Lead is a heavy metal that is often found in shellfish. Increased lead levels in shellfish are also associated with increasing industrialization. The purpose of this study was to determine the QMR and lead (Pb) exposure concentration among shellfish fishermen in the waters of North Galesong. This study is quantitative in nature, using analytical methods with a cross-sectional approach to determine the factors associated with lead (Pb) exposure in fishermen's hair. The research design is descriptive. The research design used is a cross-sectional study. The research sample consisted of 30 coastal fishermen located in the waters of Galesong Takalar. The sampling method used was purposive sampling. This study showed that the results of the chi-square test obtained a value of p= 0.426 > α (0.05), so it can be concluded that there is no significant relationship between body weight and lead concentration from height at high risk and Pb concentration does not meet the requirements in 1 (20.0%) person and height at high risk and Pb concentration meets the requirements in 4 (80.0%) people with a total of 5 (100%). It can be concluded that there is no relationship between nutritional status, there is a relationship between duration of consumption, and there is no relationship between health complaints. It is hoped that fishermen will increase their awareness in efforts to reduce and pay attention to the duration of shellfish consumption to minimize lead exposure.

According to the Agency for Toxic Substances and Disease Registry (ATSDR), benzene is an organic solvent that is carcinogenic. Benzene can enter the body through the respiratory tract, digestion, and skin contact. The study found no association between work duration and phenol levels (p-value = 0.205), which reassures policymakers that factors beyond exposure time influence benzene absorption. The development of a Quantitative Risk Assessment (QRA) model aims to identify workplace chemical exposure cases, helping protect workers' health by linking environmental exposure to health risks and predicting benzene concentrations in workers' urine. This study aims to assess phenol levels in workers' urine using the QRA method. The research design is an analytical observational study with a cross-sectional approach. The study was conducted on motorcycle repair shop workers in Makassar City. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling. Data collection was carried out through surveys using questionnaires, observations, interviews, and laboratory examinations. The results of the study showed that there was no relationship between work period and phenol levels in the urine of workshop workers (p-value = 0.281), nor between exposure duration and phenol levels in the urine of workshop workers (p-value = 0.205). However, there was a relationship between the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and phenol levels in the urine of workshop workers (p-value = 0.000). Therefore, motorcycle workshop workers are expected to comply with the use of PPE while working to minimize the risk of benzene exposure.

The phenomenon of menstrual disorders most often experienced by young women is dysmenorrhea, this can disturb your sense of comfort and disrupt your daily activities, generally it is not dangerous but must be treated immediately. Dysmenorrhea is caused by levels of prostaglandin and vasopressin, causing pain. Dysmenorrhea treatment can be divided into two categories, namely pharmacological and non-pharmacological. Pharmacological treatment such as taking non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs), while non-pharmacological treatment can be done with a combination of Benson relaxation therapy and aromatherapy. The aim of this research is to determine the effect of the combination of Benson relaxation therapy and aromatherapy on the intensity of dysmenorrhea. The research design used is Quasi Experimental with a pre-experimental design, with a one group pretest-posttest design to see the effect of a combination of Benson relaxation therapy and aromatherapy before and after the intervention. The sampling technique used consecutive sampling which had been adjusted to the inclusion criteria and exclusion criteria. Data processing/statistical tests used the Wilcoxon test with a significance level of α < 0.05. The results showed a value of ρ = 0.000 where the value of ρ <α, then Ha was accepted. So it can be concluded that there is an influence of the combination of Benson relaxation therapy and aromatherapy on reducing dysmenorrhea in young women. The suggestion from this research is that this therapy can be used as an alternative therapy for those experiencing dysmenorrhea.

