Abstract

Human error is an insistety action that can reduce the effectiveness, safety, and performance of a system. Human error can be caused by unsafe acts that are the type of errors committed by the subject of the perpetrator due to errors or violations of procedures. This study aims to identify human error in driving based on the type of deviation that is often done by the driver and analyze the influence of age and gender on traffic irregularities. Data collection using Driver Behavior Questionaire (DBQ). There were 325 respondents who filled out the questionnaire, 72.31% of male and 27.69% of female respondents with an age range between 18 to 65 years. The questions in the questionnaire were compiled based on the group of deviations made by the driver, there are four types of wrong habits in driving, namely errors, lapse, violations, violation, and aggresive violations. Lapse is an error that frequent committed by the driver. The adolescent group committed higher offences than the adult and middle age groups for all types of traffic irregularities. The male were significantly more likely to commit violation (a=0.00) and aggresive violations (a=0.014) than female. Both types of violations conscious committed by the driver to achieve a specific goal.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to explain some of the strategic considerations issued by the government for the transportation and logistics sector related to the pandemic situation. Some of the problems in dealing with the Covid-19 pandemic  are : (1)There were still significant extension  of Covid-19 cases; (2) lack of community discipline in following health protocols; (3) The increase in people's travel from the capital to the regions, even though several transportation operators have imposed some restrictions; and (4) The policies that have been issued by the government related to actions in the field do not yet have an operational design. This research is a literature study from several sources and by comparing several previous pandemic studies. From the findings, it can be concluded that the application of management and protocols for users, such as demand management (reducing crowds, reducing congestion), and the safety and health risks of online motorcycle taxis and safety for all road users is very necessary. Hygienic Logistics is also needed because it is related to the management of the flow of hygienic goods, procurement, material storage and distribution of goods to the point of destination which has an impact on mutually healthy patterns and principles. In the face of this Covid-19 pandemic, the issuance of government regulations, to ensure that people follow the regulations, is very necessary. The public must also follow the WHO health protocol to stop the spread of Covid-19, especially in the transportation and logistics industry.

Abstract

Warehouse of Company X has two production supply destinations, TFD 315 and TFD 500. One of the supply destinations has a high workload for the forklift driver. It happened because of the long distance when doing material handling. Warehouse’s layout of company X is not optimal that causing huge material handling costs. So, relayout of the facilities is done in order to reduce material handling costs by shortening the distance between facilities based on the relationship of material handling activities.  The stages of this research are data collection, calculating distance and material handling costs for the initial facility layout, making the activity relationship chart (ARC) between facilities, planning the new facility layout, then calculating the distance and cost of material handling of the new layout, and the last is comparing the initial and the new material handling costs. The results of this research is that after doing relayout of warehouse facility layout, material handling costs are reduced by 21.07% from the initial cost.

Abstract

This research aimed to analyze the capacity of domestic passenger terminal in Adi Soemarmo Boyolali International Airport. The data were collected from observation, documents, and literature review and analyzed using the formula in the Regulation of the Minister of Transportation of the Republic of Indonesia No. PM 178 of 2015 on Service Standards for Airport Service User. The capacity of the terminal in this airport was used as an initial forecast of the needs for facility development, including area per during peak hour passenger and Initial Indication of Development, Utilization, Expansion, and Operation (abbreviated as IAP4 in Indonesian). Based on the calculation, the IAP4 value of the terminal was 0.32, indicating the capacity was sufficient. In 2019, as there were 1,565,093 passengers departing domestically from this terminal, the peak hour passenger coefficient was 0.050. Based on these findings, the existing capacity of the domestic terminal was sufficient to accommodate up to 2,925,600 passengers. Therefore, the terminal’s level of occupancy was 53.49% in 2019. It is necessary to carry out this research regularly, particularly when there is an increase in the number of passengers to evaluate whether the airport is still able to accommodate all passengers’ movements.

Abstract

Solobalapan-Yogyakarta railway track serve up to 100 trains each day that get near to maximum lane capacity on one section of that line. Evaluation consisted of reliability, availability, maintainability and safety criteria. Ministry of Transportation issued Rencana Induk Perkeretaapian Nasional (RIPNas) 2030, so existing track’s conditions need to be estimated in 2030. On the evaluation, reliability rated by accuracy of travel duration, arrival and departure time. On availability rated by lane capacity using Scott method, and conformity of its lane carrying capacity. On maintainability and safety rated by Track Quality Index (TQI). Then, predicted number of trains pass and planned scenario analysis for 2030. Based on reliability criteria, 97% included on tolerance travel duration, but delays on arrivals and departures more than 40%. Based on availability criteria, lane capacity sufficient up to 515 trains per day, and lane carrying capacity reaches 18,171,648 tons per year. Maintenance and safety criteria based on TQI on the upstream lane of 75% is on very good condition and 61% on downstream lane is in good condition. Based on RIPNas in 2030 there will be 289 trains pass everyday, so the existing railway track is not capable to serve properly and the scenarios are increase the maximum speed to 120 km/hour and add eight block.

Abstract

Climate Change is one of the negative impact of globalization which currently challenges  the world community. Climate change is also an important issue in the global aviation sector. However, the growth of  CO2 and Greenhouse Gas emissions from the global aviation sector continues to increase in line with the demand for aviation services. This paper aims to describe the growth of global aviation industry which has an impact on the  increasing of carbon emissions (CO2) trend globally and the mitigation efforts to anticipate weather worsening in the future.  The result shows that the growth of Passenger Kilometer Revenue (RPK) on international flights since 2010 has continued to increase significantly. In general, the global aviation industry (including domestic and international; both passenger and cargo) is estimated to contribute to climate change through 1.9% greenhouse gas emissions (which includes all greenhouse gases) and 2.5% CO2 emissions, and 3. 5% of “Effective Radiative Forcing' (ERF).The reduction of CO2 emissions from the aviation sector includes: 1) improvement of technological efficiency; 2) increased operational efficiency, 3) Use of alternative fuels ,4) change the travel behaviour, etc. Moreover, the mitigation strategies to reduce the impact of AIC (Aircraft-Induced Clouds) in the short term and at low cost can be carried out by operational changes to the aircraft trajectory and adaptation of jet engine fuel.
