Abstract

Altmetric is metrics and data information to measure the interaction of scientific paper on social media through the data obtained. This study examines the distribution of scientific papers of Sulawesi island state universities on social media. This study uses a quantitative descriptive. The stages of this research consist of problem identification, data collection, data pre-processing, altmetrics approach analysis and discussion results. This research was conducted online by taking data in the form of scientific paper citation data including keywords affiliated with the Sulawesi Island state university and the year being limited from 2020-2022, while social media data was obtained from Altmetrics.com by extracting DOIs from every scientific publication on Scopus. com. The social media that are the focus of this research are Twitter, Facebook, Blog, and Mendeley. The results of this research show that the distribution of scientific papers of state universities on the island of Sulawesi on social media is Mendeley with a total of 15,378 Readers, Twitter with 3,124 Mentions, Blogs with 77 Posted and Facebook with 30 Shared. These results show that apart from being popular on academic platforms or international journals (Scopus), the public universities on the island of Sulawesi are also popular on Mendeley's social media platforms, Twitter, Blogs, Facebook..

Abstract

One of the determining factors in efforts to improve the quality of service in university libraries is to increase the competence of librarians. The digital era has changed the role of the library which has an impact on service changes. Accordingly, this study analyzes the competency of librarians in supporting library services at the Library of Islamic State of Sunan Gunung Djati Bandung using American Library Association (ALA) standards. The research approach uses descriptive qualitative with a case study model where researchers observe and examine documents and gather information by interviewing librarians, heads of libraries, heads of administration and staffing bureaus, and users consisting of lecturers and student. The results of the analysis show that the competence of librarians is still limited to managing printed collections. As for digital services, only 0.26% of the total number of librarians manage it so competencies related to digital library services need to be improved and developed.

Abstract

The rapid development of information and communication technology provides recommendations for libraries to optimize reference services to remain relevant and effective for users. One of the latest technologies that can be utilized is ChatGPT. ChatGPT is a large language model developed by OpenAI. This research aims to explore the role of ChatGPT technology in optimizing reference services for students at Prima Indonesia University Library. This study also seeks to identify the factors influencing the utilization of ChatGPT technology by students in accessing reference services. This research uses a qualitative approach with a case study method involving in-depth interviews with librarians and students, participatory observation, and document analysis. Thematic analysis will be used to analyze the collected data, ensuring data validity through source triangulation and member checking. This research is expected to provide insights into the potential of ChatGPT in enhancing reference services for students at Prima Indonesia University and offer recommendations for libraries to leverage the latest technology in optimizing their services. ChatGPT plays an important role in optimizing reference services for students at the Prima Indonesia University library. This technology offers easy access to information, search efficiency, and practicality which really helps students in meeting their reference needs.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh tingkat kemampuan literasi informasi dalam pencarian informasi pada mahasiswa S1 Ilmu Perpustakaan dan Sains Informasi Universitas Terbuka. Jenis penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuatitatif dengan metode penelitian kuantitatif dan metode penelitian survey dengan menggunakan kuesioner sebagai tekni pengambilan datanya. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh mahasiswa S1 Ilmu Perpustakaan dan Sains Informasi Universitas Terbuka. Teknik pengambilan sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah random sampling. Total sampel yang diguna dalam penelitian ini adalah 373 mahasiswa. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan regresi linier sederhana dengan bantuan IBM SPSS V26. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa berdasarkan hasil dari uji korelasi antara 2 variabel yakni kemampuan literasi informasi dan pencarian informasi diketahui nilainya sebesar 0,892 shingga termasuk dalam kategori tinggi. Berdasarkan hasil regresi diketahui bahwa kemampuan literasi dan pencarian informasi pada mahasiswa S1 Ilmu Perpustakaan dan Sains Informasi Universitas Terbuka sebesar Y = 6,906 + 0,729X1. Sedangkan uji koefisien determinan sebesar 0,794 atau 79,4% sisanya sebanyak 20,4% dipengaruhi oleh factor lain yang tidak diteliti.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the power relations of Michel Foucault in the accreditation of higher education libraries in Indonesia. Given the large role of the higher education library in supporting the implementation of education in the tertiary institution itself, accreditation as a formal recognition of quality assurance or the fulfillment of quality standards in implementation needs to be questioned. The data proves that from 2,057 university libraries in Indonesia, 722 have just been accredited, so the researchers tried to conduct a study by looking at Foucault's power relations in accrediting university libraries. The method used in this research is exploratory descriptive method. The results of this study convey that the accreditation of higher education libraries has Foucault's theory of power relations. This can have an impact on the organizational structure of the library manager in implementing and managing the library. The organizers and managers in question are the implementation and management as mandated by Law no. 43 of 2007 and PP no. 24 of 2014 and SNP no. 13 of 2017 which meets library standards, but it needs to be understood that Foucault's theory of power relations only gives to anyone freely, whether it's the power of one's own will or power over one's position and whether the effect is good or bad depends on the person who uses that power himself.

