Abstract

Nursing supervision is important in improving the quality of service and hospital patient safety culture. This study analyzes the relationship between nursing supervision and implementing a safety culture at Dr. M. Haulussy Ambon Regional Hospital. Using a quantitative descriptive research design with a cross-sectional approach, this study involved 70 nurses selected through a total sampling method. Data were collected using a questionnaire and analyzed using the Chi-Square test. The results showed a significant relationship between nursing supervision and patient safety culture (p = 0.002). Nurses who received good supervision tended to comply more with patient safety procedures. This finding confirms that adequate nursing supervision can improve patient safety culture and reduce the risk of medical incidents in hospitals. Therefore, improving a more structured, technology-based supervision system is recommended to ensure optimal service quality. Abstract

The aim of this study is to determine the type and meaning contained in the PON 2024 Aceh-North Sumatra logo from the perspective of Charles Sanders Peirce's semiotics. A logo is a design element that functions as a visual representation of an entity, such as a company, organization, or product, consisting of a combination of symbols, images, and text designed with unique and distinctive visual elements. The method used is descriptive qualitative. This research will produce descriptive data in the form of written or spoken words from the image objects observed during the research. The results of the research on the PON 2024 Logo show that there are 3 icons, namely the Rencong shape, the Malay Songket Fabric shape, and the Batak Ulos Fabric shape. One index in the form of 5 torches, and one symbol in the form of 3 rings, which symbolizes the parent container of Indonesian sports achievements. The logo also has 5 colors that have meaning for each color (red, yellow, green, white, and black). The PON 2024 logo successfully represents the event by combining local cultural elements that are rich in meaning and symbols that reflect the spirit of sports. With the modern design and deep philosophy, the logo not only functions as a visual identity but also as a symbol of the unity and mutual cooperation of the Indonesian people to make this sporting event a success.

Abstract

This study examines the use of language styles in the Battleshipmovie based on Martin Joos' (1967) theory that classifies language styles into five categories: frozen, formal, casual , consultative, and intimate. This study aims to identify the types of language styles in the movie dialogue and understand their functions in supporting social relationships between characters and storyline development. The research uses a descriptive qualitative method with the data source in the form of Battleship movie dialog transcripts, which lasted 2 hours and 11 minutes. The data was collected through direct observation by watching the movie, recording the dialog, and classifying it based on the five categories of language style according to Martin Joos' theory. Analysis was conducted through tagging, coding, and interpreting the data to identify patterns, frequency, and linguistic characteristics in the dialogs. The findings show that of the 100 dialogues analyzed, casual language style dominates with a frequency of 50% of the total data. This language style reflects an intimate and relaxed atmosphere among the characters, relevant to friendly relationships and cooperation in the face of conflict. Formal style appears at 29%, consultative 12%, intimate 6%, and frozen only 3%. The dominance of casual style reflects the more informal context of communication in this movie, especially among friends and coworkers. The use of language styles in Battleship movie not only reflects the dynamics of social relationships between characters but also plays a role in building the atmosphere of the narrative and supporting the audience's understanding of the conflict in the story. This research contributes to linguistic studies, particularly in understanding stylistic variations in film media, as well as providing references for further research on stylistics in other media such as television series or video games.

Abstract

In the travel industry, word of mouth (WOM) plays an important role. Prospective tourists tend to seek information and recommendations from people close to them, such as family, friends, or colleagues, before deciding to travel (Litvin et al., 2008). This is because the tourism industry is an intangible sector, so WOM can help reduce the risk and uncertainty felt by prospective tourists (Jalilv and & Samiei, 2012). Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) is a statistical analysis technique used to build and test statistical models in the form of causal models (Anuraga, G. and Otok, B. W). From the development of the proposed model using the SEM method, the estimated strength of the relationship between various variables and significant indicators for success can be known. The model fit test in this report uses several criteria, including Chi Square, GFI, AGFI and RMSEA. Although the final model obtained a high Chi square value (149.247) with zero probability, but because several other criteria were met with GFI and AGFI values above 0.9 and RMSEA below 0.08, the model was considered suitable. The results of this study indicate that word of mouth plays an important role in the tourism industry. Word of mouth has a significant influence on tourist purchasing decisions and customer loyalty. This is because the tourism industry is an intangible sector, so word of mouth can help reduce the risk and uncertainty felt by prospective tourists.

Abstract

One of the provinces that also contributes to the number of HIV cases in Indonesia is South Kalimantan Province. Specifically in South Kalimantan Province, the number of HIV/AIDS cases recorded until 2022 is around 3,300 cases. Around 40 percent of them come from Banjarmasin City. This study aims to develop short videos as a health education media about HIV/AIDS. This study uses a Research and Development (RnD) research design. The data analysis technique used in this study is a quantitative descriptive analysis technique, namely by analyzing quantitative data obtained from the results of the documentary study scoring scale conducted by researchers to determine the percentage of media eligibility. The results of this study are in the form of 4 short videos with educational material containing the definition of HIV and AIDS, media and methods of transmission of HIV/AIDS, causes of HIV/AIDS and symptoms of HIV/AIDS. The average duration per video is approximately 60 seconds. The video was developed with expert assessment from the material and media aspects. The conclusion of the feasibility of developing health education media in the form of Short Video based on validation according to media experts obtained an average percentage of 95% with the category "very good" while the validation results according to material experts based on the learning aspect 95% were classified as "very good", material validation based on the content / material aspect 95.8% were classified as "very good" so that the short video that has been developed is declared feasible to be used as a health education media about HIV / AIDS.

Abstract

The corn commodity in Gorontalo Province has an important role in supporting food security and the regional economy, however its competitiveness in national and international markets still faces various challenges. This research aims to analyze the competitiveness of Gorontalo corn commodities through a literature review of markets and product diversification. The competitiveness of corn in Gorontalo is influenced by factors such as conditions of production factors, global price fluctuations, access to modern technology and agricultural infrastructure. Even though it has great potential, most Gorontalo corn products are still sold in raw form, which reduces their added value. Product diversification, such as processing corn into flour, starch or bioethanol, can be a strategy to increase competitiveness. This research concludes that strengthening the competitiveness of Gorontalo corn requires synergy between the government, farmers and business actors, as well as the application of modern technology to increase productivity and production efficiency.

Abstract

Consumer protection in telemedicine services in Indonesia has become increasingly important due to the rapid advancement of technology. These services face risks related to data privacy, unclear consumer rights, and challenges in interactions with healthcare providers. This study aims to evaluate the implementation of consumer rights protection in telemedicine services in Indonesia and analyze the effectiveness of existing regulations in safeguarding these rights. Key issues faced by consumers, such as uncertainties in complaint mechanisms and privacy breaches, are the main focus of this research. The methodology employed is policy evaluation, which includes an analysis of relevant regulations such as the Ministry of Health Regulation No. 20 of 2019 and the Consumer Protection Law. Interviews with legal experts were also conducted to gain deeper insights, along with comparisons to telemedicine regulations in other countries. Findings indicate that despite the existence of regulations, field implementation often does not align with legal provisions. Limitations in supervision and gaps between regulations and on-the-ground practices have resulted in consumer rights violations, particularly concerning data security and complaint mechanisms. Recommendations for improving consumer literacy, strengthening regulations, and establishing stricter monitoring mechanisms are proposed to enhance consumer protection in telemedicine services.
