Abstract

The Library of SMA Negeri 15 Bandung has used the Edoo platform as a form of digital library implementation. The library has provided hundreds of e-libraries that can be used by all school members. Due to a shortage of users, the Edoo platform in the SMA Negeri 15 Bandung library experienced difficulties in developing. As a result, the various contents and library materials available cannot be used optimally. To increase these users, a good promotion strategy is needed. This study used is descriptive qualitative method. Edoo is an educational platform that has various management services at the school level, equipped with online and offline classes, a digital library, and special social media features that can be used by school members. Edoo has various advantages which make it easier for libraries and schools to use and utilize it. In the Edoo promotion strategy at the SMAN 15 Bandung library, There are a number of possible activities, including creating a brief introductory video for Edoo, movies on how to install applications, and videos on how to use Edoo, including using services and borrowing libraries through applications. The video will be distributed via the library's Instagram using the school's digital madding. It is preferable if the teacher participates in and helps with this Edoo promotion. Since encouraging students to utilize and access programs to support teaching and learning activities requires instructor participation.

Abstract

Climate information is important in decision making. Access to relevant and timely weather information is an important factor in increasing farmers' resilience to climate change. Information systems are considered essential for enhancing the ability of individuals, businesses and governments to adapt to change and climate change. Information users can use the information system to assist in making decisions about management adjustments to climate projections. Climate information should be communicated in languages understood by local farmers and linked directly to farm management decision-making processes to ensure information is timely and usable by small producers. The survey was conducted on the user's level of trust in the climate information system issued by the BMKG. No less than 59 respondents stated that the climate information obtained was very good, accurate and timely, received late, difficult to understand, diverse climate information did not reach all sectors. In order to remain productive in running the agricultural industry, accurate information is needed so that users can make optimal use of it. By knowing climate information, climate risks can be minimized.

Abstract

The Role of the Balai Buntar Village Library, Central Bengkulu in Developing Information Literacy in the Pondok Kelapa Community. Using qualitative methodology, this research examines the important impact of the Village Library's role in collecting data through observation, document analysis and interviews. The findings of this research highlight the efforts made by libraries to provide information accessibility, implement information literacy programs, empower the community, utilize technology, collaborate and build community creativity, as well as monitor and evaluate library operations. These results provide a comprehensive understanding of the benefits and role of the Village Library for the Pondok Kelapa Community as a center for community information literacy and also know that programs such as training, interest in reading, and collaboration/cooperation carried out with educational institutions are the key to success in improving information literacy skills.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to identify the implementation of digital school libraries in Indonesia along with the obstacles in their implementation. This study used a systematic review method with planning, execution, and reporting stages. The databases used in this research were Google Scholar and Portal Garuda with a publication limit of the last 10 years (2013-2023). The search yielded a total of 169 articles. After the elimination process, a total of 9 articles were analyzed in this study. The results show that the majority of library implementations in Indonesia use web-based platforms with digital collection borrowing services obtained from free sources or the government. The obstacles in implementing digital libraries include limited budget, competent human resources, infrastructure, and digital library networking. This systematic review is expected to be used as a reference to determine further research agendas and considerations for schools in Indonesia that will implement a digital library system suitable for user needs.Keywords: digital library; school; implementation

Abstract

Intellectual capital has a role in disseminating information in libraries, this is because the process of disseminating information cannot only rely on library materials. The wider the intellectual capital owned, the more information that can be disseminated. Intellectual capital consists of human capital, structural capital, and relational capital. The librarian is the actor who disseminates information in the Elementary School Library, the information that is disseminated should be correct and can be accounted for. This study aims to identify the role of intellectual capital for librarians in disclosing information in elementary school libraries. This study uses a qualitative method with a case study approach. Selection of informants using purposive sampling technique. Data collection methods in this study were interviews and observation. The results showed that librarians' intellectual capital consisting of human capital, structural capital, and relational capital played a role in disseminating information in the SDIA 61 library. Human capital played a role in the information assistance process, structural capital played a role in the process of preparing information, and relational capital played a role in therapeutic techniques information and the type of information disseminated

