Abstract

The construction of the highway is generally in the form of asphalt and aggregate mixing which is then referred to as flexible pavement. Asphalt Concrete layer (AC) is the surface layer of the structure of the highway that provides comfort in driving also serves to withstand the loads of repetitive traffic due to passing vehicles. Concrete waste is very easy to find in road demolition and laboratory test results waste. The purpose of this study is to analyze whether the use of K-250 quality concrete waste from laboratory test results waste in the form of cube waste used as coarse aggregate in AC-WC pavement mixing fulfill in Bina Marga specifications. From the results of calculations and laboratory tests, the results show that K-250 quality concrete waste as a substitute for coarse aggregate meets the minimum requirements of 2018 Highways. In the optimum asphalt content (KOA) of 7.03%, the results of MQ 555,845, VMA value is 17.98, VIM value is 3.08 which all the results have fulfilled in the 2018 Bina Marga requirements. The conclusion from the results of laboratory testing is that the K-250 quality concrete waste can be used as an alternative to coarse aggregate.

Abstract

Sekolah Tinggi Teknologi Payakumbuh multi-purpose building is planned to have 3 floors with different functions on each floor. In the existing conditions this building still consists of 2 floors with the function of the 1st floor as a Civil Engineering Laboratory and the 2nd floor as a hall. The construction is carried out in stages and there are changes to the function of the building so that before continuing construction it is necessary to carry out an assessment to determine the impact of the conversion of the building on the feasibility of the multi-purpose building structure. The method used in this research is a quantitative method through visual assessment and technical assessment using testing equipment. Based on the results of the visual assessment, it was known that the categories of damage that occurred were structural and non-structural damage. Structural category II (minor) damage that occurs, namely fine cracks in several parts of the beam and stains on several beams, then non-structural Sek category I (minor) damage that occurs, namely fine cracks in several parts of the wall and stains in several parts of the wall . From the results of the technical assessment, namely the sondir results obtained the depth of hard soil is at a depth of 7 meters, while from the results of the Hammer Test obtained the average compressive strength for the structural components of the columns, beams and plates are fc' = 20.3 MPa, fc' = 20.7 MPa and fc' = 23.2 MPa respectively. The results of the building capacity analysis show that the construction cannot be continued to 3 floors considering that the building load for the 3-story condition exceeds the ability of the building capacity in the existing condition.

Abstract

The development of urban areas is so rapid, especially in the field of construction projects such as building construction. The development of urban areas is followed by the development of increasingly sophisticated technologies, especially in this concrete technology. This results in an increase in the concrete mixture. However, the numerous demands for the strength of high quality concrete motivate the writer to investigate by using nano silica mixtures as added ingredients. In this thesis, the writers use a mixture of K-300 concrete with nano silica which is adjusted to the levels that have been calculated with the aim to determine changes in the slump value, compressive strength and bonding time of the concrete. In this study, a mixture of fresh concrete with K-300 quality was mixed with nano silica with levels of 3%, 5% and 7% to cement and normal concrete with 0% nano silica as a control. The writers carry out the process of compressive strength testing of concrete in accordance with the age of concrete that has been determined that is 7, 14, 21, and 28 days with slump values about ± 12 . At the age of 28 days the results obtained were compressive strength of 208,940 kg/cm2, 216,560 kg/cm2 and 240,770 kg/cm2 with nano silica content of 3%, 5% and 7%, which experienced a decrease in compressive strength of concrete compared to the results obtained in compressive strength of normal concrete was 265,68 kg/cm2.

Abstract

The high interest in public sports in Batam City in early 2020, such as basketball, volleyball, and badminton, has an impact on the high activity of using sports facilities or sports fields. However, it is not accompanied by the availability of sufficient sports fields. The author conducted research, namely planning sports facilities that include 3 sports games that at the same time can minimize the use of such a large area. It, later, can be used as a multifunctional sports facility. The author conducted a field planning with a length of 36 m and a width of 28.3 m. The author planned the structure of the sports field spectator stands using a steel roof frame following the provisions of the Indonesian National Standard. The loads put into the steel roof truss structure were in the form of dead loads, live loads, and wind loads. The dead load includes CNP profic load, spandex roof, and the live load includes rainwater load. The material structure used was the IWF steel column with size 400 x 400 x 120 kg/m and steel roof with IWF size 500 x 200 x 103 kg / m. The author analyzed the structure using the SAP2000 program. The results of plate analysis using SAP2000 that withstand a live load of 500 kg/ m² and a dead load of 62 kg.m², can withstand a given load and plate reinforcement using D10-170. The results of beam analysis in SAP2000 and beam planning calculations were the beam can support the existing structure and receive Mu of 2.72 kNm, beam reinforcement uses 2D12 and the block beam uses Ø6-140. The author expects the planning made can be useful for Civil Engineering students and others as a reference or guideline in planning.

Abstract

The volume of vehicle traffic or the number of vehicles is one of the factors that affect the damage or causes of road damage. Flexible pavement is generally used on roads in Indonesia, especially in urban areas with high traffic levels. With the increasing number of vehicles every year in the city of Batam, there is a possibility that the roads in Batam will experience accelerated road damage in a relatively short period of time or not in accordance with the road plan age. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the number of vehicles on the level of road damage on flexible pavement. This study uses an analytical method by looking for a correlation or relationship between the number of vehicles and the number of road damage levels, and the method used is nonlinear regression analysis, namely by comparing the two variables x to the variable y and to obtain the results of the relationship function between the two variables with the R2 value of the coefficient of determination. From the equation that has been obtained, the value of the coefficient x1 = 0.00241, which can be defined if the number of vehicles crossing the road is 100 vehicles/day, then the road damage caused by the number of vehicles is 0.241, while for the coefficient x2 = -0 .0016786 which can be defined if the age of the road section reaches 100 hours, the value of road damage on this section is -0.0167, and constant = 75.418
