The purpose of this journal is to disseminate ideas and results of research conducted by universities, particularly Psychology Studies, Faculty of Social and Political Sciences at Mulawarman University, which can be applied in society. Abstract

This study was conducted to determine the relationship between optimism and academic resilience during the online learning period for students. The subjects in this study are the active students in the Faculty of Psychology at Satya Wacana Christian University, with a total sample of 275 students. The method used in this research is a quantitative method with a quota sampling technique. The measuring instrument for the optimism variable is the Life Orientation Test-Revised (LOT-R), and the academic resilience scale measuring instrument is the Academic Resilience Scale-30 (ARS-30). The data analysis technique in this research uses assumption test and correlation test. Data analysis in this study was carried out with the help of SPSS version 26 software. There is a significant relationship with a positive direction between optimism and academic resilience with a significance value of 0.012 (p<0.05) and a correlation value of r = 0.136 which was tested using the Product Moment Correlation technique from Spearman. This means that the higher the student's optimism, the higher the academic resilience of students and vice versa.  Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara optimisme dengan resiliensi akademik selama masa pembelajaran daring pada mahasiswa. Subjek dalam penelitian ini merupakan mahasiswa aktif Fakultas Psikologi Universitas Kristen Satya Wacana dengan jumlah sampel 275 mahasiswa. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode kuantitatif dengan teknik quota sampling. Alat ukur untuk variabel optimisme adalah Life Orientation Test-Revised (LOT-R) dan alat ukur skala resiliensi akademik yaitu Academic Resilience Scale-30 (ARS-30). Teknik analisis data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan uji asumsi dan uji korelasi. Analisis data dalam penelitian ini dilakukan dengan bantuan software SPSS versi 26.o. Terdapat hubungan yang signifikan dengan arah positif antara optimisme dengan resiliensi akademik dengan nilai signifikansi 0,012 (p<0,05) dan nilai korelasi r = 0,136 yang diuji menggunakan teknik Korelasi Product Moment dari Spearman. Hal ini berarti semakin tinggi optimisme mahasiswa, maka semakin tinggi pula resiliensi akademik pada mahasiswa dan sebaliknya.

Abstract

Youth violence in the family is still rampant. This phenomenon is detrimental in the long term to the personal development of adolescents, because of its impact on the emotional aspect. Meanwhile, authority figures in the family do not realize that certain treatments are classified as emotional abuse. This study uses a qualitative approach, with a descriptive study. The research participants were three teenagers, namely two girls and one boy. The three participants are domiciled in the Province of the Special Region of Yogyakarta and are currently experiencing violence from particularly family authority figures. The data collection process was carried out by semi-structured interviews and observations. The results of the study found that emotional abuse can occur in the form of physical, verbal, threats, coercion, and excessive demands. However, in essence, this treatment has implications for emotional aspects (fear and indications of anxiety), which then have an impact on cognitive and avoidance behavior. To overcome these emotional problems, participants perform coping mechanisms through useful activities, which including aspects of affiliation, organization, hobbies, and religious activities (prayer, dhikr, and reading the Qur'an). On the other hand, these coping broadens the participants' horizons in viewing violent events, so that a more positive perception is obtained. In the end, participants indicated the direction of development towards resilience. Kekerasan remaja dalam keluarga masih marak terjadi. Fenomena ini merugikan secara jangka panjang bagi perkembangan diri-pribadi remaja, karena dampaknya yang memengaruhi aspek emosional. Sementara itu, figur otoritas dalam keluarga, tidak menyadari bahwa perlakuan tertentu tergolong kekerasan emosional. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif, dengan studi deskriptif. Partisipan penelitian merupakan tiga remaja, yaitu dua remaja perempuan dan satu remaja laki-laki. Ketiga partisipan berdomisili di Provinsi Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta dan tengah mengalami kekerasan dari khususnya figur otoritas keluarga. Proses pengambilan data dilakukan dengan interview semi-terstruktur dan observasi. Hasil penelitian menemukan bahwa kekerasan emosional dapat terjadi dalam bentuk fisik, verbal, ancaman, pemaksaan kehendak, serta tuntutan yang berlebihan. Namun, pada intinya, perlakuan tersebut berimplikasi terhadap aspek emosi (ketakutan dan indikasi kecemasan), yang kemudian berdampak pada kognitif dan adanya perilaku menghindar. Untuk mengatasi masalah emosi tersebut, partisipan melakukan mekanisme koping melalui kegiatan bermanfaat, yang meliputi aspek afiliasi, organisasi, hobi, dan aktivitas religius (salat, berzikir, dan membaca Al-Qur’an). Di sisi lain, koping tersebut memperluas cakrawala partisipan dalam memandang peristiwa kekerasan, sehingga diperoleh persepsi yang lebih positif. Pada akhirnya, partisipan menunjukkan arah perkembangan menuju resiliensi.

