Abstract

Oral health status remains a pressing concern in Indonesia, demanding urgent attention. This stems from low public awareness and understanding of the significance of dental care, high treatment costs, and a tendency among dental practitioners to prioritize treatment over prevention. This community service initiative aimed to enhance knowledge, awareness, and promote healthy lifestyle habits among children in Dusun Pakelan, Desa Sumberarum, Moyudan, Sleman, DIY. The implementation method involved five stages: education and practice of Healthy Lifestyle and Behavior (PHBS), counseling and practice of oral health (KESGILUT), distribution of free toothbrushes and toothpaste, and group exercise. The outcomes revealed a 15.17% improvement in children's knowledge, awareness, and skills regarding oral cavity hygiene. Healthy lifestyle behaviors also witnessed an improvement, with an 8.95% increase in knowledge.

The activities employed included lectures, discussions, and hands-on training. The outcomes revealed a significant improvement in takmir masjid competence, particularly in utilizing MOSQ for mosque management. Abstract

Low Back Pain (LBP) sufferers often experience sharp pain triggered by certain postures or movements, which improves after rest and worsens after activity. Signs of inflammation such as heat, discoloration, or swelling are rarely observed. The aim of this activity is to provide appropriate education on treatment to prevent increased pain and changes in posture due to LBP, by offering Neuromuscular Taping (NMT) Treatment and William flexion exercises. This activity employs various approaches, including Focus Group Discussion (FGD) and distribution of leaflets on the role of physiotherapy in LBP education and prevention, as well as educational interventions on neuromuscular taping application and William flexion exercises. This activity yields significant benefits for the health and well-being of LBP sufferers, evidenced by a substantial reduction in pain (p<0.001), with a mean VAS score decreasing from 6.93 ± 0.73 before treatment to 4.07 ± 0.83 after treatment.
