Abstract

Ribbed Smoked Sheet Rubber is Indonesia’s leading export product. PTPN IX is one of the state-owned companies that also processes latex into RSS, but still faces many obstacles in its production process caused by various factors. This study aimed to analyze: 1). RSS production quantity, 2). RSS production quality, 3). level of production risk, 4). primary risk that cause failure, and 5). mitigation strategies to minimize the impact of production risks. The research was conducted from February to April 2021 at Merbuh Plantation, PTPN IX Trayu Village, Singorojo District, Kendal Regency. This research used the case study method. Data was analyzed using descriptive quantitative methods include Coefficient of Variation (CV) and Fuzzy Failure Mode and Effect (Fuzzy FMEA). The results showed that the level of risk in the RSS factory Merbuh Plantation is classified as very high with 24% of CV. There were 3 main risks out of 17 identified risks with the highest FRPN value, i.e.: aluminum insulation damage (8.74), dry rubber content is not up to standard (7.63), and early upregulation of latex with (6.87). Risk mitigation in disciplinary aspects, labor aspects, and technical aspects needs to be implemented in order to reduce risk.

Abstract

This research aims to examine the application of turkey forage processing technology to the productivity of the turkey. The observed materials were turkey in Undaan District, Kudus Regency; the feed ingredients were CP 511 commercial feed, forage in the form of water hyacinth, and rice bran. The research method is descriptive. There is purposive random sampling to represent the size of the research area. It applies in 15 breeders on Undaan District as the samples. The research variables are the application of forage processing technology of the turkey farmer and the productivity of the turkey. The result is that the turkey breeders in Undaan generally have mechanical processing on a forage. The forages were chopped with a forage-chopper machine or a knife manually. The forage processing was started by chopping the water hyacinth, then added the concentrate and the bran with the ratio 6:1:3. All of the components were mixed in a bucket with 40 liters capacity. The conclusion is that the turkey breeders applied a simple technology by chopping the forage components with a forage-chopper machine or a knife manually. The forage, that consists of water hyacinth, concentrates, and additives, can increase the turkey productivity.

Abstract

The potency for mitigating climate change is owned by mangrove forests because of their ability to store and absorb large amounts of carbon for a long time. Based on this potency, it is necessary to conserve mangrove areas, by maintaining the land as the carbon storage for future generations, by natural approaches, such as reforestation, and by engineering technology, such as building a seawall. The research aims to estimate biomass, carbon storage, and the ability of mangroves to absorb carbon from mangrove tree stands, as the main vegetation that makes up mangrove forests. The results can be the references to maintain mangrove ecosystems. The sampling method is purposive sampling in 4 stations with 20 total sample points, which represent the overall characteristics of the vegetation in Mangrove Eco-Tourism, Mojo Village, Pemalang. Carbon stock analysis was using allometric equations to estimate carbon storage in tree stands. The results showed that there are 3 mangrove species in this area, namely Avicennia Marina, Avicennia Alba, and Rhizopora Mucronata. They each have Important Value Index of 210,7; 12,8; and 76,5. Total biomass and carbon content of mangrove stands in the entire 57,3 Ha area is about 7.070,91 tons of biomass and 3.323,33 tons of carbon storage with the ability to absorb CO2 is 12.196,61 tons/day.

Abstract

Human development is one of the main focus of development in National Medium-Term Development Plan (RPJMN) 2020-2024. This is stated in the third of seven development agendas, "Improving Quality and Competitive Human Resources". Level of human development can be reflected through the Human Development Index (HDI). In 2020, HDI of Central Java Province is 71,87. It has reached the high-level category (70-80), but it is closer to the medium-level category (<70). HDI of Central Java Province in 2020 occupied only on the 13th position among 34 other provinces. There is a need for optimizing the conditions of human development in Central Java Province. Mapping on the quality of human development contributes to ensure equitable distribution of competencies in order to accelerate national economic recovery during pandemic. Therefore, this study aims to identify, map, and determine priority areas for human development in Central Java Province as recommendations for government in making policies. There are three different analysis method, they are descriptive analysis, spatial analysis with Moran's and LISA, and Metropolitan Statistical Area (MSA) to determine development priority areas. The variable of study is HDI values for 35 districts in Central Java Province. The result of descriptive analysis describes that the western region of Central Java Province tends to has a lower of HDI values than the center to eastern side. Based on geospatial linkages and MSA approach, the human development planning in Central Java Province should focus on the three MSA formed, namely MSA Tegal, MSA Pekalongan, and MSA Purworejo as the development priority areas.

This study aimed to analysis: 1). Consumer satisfaction on purchasing organic mustard at Farmers Market 2). Factors that influence consumer satisfaction in purchasing organic mustard greens at Farmers Market. This research was conducted from May to June 2021 at Farmers Market Semarang. The research used a survey method. The sampling method used is accidental sampling. Data were obtained from interviews with respondents using a questionnaire that has been prepared. The number of samples used was obtained from five times the number of questions that had been made, namely 100 respondents. The criteria for the selected respondents are consumers who have purchased organic mustard greens and are willing to be interviewed and are 20-45 years old. Methods of data analysis using quantitative methods include Importance Performance Analysis (IPA), Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI), and Logistics Regression. The results of the IPA calculation show that promotional attributes still need to be improved to meet consumer expectations, while product, price, and service quality attributes are the main priority and need to be maintained because they are in line with the expectations of Farmers Market consumers. The calculation of CSI obtained a value of 79.52% which indicates that consumers are satisfied with the organic vegetables sold. Abstract

The increase in the number of workers in Central Java Province is one of the objectives of this study in analyzing the role of GRDP, the workforce, and the UMP in an effort to increase job opportunities during the period 1991-2020. This research uses multiple linear regression model with classical assumption test method and statistical test consisting of t test, f test, and coefficient of determination test (). The results of the study show a positive influence between GRDP and UMP growth with job opportunities. Furthermore, the labor force variable has a significant negative effect in increasing the level of employment opportunities. Another finding is that there is an influence between the variables of GRDP, labor force and UMP growth in increasing the level of employment in Central Java during the period 1991-2020. It is necessary to study other factors that can affect employment opportunities in Central Java, including interest rates, investment, number of companies, production value and so on