Abstract

The aims of this study is determine whether psychological capital has an effect on work engagement in millennial generation employees at PT X. This study uses quantitative methods and parametric statistical analysis with simple linear regression techniques. A total of 100 millennial generation employees (male = 37; female = 63) at PT X were sampled in this study. Determination of the sample in this study using purposive sampling technique. The measuring instrument used in this research is the Utrecht Work Engagement Scale (UWES) and the Psychological Capital Questionnaire (PCQ). The results of the reliability of the UWES measuring instrument are 0,866 and for PCQ is 0,848 From the results of simple linear regression analysis, the value of p = 0.000 (p < 0.05). These results indicate that psychological capital has a positive and significant effect on work engagement. Companies need to increase work engagement through increasing psychological capital in employees.Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui apakah psychological capital berpengaruh terhadap work engagement pada karyawan generasi milenial di PT X. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dan analisis statistik parametris dengan teknik regresi linier sederhana. Penentuan sampel dalam penelitian ini menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Sebanyak 100 karyawan generasi milenial (Laki-laki = 37 ; perempuan = 63) di PT X menjadi sampel dalam penelitian ini. Alat ukur yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah Utrecht Work Engagement Scale (UWES) dan Psychological Capital Questionnaire (PCQ). Hasil reliabilitas alat ukur UWES adalah 0,866 dan untuk PCQ adalah 0,848 Dari hasil analisis regresi linier sederhana, diperoleh nilai p = 0.000 (p<0.05). Hasil ini menunjukan bahwa psychological capital berpengaruh secara positif dan signifikan terhadap work engagement. Perusahaan perlu meningkatkan work engagement karyawan melalui peningkatan psychological capital pada diri karyawan.

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the influence of affiliation and person organization fit on organizational commitment on members of non-profit organizations affected by Covid-19 pandemic. This study used a quantitative approach. Population in this study is membes of non-profit organization affected by Covid-19 pandemic. The sample in this study  is 104 selected used purposivee sample technique. Data collected method used are affiliation scale, person organization fit scale and organizational commitment scale. The collected data were analyzed using multiple linear analysis with result there is an influence between affiliation and person organization fit on the organizational commitment with an affective contribution value of 65.3%, F value of 98.123 > 3.09, and p value of 0.000 < 0.05. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh afiliasi dan person organization fit terhadap komitmen organisasi pada anggota organisasi nirlaba yang terdampak pamdemi covid-19. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif. Populasi dalam penelitian ini yaitu anggota organisasi nirlaba yang terdampak pandemi covid-19 dengan total sampel sebanyak 104 anggota yang dipilih menggunakan teknik purposive sample. Metode pengumpulan data menggunakan skala afiliasi, skala person organization fit dan skala komitmen organisasi. Data yang terkumpul dianalisis dengan analisa data menggunakan uji analisis linear berganda dengan hasil terdapat pengaruh antara afiliasi dan person organization fit terhadap komitmen organisasi anggota dengan sumbangan efektif sebesar 65.3%,  nilai F hitung  sebesar 98.123 > 3.09 dan nilai p sebesar  0.000 < 0.05.

