Abstract

Morbidity and mortality rates rise as a result of noncommunicable diseases (NCDs). The government's attention to NCDs is through the integrated development center (Posbindu). Posbindu's implementation, on the other hand, needs to be improved. The objective of this community service is to assess cadre motivation for training participation. The community service method is training through lectures and discussions. According to the findings, age characteristics of 36-45 years (63.6%), secondary school graduate education (43.8%), not working (77.8%), and 2-3 years of being a cadre (80%) affect cadres' high motivation to participate in training. The conclusion is that the motivation level is influenced by the characteristics of cadres.

Abstract

The community service was carried out at SMK Muhammadiyah Panceng, Gresik Regency, East Java. The issue is a lack of public awareness about the importance of planting vegetables and trees, as well as a lack of opportunities to do so. The purpose of this community service is to raise awareness about the importance of planting trees and vegetables, as well as how to use vacant land to do so. A workshop and seed planting are used to carry out the method. The service team distributed vegetable and tree seeds to eight lands, including kindergarden, vocational high school, and higher education. This workshop was successful in increasing partners' knowledge and skills in planting vegetables and trees for use by families and communities. It even has the potential to increase fund income in schools and institutions.

Abstract

In attending an interview, many job seekers did not realize the importance of non-verbal communication to empower their personal and professional branding in job recruitment. The webinar was conducted to discuss the non-verbal communication as a self-branding media in job interview for students, fresh graduate, and public. This webinar aimed at providing basic knowledge on the typical of non-verbal communication which empower the quality of self-branding, including body language, gestures, facial expressions, eye contact, smiles, and the selection of business attire. This webinar was attended by 47 participants. The webinar unravels several body languages and business attires that could support the job seekers’ personal branding. This webinar could help the participants in attending the interview and increasing their motivation to apply for a job

Abstract

In Tambak Boyo Village, school-aged children account for roughly 14% of the total population. The school years are an ideal time to instill the values of clean and healthy living (PHBS). Given that children will return to school in the new normal period, PHBS in schools feels even more important. The purpose of this service is to improve people's health by instilling a clean and healthy lifestyle in young children in order to prevent disease transmission, particularly the current epidemic, Covid-19, through hand washing and tooth brushing. The program's implementation methods begin with lecturing on the material, then demonstrating proper hand washing and tooth brushing to maintain oral health, and finally mentoring PAUD children as they practice hand washing and tooth brushing. The results of the activities carried out on 30 children revealed that 86.7 percent of them could wash their hands sequentially according to the five steps of handwashing, and 73.3 percent could brush their teeth properly.

Abstract

During discussions with the teachers at Said Na'um Islamic Junior High School, it was discovered that there were issues with the school's facilities and infrastructure, specifically the lack of printed learning resources as enrichment materials for students. Therefore, it was agreed on priorities for teacher problem solving efforts in improving information literacy competence, so that they are able to utilize technology-based information. The implementation of this service involves several steps, including observation, implementation, and program evaluation. The implementation of the training on digital literacy skills will be held in September 2021. The results of the activity show a good response from teachers where 85% actively attend the program, 50% of them submitted the task and have been able to use digital technology well. As for 80% of the participants have mastered the ability to browse the literature.

Abstract

Optimizing health services during the pandemic is something that hospitals must do in order to keep improving service quality. This community service aims to educate nurses on how to use digital technology-based nursing services in the pandemic. Health education is provided through webinars, as a method of implementing this community service program. The majority of webinar participants (60%) had sufficient knowledge based on the results of the pretest. Following the presentation of the material, it can be concluded that there has been an increase in knowledge, with 182 participants (90%) having excellent knowledge. Nursing services are benefiting from digital innovation not only in terms of workforce management, but also in terms of changing the way care is delivered. Nurses are crucial in the adoption of digital tools and information technology to improve patient care. This is due to the fact that the quality of digital care delivery has risen to the forefront of healthcare and is being scrutinized more than ever before.

Abstract

Nata de coco business development has good economic potential. Nata de coco is a low-calorie snack whose fiber can aid physiological processes. It has an appealing aroma and can be prepared in a variety of flavors, and it lasts a long time. The nata de coco snack was chosen as the training material because it can be prepared with simple processing technologies, making it simple to execute for students. The purpose of the program for SMA Kesatrian 1 Semarang students is to strengthen their business skills. Lectures, debates, and practices are used to carry out the program method. The program's results reveal that students understand and can produce nata de coco, as well as the different types of nata. Students believed that the nata-making course was quite beneficial in increasing their excitement for entrepreneurship.

Abstract

The existence of a vacancy in the village head office may affect the village's service process. With three vacant village civil service positions, the Government of Tirtonirmolo Village, Kapanewon Kasihan, Bantul Regency, DI Yogyakarta had a vacancy problem. These issues can be resolved by using a selection exam system to pick village authorities. This program aims to provide assistance in the selection process for village officials. Coordination with the village committee, identification and preparation of exam questions, and implementation of the selection of candidates for village authorities are all steps of this service. As a result of this service, a selection system that complies with regional regulations has been developed. The results of the selection are also made transparent by announcing it in front of the selection exam participants and the village selection committee.

Abstract

The Tanjung UMKM group in Sidokerto Village, Buduran District, Sidoarjo Regency, is a partner in the ecoprint training. In regard to the ecotourism industry that the Sidoarjo Regency Government is now developing, the concern raised is enhancing the abilities of the MSME group through ecoprints to boost product competitiveness. This program is carried out with ecoprints, which are inexpensive and environmentally friendly. This business will grow in natural tourism locations as souvenirs and regional features, in addition to being environmentally beneficial. The purpose of this service program is to train the local community how to make batik using natural dyes that are environmentally friendly. The MSME group was approached partially face to face throughout this activity. MSME partners were satisfied with this program, and there was a greater understanding of how to make batik from natural materials.

Abstract

Elderly Posyandu provide not only health services to the elderly, but also social, religious, educational, skills, sports, arts, and cultural services, among other things. The difficulties encountered include how to provide advice and implement health protocols during the implementation of the Elderly Posyandu, as well as nutrition education. The primary objective of this program is to raise public awareness about the importance of following health protocols and to improve public health. Empowering the Kusuma Elderly Posyandu, creating health protocol media, and measuring the success of program implementation, monitoring, and evaluation are the three stages of the program implementation method. This program has been well-implemented, with mentoring and improved facilities to support the Kusuma Elderly Posyandu's activities. As a result of this activity, Kusuma's posyandu services for the elderly can now provide more comprehensive, orderly, and in-demand services to the local community, particularly the elderly.