Abstract

This study aims to discover subject dispersion of Tik Ilmeu journal articles. Research data were generated from 86 articles of 2017-2022 publication. The subjects were assigned through analysis of the titles, abstracts and keywords. Subjects were grouped according to the JITA Classification System of Library and Information Science. During six years publication, subjects that received high attention, namely Information sources, supports, channels 15 times (17%), followed by  Users, literacy and reading 14 times (16%), then by Information technology & library technology 13 times (15%). Information treatment for information services published 3 times (4%), Theoretical and general aspects of lib & Info, and Industry, profession and education, both 4 times (5%), Publishing and legal issues and Housing technologies only 1 (1%) in the same period. Both subjects were ignored by the authors for 5 years. From year to year, Information sources, supports, channels was consistently represented and get the most attention. Information technology & library technology, despite their high percentage, was not represented in the first year. This subject reached its highest peak in 2019 (36%) then fell, and at the end of the period it was only 12%.

Abstract

This study examines the trend of libraries in the development of the intellectual tradition of Muslim communities in Aceh. This study used qualitative descriptive research. Data collection techniques are carried out using interviews, documentation, and observation. The data obtained are analyzed using data reduction techniques, data presentation, and conclusions. The results of this study show that the trend of libraries in the development of intellectual traditions of Muslim communities in Aceh, among them first, the café library is an alternative library that is in great demand by students, second, the library is crowded at the end of the lecture period, Third, the books that are requested by visitors are novels, and comics

Abstract

Tulisan ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui aspek-aspek keterampilan interpersonal bagi pustakawan dan bagaimana caranya membangun keterampilan interpersonal yang baik. Sementara keterampilan interpersonal merupakan kemampuan berinteraksi secara efektif dan efisien. Oleh karena itu keterampilan interpersonal mutlak dibutuhkan oleh setiap individu dalam menjalani kehidupan, terlebih di dunia akademik dan pekerjaan. Salah satu profesi yang sering berhadapan dengan orang lain adalah pustakawan. Untuk itu pustakawan harus membekali dirinya dengan keterampilan interpersonal meliputi keterampilan berkomunikasi, kecerdasan emosional, kerja tim, negoisasi, resolusi konflik dan mediasi, pemecahan masalah serta pengambilan keputusan. Pada dasarnya setiap individu terlahir dengan keterampilan interpersonal dan hal ini dapat dikembangkan dengan cara menjadi pendengar yang aktif, menghargai orang lain, senantiasa tersenyum, dll.

Abstract

This is a new author guidelines and article template of Tik Ilmeu: Jurnal Ilmu Perpustakaan dan Informasi since the year 2017 publication. Article should be started by the title of the article followed by the author's name and affiliation address and abstract. This abstract section should be of size 11 pt and number of words 150-200. Special for the abstract section, please use left margin of 35 mm, right margin of 30 mm. The single spacing should be used between lines in this article. If the article is written in Indonesian, the abstract should be typed in Indonesian and English. Meanwhile, if the article is written in English, the abstract should be typed in English only. The abstract should be typed as concisely as possible and should be composed of: problem statement, method, scientific finding results, and short conclusion. The abstract should only be typed in one paragraph and one-column format.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui sistem pengembangan sumber daya manusia di Perpustakaan Diplomasi serta menganalisis pengembangan sumber daya manusia di Perpustakaan Diplomasi. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan observasi, wawancara bersama informan secara mendalam, serta triangulasi. Informan dalam penelitian ini adalah Kepala Bidang Perencanaan, Pengembangan dan Evaluasi (PPE) dan 3 orang pegawai Perpustakaan Diplomasi yang telah mengikuti program pengembangan sumber daya manusia. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan metode pengembangan yang dilakukan oleh pegawai Perpustakaan Diplomasi menggunakan metode off the job training dengan cara mengikuti seminar, talkshow, workshop, Diklat yang diselenggarakan oleh Perpusnas, serta kaji banding ke perpustakaan dalam negeri dan luar negeri. Hasil dari pengembangan sumber daya manusia di Perpustakaan Diplomasi dapat dikatakan cukup baik karena telah memenuhi 5 dari 10 indikator keberhasilan pengembangan sumber daya manusia, yaitu meningkatnya prestasi pegawai, menurunnya tingkat pemborosan bahan baku, tenaga dan waktu, meningkatnya kerjasama karyawan, meningkatnya prakarsa karyawan dan pengambilan keputusan manajer yang semakin baik