Abstract

Every individual has experienced a workload, including soldiers, the role of social support from the family is needed in reducing stress at work. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between family support and work stress. The subjects in this study were 73 soldiers using accidental sampling. The collection method uses a family support and work stress scale which is analyzed using Pearson Product Moment. The results of the analysis showed that family support was not correlated with the work stress variable (r = 0.088), (p = 0.230). There is no correlation between family support and work stress.Setiap individu pernah mengalami beban kerja, tidak terkecuali pada prajurit maka peran dukungan sosial dari keluarga dibutuhkan dalam mengurangi stres pada kerja. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui hubungan antara dukungan keluarga dengan stres kerja. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah 73 prajurit menggunakan accidental sampling. Metode pengumpulan menggunakan skala dukungan keluarga dan stres kerja yang dianalisis menggunakan Pearson Product Moment. Hasil analisis menunjukan bahwa dukungan keluarga tidak berkorelasi terhadap variabel stres kerja yaitu  (r = 0.088) dan (p = 0.230). Tidak ada korelasi antara dukungan keluarga dengan stres kerja.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the relationship between the adversity quotient and the anxiety of final year students in dealing with the world of work at various universities in Indonesia. This research was conducted using a correlational quantitative method by involving final year students from various universities in Indonesia. The samples in this research were taken by means of non probability techniques, specifically with the type of accidental sampling. The data analysis method used is the Pearson product moment correlation method. The results showed that there was a significant negative relationship between Adversity Quotient and anxiety in dealing with the world of work with r value = -0.731 and significance = 0.000 (p<0.05).  Thus, it may be inferred that the higher adversity quotient level will be more likely to reduce the level of anxiety in dealing with the world of work. On the other hand, the lower level of adversity quotient will be more likely able to increase the level of anxiety in dealing with the world of work. Adversity quotient was managed to provide an effective contribution of 50.8% to anxiety in dealing with the world of work. Therefore, this research is expected to be a provision of knowledge to increase or form an adversity quotient in reducing anxiety in facing with the world of work. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara Adversity Quotient dan kecemasan menghadapi dunia kerja pada mahasiswa tingkat akhir dari berbagai perguruan tinggi di Indonesia. Partisipan dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 170 mahasiswa dari berbagai Perguruan tinggi di Indonesia dengan menggunakan teknik sampling accidental. Metode analisis data yang digunakan yaitu dengan metode korelasi Product Moment dari Pearson. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa adanya hubungan negatif yang signifikan antara Adversity Quotient dan kecemasan dalam menghadapi dunia kerja dengan nilai r = -0,731 dan signifikansi = 0,000 (p<0,05). Artinya semakin tinggi Adversity Quotient maka semakin rendah munculnya kecemasan dalam menghadapi dunia kerja, dan sebaliknya jika Adversity Quotient rendah maka kecemasan dalam menghadapi dunia kerja semakin tinggi. Dengan demikian, penelitian ini diharapkan menjadi bekal pengetahuan untuk meningkatkan atau membentuk adversity quotient dalam mengurangi kecemasan dalam menghadapi dunia kerja.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the relationship between Perceived Organizational Support (POS) and Job Satisfaction (Job Satisfaction). This study used a quantitative approach and used the Quota Sampling technique with 100 respondents. The data collection method uses a 16-item Perceived Organizational Support Survey and a 36-item Job Satisfaction Survey. The data analysis technique uses the Spearman Rank correlation test. The results show that the value of the sig. (1-tailed) = 0.000 (<0.05) and the value of r = 0.819 and the value of R Square (r2) = 0.874 which explains that the contribution of the Perceived Organizational Support (POS) variable to Job Satisfaction (Job Satisfaction) is 87.4%. The results of this study show a strong and significant positive relationship between Perceived Organizational Support (POS) and Job Satisfaction (Job Satisfaction). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara Perceived Organizational Support (POS) Dengan Kepuasan Kerja (Job Satisfaction). Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dan menggunakan teknik Quota Sampling dengan 100 responden. Metode pengumpulan data menggunakan Survey Perceived Organizational Support 16 item dan Job Satisfaction Survey 36 item. Teknik analisis data menggunakan uji korelasi Rank Spearman. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa nilai sig. (1-tailed) = 0.000 (<0.05) dan nilai r= 0.819 serta nilai R Square (r2) = 0.874 yang menjelaskan bahwa sumbangan variabel Perceived Organizational Support (POS) terhadap Kepuasan Kerja (Job Satisfaction) sebesar 87.4%. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan adanya hubungan positif yang kuat dan signifikan antara Perceived Organizational Support (POS) Dengan Kepuasan Kerja (Job Satisfaction).

