Abstract

Mitoni masih eksis di masyarakat Jawa dan mengandung pesan luhur bagi pendukungnya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kearifan lokal dalam budaya Jawa mitoni ‘selamatan tujuh bulan wanita hamil’ di Kota Surakarta secara etnolinguistik. Data penelitian meliputi data verbal (istilah, ungkapan, unit lingual yang lain) dan nonverbal (simbol, lambang, sesaji). Sumber data meliputi primer dan skunder. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik wawancara mendalam dan observasi berpartisipasi menurut ketentuan metode etnografi. Validitas data dijaga dengan teknik triangulasi (metode, teori, peneliti, data). Teknik analisis data dimulai dengan langkah-langkah yaitu reduksi data, sajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian disajikan dalam bentuk teks naratif, meliputi kearifan lokal wanita Jawa di Kota Surakarta, meliputi (1) kearifan religius (religious wisdom), (2) kearifan kultural (cultural wisdom), (3) kearifan ekspresif (expresive wisdom).

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan tujuan untuk mengetahui nilai-nilai yang terkandung dalam tradisi upacara sekaten di ygyakarta. Upacara Sekaten dilaksanakan dalam dua masa, yakni pada masa kerajaan Majapahit dan masa kerajaan Demak. Upacara Sekaten pada masa kerajaan Majapahit dilaksanakan dalam bentuk sesaji yang ditujukkan kepada para arwah leluhur, sedangkan upacara Sekaten yang dilaksanakan pada masa kerajaan Demak berbentuk diselenggarakannya pagelaran wayang serta penabuhan gamelan dan bertujuan untuk memperingati Maulid Nabi Muhammad SAW dan menyebarkan agama Islam. Sekaten berasal dari nama sepasang gamelan milik Keraton Yogyakarta yang dimainkan setiap perayaan maulid Nabi Muhammad SAW, yang bernama Sekati. Ada juga yang mengartikan bahwa Sekaten berasal dari kata Syahadattain atau dua kalimat syahadat. Sumber lain mengungkapkan bahwa Sekaten bermula dari kata sekati yang merupakan kependekan dari kata sesek ati, yang menggambarkan perasaan Prabu Brawijaya V yang tengah dilanda kesedihan. Upacara Sekaten di Yogyakarta dilakukan dalam empat prosesi, yaitu miyos gangsa, numplak wajik, kondur gangsa, garebeg, dan bedhol songsong. Data penelitian ini merupakan data non verbal atau berupa tulisan. Data dalam penelitian ini kemudian dikumpulkan menggunakan teknik catat. Setelah dikumpulkan, data kemudian dianalisis dengan metode analisis deskriptif-kualitatif.

Abstract

Penelitian ini mengkaji memayu hayuning bawana dalam lakon Canus Dakwa karya Ki Ditya Aditya. lakon Canus dakwa yang berisi nilai-nilai kesucian dan kejujuran dipergunakan sebagai sarana memayu hayuning bawana (kebahagiaan, kesejahteraan, dan keselamatan dunia). Analisi pada tokoh penokohan dan rangkaian peristiwa pada adegan serta nilai-nilai budaya yang terdapat dalam lakon. Data penelitian berupa video yang diunggah di chanel youtube Budaya Maju.  Metode deskriptif kualitatif, pendekatan objektif, kerangka konseptual teoritis tentang etika Jawa dari Franz Magnis Suseno, dan kerangka konseptual teoritis tentang Memayu Hayuning Bawana dari De Jong digunakan dalam peneitia ini. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa kesucian dan kejujuran merupakan citra dari tokoh Canus; kesucian dan kejujuran sebagai manifestasi dari kekuasaan; golok cabang, kopyah wareng, dan kendil wesi sebagai manifestasi dari keagungan keraton; dan Canus sebagai manifestasi dari wahyu Sumber Rezeki. Kesucian dan kejujuran  beserta prasarana beserta dan ekspresi simboliknya dipergunakan sebagai sarana untuk memayu hayuning bawana. Hasil penelitian ini untuk memberikan kontribusi keilmuan sastra dan budaya Jawa.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui unsur pembangun dalam dalam novel Aji Saka Karya P. Mulya Hadipura serta mengetahui kecerdasan interpersonal tokoh Aji Saka. Metode penelitian kualitatif deskriptif dengan menggunakan pendekatan sastra. Landasan teori yang di gunakan meliputi pengertian novel, jenis-jenis novel, struktur pembangun novel. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa terdapat unsur pembangun dalam novel Aji dan kecerdasan interpersonal meliputi mampu berempati dengan orang lain dan mendalami orang lain, mampu membangun kedekatan dan sanggup menampilkan tampilan fisik yang sesuai bersama tuntutan lingkungan sosial. Hasil penelitian diharapkan mampu memeberikan sumbanagn dan kontribusi untuk keilmuan karya sastra Jawa.

