Abstract

The National Health Insurance (JKN) program has increased the volume and revenue of inpatient general surgery procedures. However, Jakarta Hospital experienced a profit decline in 2023 due to low Indonesian Case-Based Group (INACBG) tariffs and cost inefficiencies. This study aims to analyze the cost efficiency of JKN-covered inpatient general surgeries as a basis for hospital development strategies. A descriptive-analytic method was applied, using activity-based costing to calculate procedure costs. Cost efficiency was assessed by comparing actual costs to normative benchmarks from clinical pathways, and further analyzed using Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA). Results indicate that unit costs were inefficient compared to normative standards (efficiency score: 101.9%, average: IDR 3,488,115.59), driven by high expenditures on medical services, drugs, and disposable medical supplies. Total costs, including accommodation, were also inefficient (score: 108.1%, average: IDR 4,729,373.69), with accommodation accounting for 26.2%. DEA identified perianal abscess incision as the most efficient procedure, while hemorrhoidectomy, inguinal herniotomy, and breast tumor excision were relatively efficient. Overall, inpatient general surgery procedures remain cost-inefficient. Enhancing efficiency requires stricter clinical pathway adherence, optimized use of drugs and supplies, reduced length of stay, and revised physician payment models. Promoting efficient procedures is essential for hospital sustainability.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze and describe the implementation of Islamic marketing ethics in the management of franchise businesses operated by Generation Z, with a case study on Es Teh Indonesia business located on Jl. Sukawati, Bone Regency. The approach used is qualitative with field research methods. Primary and secondary data were obtained through in-depth interviews with owners and employees, direct observation of business activities, and analysis of internal documents. Data validity was strengthened through source and method triangulation techniques. The research results show that Es Teh Indonesia business has implemented Islamic marketing ethics in a real and structured manner. The principle of Tauhid (Unity) is manifested through the use of halal raw materials, price transparency, avoidance of riba (usury), and awareness of paying zakat. The principle of Honesty is evident in information transparency, acknowledgment of mistakes, and prompt and appropriate handling of customer complaints. The principle of Acting Fairly is reflected in equal treatment of customers and employees, consistent pricing, and stakeholder involvement in decision-making. The principle of Serving with Humility is reflected in the friendly, polite, and solution-oriented attitude of employees in providing services. The implementation of these four principles of Islamic marketing ethics is not applied partially, but is functionally integrated in all aspects of franchise business management, including planning, organizing, actuating, and controlling. This integration contributes to the formation of a positive image, increased customer trust, and business sustainability amid competitive market competition.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze and optimize the management of component procurement delays in a manufacturing company, using the Root Cause Analysis (RCA) approach. The research was conducted on procurement delay data for the period March to July 2024, which recorded 226 cases, of which 167 cases were further analyzed based on the six main sub-components that had the highest delay rates. The Fishbone Diagram and 5 Why's methods, as part of the RCA, were used to identify the root causes of the delays, including lack of internal coordination, unintegrated information systems, and the characteristics of suppliers who are not ready to stock (make-to-order). The results of the analysis show that improvement strategies can focus on developing risk-based procurement SOPs, periodically evaluating supplier performance, and developing an integrated information system. Implementation of these proposals is believed to significantly reduce the frequency of delays and improve procurement efficiency. The findings are expected to be a reference in improving supply chain management in manufacturing companies with similar characteristics

Abstract

Electricity constitutes a fundamental and indispensable resource within higher education institutions, as a substantial majority of both academic and administrative operations are profoundly dependent on electrical energy. Given the persistent escalation in electricity tariffs and the increasing proliferation of electrical devices, there exists a pressing necessity for technological innovations that facilitate energy conservation and enhanced efficiency. This research endeavor seeks to devise and implement a system that fosters optimal electricity utilization by amalgamating RFID-based technology with an automated attendance detection framework. The system functions autonomously by documenting attendance through the identification embedded in the national e-KTP chip, which concurrently unlocks the classroom door and activates electrical devices such as illumination, air conditioning units, and projectors. The findings of the research demonstrate a 100% efficacy in device functionality and an approximate annual electricity conservation of IDR 3,000,000 per room. This system represents a promising technological advancement for improving energy efficiency while simultaneously contributing to the digital metamorphosis of academic services within universities

