The criteria for filtering journal articles are based on PRISMA and JBI standards. Data suggested that covid-19 event ignite the research production. The research domains for pre covid-19 were focused on human resource growth and development, while post covid-19 domains were focused on survival and resilient. Country rank of most published paper related to the locus field also related to worldwide survey of economic growth in pre to post covid-19 pandemic. Abstract

This study aims to review the adverse effects of the dark side of leadership on employees’ psychological states, including distress and anxiety, after the COVID-19 pandemic, through the lens of psychological theories. A literature review was used to examine the dark side of leadership, which included any form of abusive, toxic, or destructive behaviors and characteristics that negatively affect the psychological states of employees. The effect on employees’ psychological state is crucial as it can influence their attitudes and performance. The Conservation of Resources and the Psychological Contract theory were employed to explain the emergence of the dark leaders’ behaviors and their consequences on employees’ psychological states in anticipation of extreme organizational changes after the pandemic. The employees’ psychological resources could be depleted due to exposure to abusive leaders while adapting to organizational changes post the pandemic. Also, the mistreatments from the destructive leaders could breach the employees’ psychological contract. The emergence of dark leadership practices might cause psychological distress. Previous psychological studies suggest that the psychological resources of employees can be replenished by seeking social support, while the organization can contribute by implementing intervention programs.

Abstract

The ever-intensifying global competition necessitates strong leadership, particularly within public organizations. Leaders must not only possess a profound understanding of complex global issues but also demonstrate the agility to navigate them. This necessitates continuous improvement of leadership knowledge and its practical application across various domains. This study employs a bibliometric analysis using Vosviewer software to examine the role of leadership in public organizations. The analysis focuses on 413 relevant journal articles published within a ten-year timeframe, ranging from 2013 to 2022. The results reveal nine distinct clusters of research themes, offering a comprehensive landscape of contemporary leadership scholarship in the public sector. Notably, the analysis identifies a relative scarcity of research on "ionic leadership." To equip future public sector leaders with a multifaceted understanding of leadership styles and their effectiveness, further investigation into diverse leadership approaches and their impact within public organizations is crucial. By delving deeper into the nuances of leadership within this complex environment, this research aims to contribute valuable insights for both leadership development and effective public service delivery. Additionally, this study can serve as a springboard for future research that explores under-investigated leadership styles, such as "ionic leadership," and their potential to enhance public service effectiveness.

Abstract

The study focused into the relationship between laboratory importance perceptions and academic performance in biology among private and public school students. Study sample involving 165 students from 5 private and 6 public senior high school across South Sulawesi, Indonesia. All private school only possessed an integrated science lab, while all public school owned at least 3 science labs (biology, chemistry, and physics). Evaluation on laboratory importance and biology test results proceed to reveal the importance of having designed laboratory to enhance biology learning outcome in the middle of technological advancement, where learning resource vary across platforms. Surprisingly, private schools, despite having lower scores in laboratory importance perception, achieved superior results in biology tests compared to public schools. This suggests that while laboratory experiences are valuable, they may not be the sole determinants of academic success. Other factors like teaching methods, curriculum depth, and student motivation likely contribute significantly. These findings highlight the complexity of factors influencing student performance in biology and the need for a comprehensive approach to education. Understanding these dynamics can inform educational policies including funds allocation in a school and practices to optimize learning outcomes in biology subjects.

Abstract

It's a study with a qualitative approach through action research. With the aim of teaching addition using the Mariela-Lehren-addieren method to students in 3rd and 4th grade. The Method of teaching addition is from the teaching of the basic skills of mathematical thinking, design and evaluation of the teaching strategy, the concept of number positional value, sign, concept of grouping, regrouping of numbers, the algorithm of addition, the practice of it with numerical exercises and reasoned problems. It is concluded that 18 students out of 21, achieved the learning of addition up to 4 digits with the Mariela-Lehren-addieren method through action research. It's inferred that the problems that arise in the learning of the addition, can be rooted by lack of systematic approach in previous educational cycles of the student, absences, learning problems, teaching models, motivation and school synergy.

Abstract

This study examines the implementation of academic supervision as a strategy to improve teaching and learning quality at MTs Negeri Palopo. Academic supervision systematically involves classroom observations, constructive feedback, and collaborative discussions between supervisors and teachers to enhance professional development and align teaching practices with curriculum standards. The research identifies strong collaboration between supervisors and teachers, proactive school leadership, and adequate resource provision as key factors contributing to academic supervision's success. Teachers are actively involved in decision-making and benefit from evidence-based feedback derived from student performance data. Efforts to improve teaching and learning quality at MTs Negeri Palopo include teacher professional development programs, curriculum refinement, classroom management guidance, and data-driven interventions. These initiatives are facilitated through internal forums, external training, and supervisory support, enabling teachers to adopt innovative instructional practices and address classroom challenges effectively. Despite these successes, challenges such as limited time for supervision, resistance to feedback, and occasional communication gaps hinder the full potential of academic supervision. The findings suggest that addressing these challenges through improved time management, fostering openness to feedback, and enhancing communication strategies can amplify the positive impact of supervision on teaching quality and student outcomes. By optimizing academic supervision practices, MTs Negeri Palopo can continue to deliver high-quality education and serve as a model for similar educational institutions.

Abstract

Religious moderation has become a critical issue in contemporary education, particularly in multicultural societies like Indonesia. This study explores the leadership practices of school principals in promoting religious moderation in elementary schools in Rantepao Sub-district, North Toraja Regency. Employing a qualitative descriptive approach with a case study method, data were collected through observations, interviews, and documentation at two schools: SD Kristen Rantepao 5 and SD Negeri 1 Rantepao. The findings reveal that school principals play a pivotal role in fostering inclusive environments that reflect the values of tolerance, harmony, and mutual respect. Strategies include integrating religious moderation into the curriculum, implementing interfaith extracurricular activities, and adopting participatory and adaptive leadership approaches. These efforts have created harmonious school cultures, developing students’ character in appreciating diversity and strengthening relationships between schools and the surrounding community. Despite challenges, such as initial resistance from some teachers and parents, the principals successfully addressed these issues through open dialogue and persuasive approaches. The findings underscore the importance of transformational leadership in creating inclusive educational settings and promoting religious moderation to maintain harmony in diverse societies. This study contributes practical insights for developing education policies grounded in moderation and equality.