Abstract

Penelitian ini merupakan jenis penelitian kualitatif, yaitu jenis penelitian yang menghasilkan data-data tertulis atau lisan. Analisis yang dilakukan dengan menganalisis resepsi masyarakat terhadap cerita rakyat Bumi Angker yang terdapat di Desa Pengkol, Kecamatan Jatiroto, Kabupaten Wonogiri. Tujuan dalam penelitian ini untuk mengetahui bentuk cerita rakyat Bumi Angker, mengetahui sejarah, resepsi masyarakat terhadap cerita rakyat Bumi Angker serta mengetahui nilai pendidikan yang terdapat dalam cerita rakyat Bumi Angker yang terdapat di Desa Pengkol, Kecamatan Jatiroto, Kabupaten Wonogiri. Jenis penelitian ini deskriptif  kualitatif dengan sumber data dibagi menjadi dua, primer dan sekunder. Sumber data primer dari  informan, dan sekunder meliputi aktivitas warga, tempat/ petilasan Bumi Angker. Data berupa transkrip wawancara dan dokumentasi yang berisi informasi tentang bentuk, sejarah, dan resepsi masyarakat terhadap cerita rakyat Bumi Angker.. Hasil penelitian ini meliputi bentuk cerita rakyat yaitu berbentuk fisik dan berbentuk cerita, sejarah cerita rakyat Bumi Angker, resepsi masyarakat terhadap Desa Pengkol, terdiri dari larangan terhadap pejabat dan larangan ketika berada di dalam kawasan Bumi Angker, serta nilai pendidikan yang terkandung di dalam cerita rakyat Bumi Angker meliputi nilai religius, budi pekarti, sosial, dan estetika. Hasil penelitian sebagai kontribusi untuk pengembangan keilmuan kajian konservasi sastra dan budaya Jawa.

Abstract

The Belis tradition has been carried out by the people of Flores since hundreds of years ago. The belis tradition is part of the customary law of marriage in the cultural area of the Flores community. The term belis can be matched with the meaning of a dowry or an award given by a male family to a female family for proposing to a woman who will then enter into a male family clan or tribe. This study aims to reveal the formation of the female body in the Belis tradition of the Flores community. The research method uses descriptive qualitative method with content analysis techniques. The result is that the tradition of giving belis is maintained as a guarantor of human reproduction. The belis tradition which later became the great narrative of the Flores culture, made it a very strong cultural logocentrism. Belis tradition can be said as a reaction to the doctrine that women have reproductive tasks like machines. In conclusion, it can be said that this belis tradition is also the background of the Flores woman's body. The female body becomes a metaphor for mapping social life to reflect reality. In the end, it is increasingly recognized that perception of the body is more a sociocultural construct.

Abstract

This paper departs from the fact that capitalism has reached the stage of complete domination and hegemony. Art products, the art market, and creators are strongly influenced by the ups and downs of the market, the atmosphere and monetary stability, and market players such as auction houses, curators, collectors, collectors, art dealers, patronage, and the mass media. In such a position, it raises the question of how the position of the creator and his work in dealing with enthusiasts and observers of art, markets, and capitalism. Do the creators voluntarily submit and obey the choice to join the capitalist game, or do the creators have a strong bargaining position to maintain idealism and enthusiasm not to get caught up in the game of capital and political games. It is a document study, this article to answer the above questions. As a result, there are two perspectives: first, the perspective of artwork as a commodity that occurs in the current era, and the second is the artwork as an aesthetic object. In the perspective of art as a commodity, creators generally follow market tastes, assisted by patronage, collectors or collectors, and other elements such as curators and mass media. This capitalism employs a strategy called “frying fry.” The second perspective is the artwork as prestige and increasing social status. In this era, creators still have a good bargaining position because there are no market access constraints.

