Abstract

Rowosari Village is an area with fairly rapid business growth in Semarang City and has abundant banana production, so this is an opportunity to develop business in the banana-based processed food sector. The purpose of this study is to: 1) Analyze the level of business motivation and business ability 2) Analyze the level of business success 3) Analyze the effect of business motivation and business ability on business success. The research was conducted in August – September 2020 and located in 32 banana processing MSMEs who are members of the Mekarsari MSME group. Quantitative approach was used in this research. Determination of respondents using the saturated sampling method with the number of respondents as many as 32 banana processing MSMEs. Data collection methods were taken by conducting interviews, observation and documentation. Data analysis used descriptive analysis, multiple linear regression, business feasibility analysis and calculation of added value. The results showed that : 1) The level of business motivation and business ability is high. 2) The level of business success is high. 3) The variables of motivation and business ability have a significant effect on business success simultaneously and partially. Suggestions that can be applied in this study include 1) MSME actors can increase motivation in entrepreneurship by attending seminars and training in order to develop self-quality and improve marketing strategies 2) There is a need for assistance from the government or related agencies so that MSMEs are more highly competitive 3) There is a need for further research related to the factors that influence business success outside the variables that have been described in this study.

Abstract

The mobility of urban populations towards potential sectors is one form of economic activity turnover. However, this condition is currently disrupted due to Covid-19. This condition occurs almost all over the world, not least Indonesia. To suppress the rapid spread of the outbreak, several policies were issued in order to reduce the mobility of the high population. This article aims to find out the influence of the implementation of PPKM Phase II policy on Population Mobility in the retail and leisure sectors. This article uses a library study approach by processing google mobility report data, so that the correlation to variables tested is known. PPKM Central Java Phase II policy can affect the mobility of the population towards the retail and leisure sectors. The existence of this policy, indirectly limits the space of community activities in making movements.

Abstract

Throughout 2020 the world has been shocked by the emergence of a new virus that is infecting the world today, namely Coronaviruses (CoV). The virus has the scientific name SARS Cov 2. The COVID-19 pandemic has also had a considerable impact on investment, which makes people choose to be very careful in buying goods and even investing. The government also urges the public to implement social distancing, such as working from home, and worshiping from home. This study uses policy analysis theory to reveal government policies in dealing with the community's economy. The writing of this article is a library research with a qualitative method which is to explain something based on the data and numbers narrated in the sentence. The results of this study reveal various policies implemented by the government as an effort to suppress the spread of COVID-19, including preventive, promotive and social safety net policies. In addition, the government is also trying to ease the community's economy due to the COVID-19 pandemic with the establishment of the Family Hope Program, Non-Cash Food Assistance, Pre-Employment Cards, Electricity Subsidy Assistance. The government also budgets allocation funds and provides credit relief for informal sector workers and UMKM actors.

Abstract

This research aimed to analyze the affect of farmer ages, levels of education and farming experience toward the level of farmer knowledge about benefit and application method of Kartu Tani in Parakan District, Temanggung Regency. Population of this study were farmers who joined Farmer Group and had a Kartu Tani. Respondent of this study were 60 farmers from two villages. Location of this study were in Dangkel Village and Glapansari Village, Parakan District, Temanggung Regency. Research carried out in July 2021. The research method was survey. Method of collected data this study were with interview, observe, documentary and literature. Interview was based on questionnaire using likert scale. Method of analyze data was using quantitave descriptive analyze. The result of this research that farmer ages, level of education and farming experience significantly affected to the level of farmer knowledge about Kartu tani beneficial and method of use. Partially ages, level of education and farming experience had positive and significant affect to the level of farmer knowledge about Kartu tani beneficial and method of use (abstrak Bahasa Indonesia dan Bahasa inggris tidak sama, mohon disesuaikan).

Abstract

This study aims to test the current effectiveness of the application of Problem Based Learning model in Technique Informatics FIKOM Duta Bangsa University of Surakarta on numerical method lesson to improve learning outcomes students. This study using the quasi-experimental technique. Design in this research using posttes control group design with a group of non-equivalent. Population in this study were all students semester VI of engineering study program information FIKOM Duta Bangsa University of Surakarta. In this research data collection was carried out after treatment (posttest). Posttest analyzed data in descriptive with anova to knowing the difference between the experiment and the control group. The method used to normality Wilk Shapiro and the homogeneity variance with Lavene. The prerequisite met then one way Anova with 5% of standard signification. The results of the testing of hypotheses stating that there are differences between students who had learning outcomes by Project Based Learning than students taught by directly learning. As a result, PBL learning, particularly numerical approaches, should be used in lectures. PBL learning is the best, as evidenced by the tests that have been conducted.

