermediary institution, banks must be able to maintain profitability ratios and capital adequacy ratios. This is because the capital adequacy ratio of a bank is an important benchmark for consumers or users of these banking services. The focus of this research is to determine how much influence the profitability ratio of a bank, namely the ratio of NIM, OEOI and ROE to the Bank's Capital Adequacy, namely the CAR variable. The research method used is quantitative analysis using multiple linear regression. The results showed that all profitability ratios had a simultaneous effect on bank capital adequacy. Meanwhile, for the individual effect, only the ROE variable has no effect, while the other variables, namely NIM and BOPO, have a partial effect on CAR.

Abstract

The present study was conducted aiming to isolate and characterize endophytic bacterial isolates with antibacterial ability, phosphate solubilization, and proteolytic activity from rhizomes of the Zingiberaceae family (Etlingera sp., Globba patens, Globba pendula, and Zingiber multibracteata). Nineteen bacterial isolates were obtained from Zingiberaceae rhizomes with isolate codes of EZS27, EZS18, EZS19, EZS25, EZS16, EZS08, EZS09, EZS13, EZS20, EZS14, EZS10, EZS11, EZS03, EZS05, EZS06, EZS43, EZS45, EZS47, and EZS28. The screening of the endophytes for antibacterial activity was done through the paper disc method. Four bacterial isolates presented antibacterial activities. EZS06 isolate inhibited the growth of EPEC (11 mm), P. vulgaris ATCC 13315 (10 mm), and L. monocytogenes BTCC B693 (9 mm). Also, EZS20 isolate inhibited the growth of S. aureus ATCC 29213 (17 mm), EZS28 isolate inhibited MRSA ATCC 43300 (8.6 mm), and EZS45 isolate inhibited S. Epidermidis ATCC 12228 (9 mm). The EZS19, EZS03, and EZS16 isolates dissolved the phosphate most effectively. Eight isolates (EZS19, EZS47, EZS27, EZS25, EZS09, EZS20, EZS45, and EZS06) showed the best protease activity. In general, our results showed that the endophytic bacterial strains can be used as a new and useful antibacterial agent since it showed antibacterial activity and chemical diversity. Furthermore, it also has the potential for exploitation in a wide variety of medical, agricultural, and industrial areas.

Abstract

The selection of cloud computing services requires careful consideration and review. Some aspects of the criteria that must be considered such as direct selection between services that take a long time and need to be done repeatedly. Decision Support System with Weighted Product (WP) method is an effective method because the time needed for calculation is much shorter. The purpose of this research is to apply Weighted Product (WP) method in the decision support system to choose cloud computing services where as a case study is PT Deptech Digital Indonesia, so that it can make it easier for companies to make decisions according to their needs. The calculation results using the WP method give preference to the top 3 services: Google Cloud, Amazon Web Services and Microsoft Azure. This proves that research with the WP method can be applied to various services that will be used in the future according to predetermined criteria. Based on these results, the system can recommend cloud computing services according to the needs and a good level of accuracy.

Abstract

An effort to meet the national food need is by utilizing productive forest areas under albizia stands. Food stuff such as peanuts can grow under albizia forest stands. The purpose of this research was to know success of agroforestry system implemented to tree after initial release of contract. This study was conducted under albizia stand of state forest Magetan in East Java. Research design was used in this study was randomized block design. 5- year- old albizia stages with 0%, 25%, 50 % trimming intensity with plant spacing of 3 m x 4 m, Albizia trees that used for this comparison as many as 90 albizia trees. Results showed that soil lies under 5-year-old albizia trees still produced peanut with highest weights 129 g/m and lowest weight 117 g/m2 while highest biomass about 115.10 g and lowest biomass about 98.23 g. Application of agroforestry system under 5-year-old albizia stand is still good and intensive, creating work, improving social welfare, local community opinion change into positive perceptions for forestry development, forest protection, forest fire prevention, reducing rapid forest degradation and environmental quality conservation of forest areas.

This study uses the correlation with cross sectional approach. The sampling technique used in the study simple random sampling. Results:the results of the study showed respondents aged between 15-18 years old with 43 people sex men (53,1%), the female gender as much as 38 respondents (46.9%). The religiosity of young students the most in both categories as many as 53 respondents (65,4%) and attitude in the prevention of HIV/AIDS infection in the positive category as much as 64 respondents (79,0%). Based on the analysis provided by kendall's Tau (?) there is a meaningful relationship between religiosity and attitudes in the prevention of HIV infection/AIDS with the result p= 0.000 which means ? value <0.05. Based on these results it can be concluded there is a relationship between Religiosity with Attitudes of Adolescents In Prevention of HIV/AIDS Infection in Class XI SMAN 3 Palangka Raya.