Abstract

Along with the rapid development of the era, manufacturing companies are facing more challenges and demands to increase efficiency in the production process. Regular maintenance of production facilities is a major factor in supporting company productivity. One of the important equipment in supporting large-scale manufacturing is the use of heavy equipment, such as hoist cranes, to facilitate the process of lifting and moving materials. However, one of the problems that often occurs is damage to important components, such as wire ropes, which can hamper operations and cause significant downtime. This study aims to analyze the causes of wire rope damage to a 5-ton hoist crane in a manufacturing company. Through the Total Productive Maintenance approach carried out using the Fishbone Diagram and 5W + 1H methods, the root cause of the damage that occurs can be identified. This study found that wire rope damage was caused by several factors, namely there were gaps in the eroded panel walls, frequent friction between the wire rope and the panel wall, no safety when the wire rope was piled up, and there were no clear work instructions for operating the hoist crane. The results of the improvement implementation showed significant improvements. The downtime of the hoist crane unit was successfully reduced from 596 hours 50 minutes in February 2023 to only 12 hours 55 minutes in March 2023, and further to only 2 hours 30 minutes in April 2023. In addition, the improvements also succeeded in increasing the Physical Availability of the hoist crane, from 69.3% in February 2023 to 96.4% in March 2023, and 98.8% in April 2023

Abstract

The Infant and Young Child Feeding (IYCF) Training is a strategic effort to enhance the knowledge and attitudes of community health workers (posyandu cadres) in providing nutritional counseling. This study aims to analyze differences in the knowledge and attitudes of posyandu cadres who have and have not received IYCF training in East Lombok Regency. Using a descriptive-analytical method with a posttest-only control design, the study involved two groups: cadres who had participated in the training and a control group who had not. The results revealed a significant increase in knowledge among cadres who had undergone the training compared to the control group (p < 0.05). Furthermore, the IYCF training contributed to a more positive attitude among cadres in delivering nutritional counseling, although its effect on motivation was relatively low. This study highlights the importance of IYCF training as an effective intervention to improve the quality of nutritional services, which is expected to support the reduction of malnutrition and stunting prevalence in the region. These findings can serve as a reference for developing continuous training programs for health workers in other areas.

Abstract

Parents of critically ill infants admitted to the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) often experience emotional stress and anxiety due to hospitalization. This study aims to examine the relationship between educational level and parental anxiety in the NICU at RSPAD Gatot Soebroto. This research used a quantitative method with a cross-sectional design and a correlational approach. The sample consisted of 20 parents, selected using total sampling over one month. The instrument used was the Zung Self-Rating Anxiety Scale (ZSAS) questionnaire. Data were analyzed using the Spearman Rank test. Results showed that most respondents were aged 26–35 years (50%), female (60%), had a secondary education level (45%), and earned ≥ the regional minimum wage (60%). The majority experienced mild anxiety (70%). Statistical analysis yielded a significance value of 0.308 (p ≥ 0.05), indicating no significant relationship between educational level and parental anxiety in the NICU. Therefore, it is recommended that hospital policies and psychosocial support programs be designed to reach all parents regardless of educational background. Healthcare providers are also encouraged to apply a holistic approach that considers other factors such as social support, emotional condition, and parents’ personal experiences

Abstract

This research aims to determine the level of effectiveness of quicklime content treatment using the dissolved and sprinkled method, in the treatment of acid mine drainage at PT Unirich Mega Persada. The research method used is a case study with quantitative experimental research, where the sample consists of lime content of 0.1 gram, - 1 gram. There are also samples of 21 liters of acid mine water, 10 liters of water for the dissolved method, 10 liters of water for the sprinkled method and 1 liter of water to determine the pH of acid mine water without quicklime treatment. So the results of this research obtained a pH value of 6-10.5 with a lime content of0.1 gram/liter -1 gram/liter, with a lime requirement of 25.5 kg/m3 for the dissolved method, there is also a pH value of 5-9.6 with a lime content of 0.1 gram/liter -1 gram/liter, with a lime requirement of 76.5 kg/m3 for the sprinkled method. From the results of the pH values of the 2 methods of using lime to neutralize acid mine water, both can actually increase the pH. However, with the same lime content, we found a more effective pH value with a low lime content of 0.1 gram/liter, namely the pH 6 dissolution method.