Abstract

This paper discusses the essential of power in the wayang play entitled Wahyu Purba Sejati by Ki Seno Nugroho. There are quite a number of wayang kulit purwa plays with the theme of revelation, such as: Wahyu Makutharama, Wahyu Purba Kayun, Wahyu Darma, Wahyu Pancadarma, and others. One of wayang kulit purwa play that is unique in the last decade is Wahyu Purba Sejati play, presented by Ki Seno Nugroho. The power in this play is divided into four, namely Cahyaningrat, Reksakaningrat, Yuwananingrat, and Wimbaningrat. How the essential of power is constructed in the play Wahyu Purba Sejati by Ki Seno Nugroho is the main problem in this research. Creswell's qualitative method and Benedict Anderson's theory of power are used to analyze this issue of power. The study resulted in the finding that the concept of power in the play Wahyu Purba Sejati essentially refers to the gift of God's supernatural power given to humans who like to do inner work in a quiet place in their orientation to create world peace. Power is knowledge that contains subtleties, achieved through athe process of implementing self-control which functions to maintain world harmony by eradicating chaos, injustice and unrighteousness, in order to create a safe, peaceful, prosperous life. This study concludes that power is cosmic and magical (supernatural) which is represented by the acquisition of revelation as a manifestation of the achievement of certain social strata (wahyu kraton, wahyu patih, wahyu wahdat, and wahyu induk). Power is not only a tool that has the potential to be destructive, but it can also potentially be a means to meddle hayuningbawana (seek world peace).

Abstract

This study aims to describe (1) compliance with the principle of politeness in language, and (2) violation of the principle of politeness in language in the serialized story Mikul Dhuwur Mendhem Jero by Tiyasti. This type of research is descriptive qualitative. The data source of this research is the serialized story of Mikul Dhuwur Mendhem Jero by Tiyasti. The data of this research are quotations that contain compliance with the principles of politeness in language and violations of the principles of politeness in the serialized story of Mikul Dhuwur Mendhem Jero by Tiyasti. Data collection techniques using library techniques and see notes. The research instrument is the researcher himself as the main instrument. Data analysis using content analysis techniques. The results of the study: The forms of compliance with the principles of politeness in language include: (a) 15 maxims of wisdom; (b) 4 maxims of generosity; (c) 11 maxims of praise; (d) 10 humility maxims; (e) 11 agreement maxims; and (f) 6 sympathy maxims. Forms of violation of language politeness include: (a) 2 maxims of wisdom; (b) 3 maxims of praise; (c) 1 humility maxim; (d) 3 maxims of agreement. In the serialized story Mikul Dhuwur Mendhem Jero by Tiyasti, there is no violation of the maxim of generosity and maxim of sympathy.

Abstract

Listening skills for some teachers are more on listening skills, not on listening as a process and mechanics so that skills in technological sophistication are needed as interesting learning media. Technology can be used to help students develop listening skills through information technology, one of which is "Tik-Tok" with various available pages. Each type of technology provides opportunities for students to explore their listening strategies and in some cases develop new strategies. This study uses a descriptive method using a qualitative approach. In this case, the researcher is not directly involved in the object of study but only as an observer of the object of study contained in the contents of the "TikTok" account. The note-taking technique is carried out to record and select the elements that are listened to from social media or information technology "Tik-Tok" in Procedure Text learning then written into data paper. The purpose of the research is that with tiktok media students can observe, listen to technology, besides that listening is not only tangible in writing but with the digital era through tiktok video media students will understand in more detail listening with technology. Development of better listening skills and exploiting old technology or new technology in various ways in order to meet the needs of students in responding to changes and developments in listening learning technology. The conclusion is that listening with technology media provides new insights and new knowledge in listening skills, students are more enthusiastic to understand in depth than listening using technology, students can get to know better and become familiar with technology.
