Abstract

The rapid growth of short-video platforms has transformed how young adults engage with social and political information, potentially shaping their social behavior beyond formal political participation. This study examines the effects of exposure to social-political content and the intensity of TikTok use on students’ interpersonal competence. Using a quantitative explanatory design, data were collected from 103 undergraduate students at a private university in Bandung, Indonesia, through a structured questionnaire. Social-political content exposure, TikTok usage intensity, and interpersonal competence were measured using adapted and validated scales. Data were analyzed using multiple linear regression. The results indicate that exposure to social-political content on TikTok has a positive and statistically significant effect on students’ interpersonal competence, whereas TikTok usage intensity is negatively associated but not statistically significant. The regression model explains 31.7% of the variance in interpersonal competence, suggesting a moderate explanatory power. These findings highlight that the social impact of TikTok is driven more by the type of content consumed than by the frequency or duration of platform use. The study contributes to the literature by extending social learning and media effects perspectives to interpersonal outcomes, demonstrating that social-political content on short-video platforms can function as an informal learning resource that enhances communication and social interaction skills. In practice, the findings underscore the importance of promoting critical engagement with constructive digital content rather than focusing solely on limiting social media use. Future research is encouraged to adopt longitudinal designs and explore additional mediating factors to further understand the mechanisms linking digital content exposure and social behavior.

Abstract

The Indonesian coffee industry has developed rapidly and has become an integral part of modern lifestyle consumption. Starbucks Indonesia, as a market leader, relies heavily on effective human resource management to maintain service quality and competitive advantage. However, Starbucks Grand Indonesia Mall faces several challenges related to organizational culture, the effectiveness of job training, and employee motivation, particularly among employees aged 18–24 years. This study examines the effects of organizational culture and job training on employees’ work motivation and, in turn, their performance at Starbucks Grand Indonesia Mall. A quantitative research design was adopted, applying both descriptive and explanatory approaches. The study involved 49 employees, all of whom participated as respondents via a census (saturated sampling) method. Data were gathered using structured questionnaires measured on a Likert scale, supported by observations and interviews. Path analysis was utilized to evaluate the direct and indirect relationships among the research variables. The findings demonstrate that both organizational culture and job training exert a positive and statistically significant influence on employees’ work motivation, accounting for 54% of the observed variance. In addition, organizational culture, job training, and work motivation, both collectively and individually, have significant effects on employee performance, accounting for 67% of the total variation in performance outcomes. Among these predictors, job training emerges as the most influential determinant of employee performance. This study extends the existing human resource management literature by providing empirical evidence from Indonesia’s retail coffee service industry, with particular attention to the mediating role of work motivation. By empirically validating this relationship, the study provides a deeper understanding of how organizational practices translate into performance outcomes. The findings offer strategic implications for practitioners, particularly in designing integrated human resource frameworks that foster sustainable employee performance and strengthen long-term organizational competitiveness.

Abstract

Tempeh sales in Indonesia experienced significant fluctuations and decline from 2018 to 2024 driven by rising soybean prices and shifting youth preferences toward foreign cuisine. This trend negatively impacts MSME profitability and contradicts national food sovereignty missions known as Asta Cita. Consequently, this study aims to analyze market trends and the research landscape regarding tempeh derivatives and their marketing aspects. The study employed bibliometric analysis following PRISMA 2020 guidelines. Data were retrieved from Web of Science and Google Scholar databases resulting in a final dataset of 2,095 articles analyzed using VOSviewer software. The findings indicate that Indonesia is the leading contributor to scholarly output with IPB University as the dominant institution. Research themes are anchored on raw tempeh followed by tempeh chips and tempeh flour. SWOT Analysis is the most utilized marketing method with Price and Product Quality as the primary variables. The dominant market segments are plant-based meat followed by plant-based protein and healthy food. Geographically Malang alongside Semarang and Surabaya are identified as the primary productive regions. These insights provide an empirical foundation for MSMEs to develop product innovations targeting the plant-based meat and healthy food segments thereby supporting the green economy and national food sovereignty goals.