Abstract

Social identity has big impact to attitude and behavior in daily life. How to measure the impact of social identity toward attitude and behavior is scarce issue that has been written. This study aims to test the validity of the social identity scale measuring instrument developed by Feitosa et al., (2012) and adapted by Fauzi & Rahmani (2018) and eventually adopted and adapted again by the writers. Validating this instrument was done by the process of the quantitative method This measuring instrument has 18 items that measure three dimensions, namely categorization, sense of belonging, and positive attitude. This study obtained 258 respondents. The test method used is confirmatory factor analysis (CFA) assisted by LISREL 8.70 software. The results showed that all items were declared valid and could be used in research that uses Indonesian people as subjects. Identitas sosial berpengaruh besar terhadap sikap dan perilaku individu dalam kehidupan sehar-hari. Bagaimana mengukur pengaruh identitas sosial terhadap sikap perilaku belum banyak ditulis oleh peneliti dalam bidang perilaku. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji validitas dari alat ukur social identity scale yang dikembangkan oleh Feitosa et al., (2012) dan diadaptasi oleh Fauzi & Rahmani (2018). Alat ukur ini memiliki 18 item yang mengukur tiga dimensi yaitu kategorisasi, rasa memiliki, dan sikap positif. Pada penelitian ini diperoleh 258 responden. Metode pengujian yang digunakan yaitu conformatory factor analysis (CFA) dengan dibantu oleh sofware LISREL 8.70. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa semua item dinyatakan valid dan dapat digunakan pada penelitian dengan populasi dan subyek masyarakat perkotaan Indonesia.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the self-efficacy of the first batch of students in the thesis preparation process and the factors that influence it. The subject of this qualitative research with a case study approach took the first 8 students of the 2018 batch of the Faculty of Economics and Social Affairs, Universitas Jenderal Achmad Yani Yogyakarta who were selected by purposive sampling. Data were collected using interview, observation, and documentation methods and were analyzed using interactive techniques. The self-efficacy of the first batch of students in the thesis writing process is illustrated by the courage to face difficulties, immediately rise from failure, survive in the face of obstacles, are ready to face challenges in the future, and are able to motivate themselves in every situation. Past experience is the main factor that affects the self-efficacy of first-generation students in writing a thesis.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui gambaran self efficacy mahasiswa angkatan pertama dalam proses penyusunan skripsi dan faktor yang mempengaruhinya. Subjek penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus ini mengambil 8 mahasiswa angkatan pertama tahun 2018 Fakultas Ekonomi dan Sosial Universitas Jenderal Achmad Yani Yogyakarta yang dipilih secara purposive sampling. Data dikumpulkan menggunakan metode wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi serta dianalisis dengan teknik interaktif. Self efficacy mahasiswa angkatan pertama dalam proses penyusunan skripsi digambarkan dengan adanya keberanian menghadapi kesulitan, segera bangkit dari kegagalan, bertahan menghadapi hambatan, siap menghadapi tantangan di masa depan, dan mampu memotivasi diri disetiap keadaan.  Pengalaman di masa lalu merupakan faktor utama yang mempengaruhi self efficacy mahasiswa angkatan pertama dalam menyusun skripsi. Penelitian ini dapat dijadikan sebagai bahan evaluasi tenaga pendidik terhadap perbaikan sistem akademik di suatu instansi pendidikan atau Program Studi yang masih baru khususnya pada program tugas akhir skripsi mahasiswa.

Abstract

There are a lot of impacts of bullying, one of the impact is communication apprehension, which had a long term effect on victims in socializing on vary situations. This study aimed to determine how social support related to overcome communication apprehension on bullying victims. This research used quantitative approach with subject that consist of 106 samples using the purposive sampling technique. Data collection method used is Personal Report of Communication Apprehension 24 Version (PRCA-24) and 2-Way Social Support Scale (2-Way SSS). Research data was analyzed with Kendall’s Tau test. The result showed that there is negative and significant correlation between social support and communication apprehension on bullying victims by the calculated of r value = -0.683 and p value = 0.000 < 0.0. In conclusion, there is correlation between social support and communication apprehension on bullying victims. This means that the higher the social support, the lower the communication anxiety, and vice versa.Salah satu dampak dari perundungan adalah adanya kecemasan komunikasi yang berefek jangka panjang pada korban dalam bersosialisasi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana dukungan social berhubungan dalam mengatasi kecemasan komunikasi pada korban perundungan. Penelitian kuantitatif ini menggunakan sampel penelitian sebanyak 106 sampel usia 12-18 tahun dengan teknik purposive sampling. Alat ukur yang digunakan dalam penelitian yaitu PRCA-24 dan 2-Way SSS dengan reliabilitas variabel bebas sebesar 0.949 dan variabel terikat sebesar 0.918. Teknik analisa data menggunakan uji korelasi Kendall’s Tau_b dengan nilai r hitung = -0.683 dan p = 0.000 < 0.05. Hasil perhitungan menunjukkan adanya hubungan negatif dukungan sosial dengan kecemasan komunikasi pada korban perundungan. Artinya semakin tinggi dukungan sosial, maka semakin rendah kecemasan komunikasi, begitu pun sebaliknya.