Abstract

The Islamic University of North Sumatra (UINSU) Library has transitioned to a digital library to meet the literacy and information needs of its students. This study aims to evaluate how well the digital collection services at UINSU Library meet user needs and identify the main challenges faced. The research employs a qualitative approach, using data collection techniques such as direct interviews and questionnaires. Data analysis is conducted through descriptive analysis methods to determine the effectiveness, barriers, and user satisfaction with the digital collection services at UINSU. The results indicate that the digital collection services are effective in facilitating information access. Overall, users express satisfaction with the ease of access and the wide availability of digital collections. However, users still encounter technical issues, such as slow internet connections with speeds of 2.4 GHz, which affect their information search experience. The study highlights the importance of managing technology and infrastructure adequately to support the library’s digital transformation towards more effective and responsive services to user needs in the digital age. The study concludes that this service provides significant benefits to users scattered across various locations, allowing them to access library collections without having to visit the library in person. Based on the informants' experiences using the service, there are numerous types of digital collections available in the library

Abstract

Tradisi intelektual para ulama telah menghasilkan beragam kajian dalam bidang keislaman. Kajian karya ulama ini dilakukan dengan metode penelitian kualitatif sehingga dapat menggali fenomena lebih luas dan mendalam sesuai dengan kondisi lapangan ketika melakukan observasi. Pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini dilakukan melalui observasi langsung dan wawancara pada informan terkait.  Observasi akan dilakukan selama 6 (enam) bulan dengan menelusuri keberadaan karya tulis ulama yang ada di pondok-pondok pesantren baik di Kabupaten maupun Kota Malang, Jawa Timur. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meninventarisasi karya hasil pemikiran para ulama di wiayah Malang. Penelitian ini berhasil menginventarisasi 34 karya ulama dengan beragam bidang kajian atau subjek keilmuan meliputi hadis, sekte dan aliran agama Islam, fikih, doa dan wirid, tasawuf, aqidah, akhlaq, tata bahasa, dan tauhid. Pondok pesantren yang ada di seluruh wilayah Malang merupakan target utama lokasi yang dikunjungi. Peninggalan karya para ulama tentunya menjadi warisan ilmu pengetahuan, sejarah dan budaya yang perlu dilestarikan agar nilai informasi yang telah dihasilkan tidak lekang oleh waktu.

Abstract

Currently, the use of devices in children is increasing, accompanied by a decrease in literacy rates. From the results of the study, the level of literacy in children is quite low. To increase interest in reading in children not only requires the role of parents, but the place where they go to school also takes an important role in improving children's literacy. Low literacy of children can be overcome by carrying out various activities regarding literacy itself. Another alternative that can be done is to hold a literacy program in the school library. It aims to assist children in improving and growing their reading literacy as well as the realization of revitalization. This activity took place from July to August at SDN 1 Moyoketen. With the literacy program and library revitalization, it is hoped that it can make students more interested in visiting the library and reading the collections contained in the school library

Abstract

Knowledge of Indonesian culture among students at SDN Mojo III Surabaya needs to be increased, so that this knowledge is easily accepted, the library uses an approach through traditional games. The game of snakes and ladders inserts images of Indonesian cultural characteristics, this is intended for students to know, understand, and appreciate Indonesian culture. The methods used include the preparation stage, making the game technically, implementing activities, results, and evaluating. The results obtained after implementing the game are proven to be able to increase Indonesian cultural literacy in students, this is evidenced by the ability of each student to easily understand and remember, then be able to convey it smoothly through verbal communication. The benefits are that students become more familiar with and understand the diverse Indonesian culture and provide motor skills and memory about Indonesian culture. The conclusion from this activity is that the game of snakes and ladders can increase the cultural literacy of students at SDN Mojo III Surabaya.

Abstract

The development of village libraries has had its ups and downs. In this case, Balai Buntar Library, Pondok Kelapa Village, Central Bengkulu, also faced similar problems in its development. The village government has an important role in library development. The purpose of this research is to find out how the role of the village government in the development of Balai Buntar Library to increase the visiting interest of the people of Pondok Kelapa village, Central Bengkulu. This research uses a qualitative approach method on case studies. Data collection techniques used includes observation, interviews, documentation and triangulation. The results of this study indicate that of the six research indicators, namely socialization and promotion of programs, development of facilities and infrastructure, improvement of resources, community involvement, cooperation, and appreciation, as an effort that library staff make in terms of library development to increase community interest in visiting the library has been running and is fully supported by the village government but not maximally. So that the existence of Balai Buntar Library has not been fully felt by the surrounding community considering the number of visitors continues to decline from previous years.
