Abstract

Advances in technology have made it impossible for everyone to avoid using gadgets. The devices used are varied, ranging from mobile phones, computers, laptops, etc. Social media applications used are various types and are very applicable. Device users are not only from workers, but children and adolescents are using it. Social media contains educational content, skills, hobbies, entertainment, and adult content. The problems are some children often choose adult shows and the time spent using the device often escapes parental supervision. The purpose of this program is to transfer knowledge regarding solutions in using devices using the service learning (SL) method. Device use in children and early adolescents needs to be regulated starting from the time of use, supervision, purpose, accessible content, and where to use the device. The results of community service are that the role of parents and family is very important in educating young children and adolescents in using gadgets wisely, children understand the limitations of using devices from the length of time they are used, places, and materials that can be seen.

Abstract

Banjarharjo Village is a village that is suitable for instilling the value of moderation, especially religious moderation. But in reality tolerance from a religious perspective is still lacking. This community service aims to internalize moderation in society, especially religious education. The method used is PAR, with the stages of planning, implementing, observing and reflecting. The results of the activity showed a positive response from the TPQ manager, village residents and village officials, that how important it is as religious people living in a plural society to uphold the philosophy of moderation in religion.

Abstract

An approach to get around difficulties in discovering reasonable feed materials is to use ex-mining land and palm oil waste in fish farming. This affects the minimal outcomes and profits realized from the business operations. In order to improve the quality of fish farming products, this community service aims to improve the community's knowledge and expertise regarding the use of waste palm oil as fish food. Training sessions using the lecture method, practice sessions, and mentoring are used to provide this program. After this program, the partners' understanding of processing palm oil waste as a source of fish farming feed improved, which enabled them to increase profits from their business.

Abstract

Potato (Solanum tuberosum L.) is one of the horticultural commodities that is widely consumed by the public. One of the potato-producing areas in West Java is Pangalengan, Bandung Regency. One of the important factors that influence the success of cultivation is the provision of land according to the needs for the growth and development of potato plants. This technical note was made as a means of information regarding technical land management for potato cultivation at an altitude of 1,200 meters above sea level. The methods used to obtain information include observation, interviews, and literature studies. The results of the observation and interview activities show that land preparation for the preparation of potato cultivation is included in conventional land management techniques (maximum tillage). Land preparation activities carried out include loosening the soil, applying dolomite, applying basic fertilizer, applying insecticides, making beds, installing mulch, and making planting holes.

Abstract

Stunting is a nutritional problem in the world, especially in poor and developing countries. Stunting is a problem that leads to delays in motor development and mental growth. This counseling activity aims to increase adolescent knowledge about premarital to prevent stunting in Donorojo Tegalrejo Village, Magelang Regency. The counseling activity was attended by 40 youths from Donorojo Village. This activity was carried out with pre-test, counseling on premarital preparation, and post-test. Counseling activities succeeded in increasing adolescent premarital knowledge in preventing stunting by 5.41%.

Abstract

People in the Danukusuman Village, Surakarta are facing various problems in various sectors of life due to the pandemic, which has caused the community's stress level to increase. When the Covid 19 pandemic subsided, people began to move and rise from adversity. Spiritual and social intelligence is very important for people to come up calmly and full of hope. This community service aims to educate the spiritual and social life of the people in the Danukusuman village, Surakarta. The center of this program is at the Tjokrosoekarno Danukusuman Mosque. The methodology in this community service is community education using lectures, discussions, social services, teaching, training, tablig akbar, and environmental observations. The result of this program is the intelligence in their spiritual life increases. This can be seen from their increasing ability in reading the Qur'an and increasing Islamic insight. Likewise, the social life of the community is getting better, with the existing social activities. With a good spiritual and social life, it is easier for people to rise up post- pandemic.

Abstract

The focus of this community service is the lack of knowledge and skills in maintaining eye health. This community service aims to increase the knowledge and behavior of the YADIN Brebes congregation regarding efforts to maintain visual acuity. There were 97 participants in the activity where 27.84% were elderly. The method includes counseling, examination and consultation on the results of eye refraction tests and the distribution of eye drops. Participants who need glasses are given free reading glasses. The results of the refractive test of the right and left eyes showed that 45.36% had a brittle eye lens, where 32.98% of them were recommended for cataract surgery.

Abstract

For women who are also mothers, especially those with low education, trading is an alternative job that generates money. Without innovation, it is certain that consumers will quickly get bored and their business will sink in the midst of hectic competition. Therefore, efforts to foster innovative behavior in the family are leadership, especially transformational. This is because a transformational leader can create attitudes and conditions that evoke the innovative behavior of his followers and thus achieve the desired creative results. Based on the problems in the group of mothers assisted by the Cempaka Wangi Foundation in Bintaro, South Jakarta, the purpose of this service is to help mothers foster innovative family behavior. The method used is counseling about the role of leadership and innovation in the family. Based on the evaluation results, all participants stated that their understanding of leadership and innovation had increased.

Abstract

There are many programs that have been initiated in order to foster tolerance values in society. One of the religious organizations is the manager or DKM of the mosque which plays a role in spreading moderate understanding. The purpose of this community service is to increase the capacity of the administrators of the At-Taqwa Mosque network in fostering an understanding of religious moderation. The method used in community service is the Participatory Rural Appraisal (PRA) approach. The workshop activities received a positive response from the participants and it was proven by the level of satisfaction of 82.4 points.

Abstract

The low level of human resources is caused by several factors, one of which is considered quite urgent is the low fighting power of the Indonesian generation. The purpose of this community service is to provide psychoeducation regarding the understanding of what kind of parenting can support the development of grit in adolescents. The method used in this community service is service learning, which integrates academic activities into community empowerment which in turn provides opportunities for service providers to reflect on the things that have been implemented. The result of this activity is an increase in grit in students through parenting.
