Abstract

Edamame soybean is highly nutritious and good for health. People started consuming soy a long time ago and it has high economic value. In crop cultivation, fertilizers are surely needed as plant nutrition. The difficulty in getting fertilizers can be solved by using agricultural wastes that are around us to be used as fertilizer solutions for plants. One way to increase soybean production is by utilizing liquid organic fertilizer (LOF). LOF can be used to increase soybean production. This organic fertilizer is a solution to replace the function of legumes in nutrient intake. The study used a completely randomized design (CRD) with 3 treatments; 1) LOF A (cow urine, sludge, husk ash, water, banana bunch, microbes); 2) LOF B (cow urine, sludge, husk ash, water); 3) LOF market and repeated 6 times. This study aims to obtain detailed information on the growth and increased in soybeans production by utilizing liquid organic fertilizer. Plants are sprayed evenly on the surface of the leaves every 1 week. The research was carried out in the Jakenan Experimental Garden Greenhouse from July - September 2020. The plant is used as edamame beans. The basic fertilizer used organic cow manure as much as 5 tons ha-1 which its application is used to cover soybean seeds when planting. The results showed that the use of liquid organic fertilizer enriched with microbes increased plant height, pod number, stover weight, and pod weight. Liquid organic fertilizer is one of the fertilization solutions for soybeans/beans.

Abstract

This study uses a spatial analysis of geographic information systems to determine the strategic level of a residential area and office business. The spatial analysis used in this research is travel time range analysis based on road network data. Spatial analysis in the form of distance range and travel time were processed using an overlay technique using ArcGIS software. The problem in this research is how the strategic level of residential and business areas in the city of Semarang based on the analysis of the travel time range of public facilities and based on the potential disasters in the city of Semarang. Meanwhile, the aims and objectives of this study are to determine how strategic a residential area (housing) and an office area are based on the range of travel time and the potential for disaster vulnerability using spatial analysis. Based on the calculation results of this study, the highest score is 15 (quite strategic) and the lowest score is 11 (less strategic). The score calculation is based on the number of each weight of the travel time range to the closest public facilities, namely the travel time range to toll gates, train stations, shopping centers, closest health facilities, closest educational facilities, accessibility, surface temperature, and potential risks flood. The strategic level of an area can be determined based on the range of travel time that has taken into account the congestion estimate. Accessibility is one of the most determining factors in determining distance and travel time. The higher the weight score of a place, the more strategic value the place will be.

Abstract

After the fall of the New Order regime in 1998, Indonesia changed from a centralized government system to decentralization. By the issuance of Grand Design of Bureaucratic Reform Year 2010-2025 in 2010, public sector innovation cannot be neglected due to the needs for new, innovative, adaptive, and entrepreneurial approaches to bureaucratic reform. Many innovations have been produced in local government to improve their performance. Surakarta City Government is recognized as an innovative city, produce innovative programs, often become examples of good practice in public sector innovation, and appointed as Innovation Laboratory in 2017. This study aims to describe public sector innovation in Surakarta City Government and what factors influencing it. The study was conducted using qualitative research methods with a case study approach and collecting data from interviews and document analysis. The findings of this study reveal that most of the public sector innovation in Surakarta City are ICT based innovation and provides benefits in improving the performance of local governments. Even though there is shifting leadership, the visionary leadership supported by upper-middle managers still plays a crucial role in encouraging innovation in local government, followed by supportive regulations from both central and local government, as well as participation and strong cooperation between sectors. Further, this study draws some recommendations to create an integrated policy to strengthened, evaluate, and maintain the sustainability of public sector innovation in the local government. The local government may provide opportunities to collaborate with NGOs to create public sector innovation.

Abstract

Chlorpyrifos is widely used by farmers as a contact poison to control leaf and fruit pests in red chilies. Chlorpyrifos is very toxic to the environment and to living things, although it is easily degraded and has a short half-life. Remediation materials in the form of activated charcoal, biochar, and microbial consortium are effective remediation technologies to reduce insecticide residues. Each compound has different characteristics based on the type and texture of the soil. This research aims to obtain the ability of remediation technology for Chlorpyrifos insecticide residues in red chili on light and heavy textured soils. The research was carried out in the screen house of the Indonesian Agricultural Environment Research Institute (IAERI) between May to November 2017. The results showed that the two soil textures had different characteristics of Chlorpyrifos residue remediation technology. The best technology to reduce Chlorpyrifos residue in light-textured soils is the 2 L/ha consortium microbial treatment, while for heavy-textured soils is biochar-coated urea.

Abstract

Bonita's approach to show a quality of a land can be quickly identified in well-managed plantations. Bonita as an assessor of land quality is a soil fertility class on a plantation forest area which is arranged with the parameters of height and age of the stand. If the land has not been managed or has just been planted, it will become a barrier to determine the quality class of the land. So we need the Land Suitability Class (KKL) as another approach besides bonita. The KKL Approach is an approach through direct measurement of environmental parameters. The results of the Land Resource Inventory (ISDL) data from each observation point are systematically processed and classified based on potential and inhibiting properties. This ISDL data analysis will produce KKL class for each observation point. Henceforth KKLs will be classified into 3 classes, namely: S1 (very suitable), S2 (appropriate), S3 (marginal appropriate). To further integrate the two approaches, it is necessary to synchronize the two approaches. The results of the synchronization between bonita and KKL are expected to be able to evaluate teak forest land under any circumstances, either in a state of unplanted land, land with young plants that cannot be evaluated bonitaly. The results of the synctonization are as follows: Bonita 4 – 5 (Very good for teak) = S1 (Very suitable for teak), Bonita 3.5 (Good for teak) = S2 (suitable for teak), The result showed that KKL can be used to assess / evaluate the fertility of teak forest land.
