Abstract

This study aims to improve expressive language skills in early childhood through the traditional game ublek at RA Darul Maza. Language ability is a crucial aspect of early childhood development, influencing social interaction, emotional regulation, and the development of empathy. The research method used is Classroom Action Research (CAR) based on the Kemmis and McTaggart model, conducted in two cycles. Each cycle consists of the stages of planning, action, observation, and reflection. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results showed that consistent and structured implementation of the ublek traditional game can enhance children's expressive language abilities, such as describing textures, expressing feelings, fostering independence, and improving interaction skills. In addition, the activity also supports the development of children's fine motor skills. This study concludes that the traditional game ublek can be an effective strategy to improve expressive language development in early childhood educational settings.

The type of research conducted is Classroom Action Research (CAR). With the research subjects were 11 children aged 4-5 years at KB Plus Al-Furqon Ciomas Bogor. This study uses the Kemmis and Mc Taggart action model, the study was carried out in two cycles. The results of the study showed a significant increase in children's early science skills. This can be seen from the increase in the initial conditions of the cycle, namely from 16% to 50%, from cycle I to cycle II there was an increase in early science skills by 34%, namely from 50% to 84%. Children's early science skills before the action was carried out using loose part media, namely 9 out of 11 children had not yet shown their initial science skills. The increase in children's early science skills after the classroom action using loose part media was very large, this can be seen from the increasing percentage value, getting better and more satisfying.

Abstract

The Use of Hearing Aids on the Communication Skills of Deaf Children at Sinar Indonesia Elementary School. Thesis. Bekasi: Universitas Panca Sakti Bekasi. 2025. This study aims to investigate the effect of using hearing aids on the communication skills of deaf children at Sinar Indonesia Elementary School. The research employed a qualitative method with a case study approach. The research subjects included a deaf child with special needs who uses hearing aids, the classroom teacher, and the school environment as supporting factors. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The findings indicate that consistent use of hearing aids provides significant positive effects. First, the child showed increased awareness of sounds, such as responding to the teacher’s call or the school bell. Second, the ability to understand simple instructions and conversations improved, which enhanced participation in group activities. Third, there was a noticeable increase in self-confidence and social skills, as seen in the child’s courage to greet, answer questions, initiate short conversations, and engage in group play. Fourth, supporting factors contributing to this success include consistent use of hearing aids, family support in ensuring optimal function, an inclusive school environment, and flexible teaching approaches by the teacher. In conclusion, this study confirms that hearing aids play a major role in enhancing the communication abilities of deaf children. However, their effectiveness is strongly influenced by the support of families, teachers, and the school environment. Therefore, collaboration among all parties is essential to optimize the communication and social development of deaf children.

Abstract

Christian education is not only about imparting academic knowledge but also about forming character that reflects Christ. This article emphasizes that Christian curriculum for character building must stand on three pillars: (1) educators must be believers with a growing Christian life, (2) the curriculum should focus on developing students’ Christian character alongside academic excellence, and (3) schools must intentionally create a Christian environment that reflects biblical values. By combining theological reflection with practical educational insights, this study highlights the vital role of teachers as role models, the integration of biblical truth into learning, and the importance of school culture in shaping students’ faith. The results suggest that effective Christian curriculum leads to holistic development—equipping students academically, spiritually, and morally to live faithfully in a complex world.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the influence of parenting styles on early childhood independence and the extent of this influence. The research method used in this study is quantitative research with a survey approach. The population of this study was 110 parents of students at SPS Al Firdaus and other institutions around Sawit Village, Darangdan District. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling, resulting in a sample size of 25 people. Data collection used a questionnaire distributed via a Google Form link. The questionnaire used to determine the influence of parenting styles on early childhood independence was a closed-ended questionnaire. The data analysis used in the hypothesis testing was simple linear analysis. The results of the study show that: (1) There is an influence of the parenting pattern variable (X) on the independence of early childhood children (Y) with a Sig. value of 0.000 < 0.05. (2) The positive constant value obtained of 133.925 indicates that parenting patterns (X) have a positive effect on early childhood independence (Y) and the magnitude of the influence of the parenting pattern variable (X) on the early childhood independence variable (Y) is 9.8%, while the remaining 90.2% is influenced by other factors.

Abstract

Self-confidence is a fundamental aspect of early childhood personality development, influencing children’s readiness for social interaction, learning, and independent task completion. UNICEF (2022) highlights that children with higher self-confidence are more adaptive to challenges, more sociable, and better prepared for formal education. In Indonesia, strengthening character and personality has been emphasized in the Merdeka Curriculum and Early Childhood Education (PAUD) programs, including at the kindergarten level. Nevertheless, data from the Ministry of Education and Culture (2021) indicate that over 40% of children aged 4–6 still demonstrate low self-confidence, particularly in remote island regions with limited resources. This study applied Classroom Action Research (CAR) in TK B SPS Negeri Bale, aiming to enhance self-confidence through the implementation of Reward Asyik during Sabira Island play activities. The results revealed significant improvement across two cycles, where in Cycle I only 15–30% of children reached the Developing Very Well (BSB) category and the Undeveloped (BB) category remained high at 25–10%, while in Cycle II the proportion of children in the BSB category increased to 20–40% and the BB category dropped sharply to 5%. These findings suggest that well-designed and enjoyable rewards can effectively foster self-confidence, encouraging children to actively participate, take initiative, and engage more confidently in learning activities.

Abstract

Children’s independence is a crucial aspect in supporting successful learning, yet many early childhood students still show a high level of dependence on others in carrying out daily activities. This study aims to examine the effect of the experiential learning method on children’s independence at TK Sekolah Alam Bekasi. Experiential learning emphasizes direct involvement through concrete experiences, reflection, conceptualization, and active experimentation, which are expected to enhance independence. This research employed a quantitative associative approach by distributing questionnaires to 45 respondents, and the data were analyzed using simple linear regression. The findings revealed a significant effect of experiential learning on children’s independence, with a significance value of 0.001 and an R² of 0.456, indicating that this method contributes 45.6% to the development of independence, while the remaining 54.4% is influenced by other factors. In conclusion, experiential learning is proven effective in fostering independence by improving self-confidence, responsibility, and decision-making skills.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the influence of parenting patterns and how much influence it has on verbal linguistic intelligence in early childhood at KB Islam Al-Firdaus. The method used is quantitative with an associative approach. Data collection techniques were carried out through questionnaires with a total of 35 parents of students as respondents, all items were declared valid and reliable with Cronbach's Alpha greater than 0.6. The results of the analysis showed a coefficient of determination (R²) of 0.742, which means that parenting patterns contribute 74.2% to verbal linguistic intelligence, the remaining 25.8% is influenced by other factors not included in this study. The t-test produced t-count = 9.737 with a significance of 0.000
