Abstract

This community service project focuses on enhancing economic independence in Girikerto Village, Sleman, through the development of Merapi Valley Campground and supporting local Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), specifically a goat milk soap business. The project implemented a comprehensive approach aligning with Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 3, 8, 9, 11, 13, and 15. Methods included stakeholder socialization, BPOM certification assistance, outbound package creation, website development, and infrastructure enhancement. The program successfully established tourism packages, created an outbound arena, developed digital marketing platforms, and initiated the BPOM certification process for the MSME product. While economic targets have not yet been fully realized, continued assistance and integration with university service-learning programs are recommended to ensure sustainability. This case demonstrates how university-community partnerships can effectively strengthen rural economies through tourism development and MSME support. Abstract

Paper is a material with various daily applications, as a medium for writing, printing, drawing, wrapping, etc. Although in the digital era the role of paper is increasingly minimal, it cannot be denied that the use of paper continues. Besides being useful, paper also leaves a problematic side when it becomes waste. Paper waste that is tried to be eliminated by burning will cause air pollution in the form of disturbing and dangerous smelling smoke, especially in large and continuous volumes. Recycling paper waste is important in order to prevent and minimize environmental damage due to inappropriate handling. The process of recycling paper aims to process paper waste into "new" paper that can be reused and has a selling value. By utilizing household equipment that is generally available at home, this training activity is carried out through simple traditional methods, namely soaking, blending, to the process of filtering paper pulp and drying. The training was carried out on 45 students of SMK N 1 Trucuk, Klaten. This training produces practical solutions for dealing with paper waste while providing basic provisions for students to be able to recycle used paper, so that the implementation of creativity in the future is useful. With the uniqueness of the visuals of paper that is made artistically, it can also be applied as a material in making handicraft products that have sales value.

Abstract

Waste is a crucial issue that must be addressed, especially by the government. Although waste is a particular concern, the reality is that it is not being managed properly. Waste remains an unresolved problem. Almost every day, people produce waste and it is mixed together from various types of waste. The accumulation of waste will cause various problems, such as flooding, ecosystem damage, and poor water sanitation. The purpose of this community service is to provide socialization about an effective waste management system, including the decomposition of organic and inorganic waste and the distribution of trash cans. Because the community service sees that one of the main factors that causes villagers to throw waste in the river is the lack of trash cans in several places frequently visited by the community. The method of implementing this PKM is initial implementation, socialization, distribution of trash cans, monitoring and evaluation with an emphasis on solving the problem, namely the lack of literacy and public awareness about waste. The conclusion of this community service is to create a clean environment free of waste that will have a positive impact on the community and the surrounding environment so that the community can realize the importance of managing waste that can generate economic value. It is hoped that this activity can increase and encourage public thinking about the benefits that can be generated by the presence of trash cans, waste management, and literacy that has been provided to the community.

Abstract

Abstract

Agriculture, livestock, and fisheries are key sectors that support the economic life of the majority of the Purwosari village community. They face environmental and social vulnerabilities, while also facing economic vulnerability. This is achieved by transforming traditional technologies currently used by the community to increase fisheries yields and downstream marketing through Free Nutritional Meal Kitchens (MBG) in the surrounding Wonogiri area. Strengthening village human resource development through the empowerment of Appropriate Technology (PTTG) in Purwosari Village, Wonogiri, aims to encourage energy independence in the economic activities of community groups. This includes strengthening the human resources of the Purwosari village community health post (Posyantek) for the construction of 200W solar cell TTGs and 2000W converters, solar-powered pond water pumps, and the construction of aquaculture ponds; and for freshwater fisheries. In general, the assembly of solar-powered water pump models can be adapted to field conditions and market availability. The core of this assembly is converting the electricity supply from the state electricity company (PLN) into electricity from natural sources (sunlight). The necessary equipment includes: Solar panels/solar cells (photovoltaic), controller, inverter, battery, cables, and mounting frame. The life cycle cost calculation for a solar-powered fisheries system at the PSDA Community Group (Pokmas PSDA), with solar-powered pumps and lights, shows a cost efficiency of Rp. 61,600,000 – Rp. 19,665,000 = Rp. 41,935,000 (assuming the equipment's life cycle cost is 10 years), resulting in a cost savings of 67%.   Keywords: Fisheries, PSDA Community Group, Solar Energy, TTG

Abstract

This community service activity aims to enhance financial management literacy and the adoption of financial technology (fintech) among the Mama Papua Suara Hati Ibu noken craftsman group in the Baliem Valley, Jayawijaya. The main problems faced by partners are traditional financial record keeping, limited access to formal financial services, and low understanding of fintech applications. The implementation method is socialization, training, mentoring, and evaluation through pre-test and post-test. The results of the activity show a significant increase in knowledge and skills of partners in managing finances in a structured manner by utilizing the Qasir application as a digital recording medium, namely 60% where initially only 3 people understood financial technology, after the training, the number increased to 28 people. Supporting factors for this community service activity were the active role of all participants during the implementation, the partners' openness to problems faced, and the existence of clear duties and functions for partners, so that it was easy to coordinate the course of the training, as well as the support of the tribal chief regarding security during the activity. However, there were several obstacles during the implementation, including limited access to electricity, unstable internet, and tribal war during the activity, that required rescheduling and adding training time. The hope is that this activity will foster digital financial management literacy among partners, promote economic independence, and serve as a model for sustainable technology-based MSME empowerment in underserved and underserved regions (3T). Keywords: Qasir App, Financial Technology, Mama Papua, Noken, Underserved and Underserved MSMEs (3T)