Abstract

The proliferation of social commerce has fundamentally reshaped consumer behavior, notably by amplifying the propensity for impulse buying on interaction-driven and entertainment-centric platforms such as TikTok Shop. This study examines the influence of Live Streaming Interactivity, Influencer Credibility, and Gamification features on consumer Impulse Buying within the TikTok Shop ecosystem in Indonesia. This study employs a quantitative, causal research design. Data were gathered via online surveys from 300 TikTok Shop users, selected through purposive sampling based on their prior engagement with live streaming and purchase history. Data analysis was executed using multiple linear regression via SPSS.  The empirical findings reveal that Live Streaming Interactivity, Influencer Credibility, and Gamification each have a positive, statistically significant partial effect on Impulse Buying. Notably, Influencer Credibility emerged as the most dominant predictor. Furthermore, the simultaneous analysis confirms that these three variables significantly drive impulse buying behavior, yielding an Adjusted R^2 value of 0.313. This indicates that the proposed model accounts for 31.3% of the variance in consumer impulsive purchasing. These results validate the Stimulus–Organism–Response (S-O-R) framework within the social commerce context, where social, trust-based, and emotional stimuli collectively elicit impulsive behavioral responses. This research offers strategic insights for e-commerce practitioners on optimizing integrated marketing strategies through enhanced live-streaming engagement, influencer synergy, and gamified experiences

Abstract

The expansion of digital financial services, particularly the Paylater feature on e-commerce platforms, has increased transaction flexibility among Generation Z students while also heightening short-term liquidity risks. Prior studies have largely focused on financial literacy and fintech usage from a behavioral perspective, with limited attention given to cash flow resilience as a direct indicator of individual financial stability. This study aims to examine the effects of financial literacy, Paylater preference, and cash flow management on the cash flow resilience of Generation Z students in the e-commerce era. A quantitative explanatory design was employed involving 300 respondents selected through purposive sampling. Data were analyzed using multiple linear regression. The findings indicate that financial literacy and cash flow management have a positive and significant effect on cash flow resilience, while Paylater preference has a negative and significant effect. Cash flow management emerges as the most dominant variable, and the three predictors jointly explain 42.7% of the variance in students’ cash flow resilience. These results highlight that students’ financial stability is multidimensional, shaped by the interaction between cognitive capacity, digital consumption behavior, and financial management discipline. This study contributes to the digital financial behavior literature by positioning cash flow resilience as an indicator of sustainable financial stability in the digital economy context.

Abstract

MSME’s hold a strategic role in national economic stability, even though the era of disruption has significantly changed the business landscape. The complexity of the global economy poses challenges to MSME sustainability, particularly in Dayeuhkolot District, where economic uncertainty and intense competition prevail. This study analyzes the influence of resilience and entrepreneurial mindset on business sustainability, both partially and simultaneously. The approach employs a quantitative method using multiple linear regression analysis. The sample size was 100 respondents, as per the Levene test. Data were collected through a questionnaire containing a number of statements with a 1-5 Likert scale. The analytical results show that the resilience and entrepreneurial mindset variables jointly account for 39.9% of the variation in business sustainability (R Square = 0.399; p < 0.05). Partially, resilience has a significantly positive effect (β = 0.334; p < 0.05), indicating that a high level of resilience increases sustainable growth capacity. Similarly, the entrepreneurial mindset has a significant positive effect (β = 0.134; p < 0.05), supporting long-term business adaptation. However, business sustainability remains a complex phenomenon influenced by external factors beyond the scope of this research model.

Abstract

Flexible working arrangements do not always have a positive impact on performance; they can also create performance pressure that affects job performance. This condition triggers stress, especially when the achievements at the start of the live streaming session are still far from the set targets. This study aims to measure the effects of work flexibility and job satisfaction on job performance among live streaming hosts at Agency X. It uses a total population sampling method, with a sample size equal to the population of 60 live streaming hosts. The research method uses a quantitative, correlational design. The results of the study indicate that work flexibility and job satisfaction simultaneously have a significant effect on job performance (F = 46.470; p < 0.001), with a coefficient of determination (R²) of 0.620 indicating that 62% of the variation in job performance can be explained by the two independent variables work flexibility and job satisfaction while the remaining 38% is influenced by other factors outside the scope of the variables under study. The analysis results partially show that work flexibility has a positive and significant effect on job performance (β = 0.570; t = 6.129; p < 0.001). This finding indicates that the greater an individual's perceived work flexibility, the higher their job performance. Conversely, job satisfaction exhibits a negative and significant influence on job performance (β = -0.881; t = -9.469; p < 0.001). These results indicate that higher job satisfaction is negatively correlated with job performance in this study. Given these significant effects, it follows that changes in the level of work flexibility or job satisfaction will be accompanied by changes in job performance.