Abstract

The purpose of the study was to analyze the quality control of starting from the procurement of raw materials, processing, packaging and storage of laying hens feed at the Laying Chicken Farm, Mijen District, Semarang City. The material in the research is various types of feed ingredients. The research method uses data collection (actively participating in work and interviewing 4 respondents/owners and employees) and data analysis (testing the content of feed products and analysis of cause and effect). The results showed that the quality control of Laying Chicken Farm raw materials was carried out by organoleptic observation by looking at the color suitability, and biting and smelling the aroma to determine the quality. Processing quality control is carried out by sanitizing processing equipment and premises before use. The processing is done manually, by mixing feed ingredients based on their quantity. Quality control of packaging is carried out using bucket containers. Quality control of feed storage is carried out by packing feed in buckets and partly in bulk form, with a maximum shelf life of 7 day. The results of analytical research using causal diagrams, it is known that quality control in Laying Chicken Farms is influenced by 4 main factors, namely raw material factors, tools factor, method factor and human factor. The conclusion of this research is that the quality control of the procurement of raw materials, processing, packaging and storage of feed in Laying Chicken Farms is still not optimal, because it does not apply the principle of quality control in each process..

Abstract

Rural area development, as mandated by Law number 6 of 2014 concerning Village and Law number 27 of 2007 concerning Spatial Planning, is necessary to accelerate development and community empowerment in rural areas. Hence, The Karanganyar Regency Government compiled an organic rice rural area development plan (RPKP), implemented in 2017-2021. However, a proper program effectiveness evaluation has never been conducted. This study aimed to evaluate the output effectiveness of the organic fertilizer facilities improvement program. This study used a deductive approach with research variables derived from a literature review and supported planning documents, especially the RPKP. Program effectiveness was measured using the output achievement, utilization rate, and cost reduction for activities in the organic fertilizer facilities improvement program in 2017-2019. The observation units and research location consisted of farmer organizations that received the program’s activities in organic rice rural areas, Karanganyar Regency. The results showed that the program was ineffective because entire activities were not running effectively. The number planned output was not fulfilled, the facilities utilization rate was very limited, and most farmer organizations were unable to reduce organic fertilizer’s cost. Factors that affect the program's ineffectiveness are: the preparation of programs and activities in the RPKP has not been discussed with the funding source entity; program content lack clarity in the planning documents and the location of rural areas in the regency spatial planning document (RTRW); coordination and financial support from ministries, regional government, and local village governments; the conditions and planning of farmer organizations receiving the program; and inadequate assistance from the regency government.

Abstract

Spatial accessibility and range of services are some important aspects to measure the government administration in providing basic services. Network analysis is useful to identify the effectiveness of medical and education service facilities in Semarang City, based on location and capacity. OpenStreetMap (OSM) is a spatial open data initiative that based on crowd-sourcing system by OpenStreetMap Foundation. OSM database is designed to map the road network and facility features in detail. The OSM database in this study is used to map the accessibility of service facilities in order to improve the public services by local governments.

Abstract

Magelang Regency is a food commodity-producing Regency which makes Magelang Regency one of the fulfillments of food needs for the surrounding area. This study aims to determine the basic and non-basic sectors, analyze the development trend of food commodity production (rice, large chili, sugarcane and beef) in Magelang Regency, and analyze the effect of food commodity production on the gross regional domestic product (GDP) of the agricultural sector in Magelang Regency. The data used are time series data from 2003 to 2021. The methods used in this study are Partial Adjustment Model (PAM), Classical Assumption Test, Least Square method and location quotient analysis. The results showed that the variables of rice, chili, sugarcane and beef production had no significant effect on the Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) of the Agricultural Sector of Magelang Regency both in the long and short term. The Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) of the Agricultural Sector of Magelang Regency in the previous period had a significant effect on the Gross Regional Domestic Product of the Agricultural Sector of Magelang Regency. Trend analysis in the production of rice, chili and beef experienced an increase but the production of sugarcane experienced a negative trend. Location quotient analysis shows that large rice and chili are included in the basic sector while sugarcane and beef are not included in the basic sector.

Abstract

The role of the agricultural sector in economic development is very important because most people in Jepara Regency depend on this sector. This study aims to analyze the relationship between the agricultural sector to the percentage of poverty and inequality in Jepara Regency. The data used is data on the growth rate of the Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) of Jepara Regency on the basis of constant prices by business field (percent) and the percentage of poor people in 2011-2020. The data analysis method used is Spearman Rank correlation analysis. Based on the results of the study, the correlation coefficient value is 0,733, which means that the agricultural sector variable has a significant relationship with the percentage of poverty and inequality in Jepara Regency.