Motor development during infancy is a crucial foundation for children's physical and cognitive development. Motor development delay in infants aged 4-12 months remains a problem that requires early stimulation. Baby swim is a form of early stimulation that utilizes the properties of water to stimulate muscle movement and neural coordination. This study aimed to analyze the effect of baby swim on the motor development of infants aged 4-12 months at Asyifa Baby Care Clinic Sengkang, Wajo Regency. The study employed a pre-experimental design with a one group pretest-posttest design. The study population consisted of all infants aged 4-12 months who participated in baby swim at the clinic. The sample comprised 30 infants selected using the total sampling technique. The baby swim intervention was conducted by a trained midwife following standard operating procedures for 10-15 minutes in warm water at 38-40°C using a neck ring. Motor development was measured using the Pre-Screening Developmental Questionnaire (KPSP) before and after the intervention. Data were analyzed using the Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test with a significance level of p<0.05. Before the intervention, the majority of infants (80.0%) were in the questionable development category with the language development being the most delayed aspect. After the intervention, a significant improvement was observed, with 73.3% of infants achieving normal development status, particularly in the fine motor development. The Wilcoxon test showed a significant effect of baby swim on infant motor development (p=0.000; p<0.05). Baby swim is an effective early stimulation intervention for improving motor development in infants aged 4-12 months.

The implementation of the Early Warning Score (EWS) in hospital settings plays a crucial role in the early detection of patient clinical deterioration; however, adherence to its completion varies in practice. This variability is influenced not only by technical aspects but also by individual factors among nurses. This study aimed to analyze the relationship between nurses’ knowledge and motivation and the completeness of Early Warning Score (EWS) documentation at UPT RSUD Labuang Baji, South Sulawesi Province. A quantitative study with a cross-sectional correlational design was employed. The study population consisted of all 45 inpatient nurses, using a total sampling technique. Data were collected using a self-developed questionnaire based on literature review and the National Early Warning Score (NEWS) guidelines, and analyzed using univariate and bivariate analyses with Fisher’s Exact Test at a significance level of 0.05. The results showed that the majority of respondents had good knowledge (97.8%), moderate motivation (71.1%), and good completeness of EWS documentation (93.3%). The bivariate analysis revealed no significant relationship between knowledge and EWS completeness (p=0.787), nor between motivation and EWS completeness (p=0.935). In conclusion, nurses’ knowledge and motivation were not associated with the completeness of EWS documentation, indicating that EWS implementation is more strongly influenced by organizational and system-level factors than individual factors.

Patient safety is a critical global health challenge, given that over 10% of adverse events are actually preventable. Hospital Administration students, as future healthcare managers, require comprehensive knowledge regarding Patient Safety Goals. This study aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of an educational intervention on Patient Safety Goals—comprising lectures, videos demonstrating the implementation of each goal, and discussions—in improving the knowledge of Hospital Administration students. A quantitative approach with a pre-experimental one-group pretest-posttest design was employed, involving 41 fourth-semester students from the Hospital Administration Study Program at ITEKES Tri Tunas Nasional in April 2026. The education was delivered in a single 3.5-hour session. A 12-item questionnaire, validated via product-moment correlation and tested for reliability, served as the instrument. Data were analyzed using the Wilcoxon Signed-Rank Test at a 95% significance level. The majority of respondents were 20-year-old females residing in Makassar City. The mean knowledge score increased by 2.49 points, rising from 7.51 to 10. The proportion of students with a "good" level of knowledge increased from 26.8% to 80.5%, and the "poor" category was no longer observed post-intervention. The Wilcoxon test yielded a p-value < 0.001, indicating a significant difference between pre- and post-education knowledge levels. Education on Patient Safety Goals proved effective in enhancing the knowledge of Hospital Administration students. The researchers recommend integrating Patient Safety Goal material into the curriculum from the beginning of the study program and utilizing clinical simulations to master more complex procedural aspects.

Quality of work life is a crucial factor supporting the well-being and performance of healthcare workers, yet it often receives insufficient attention in primary healthcare facilities. This study aimed to analyze factors associated with work-life quality among healthcare workers at the Sabbangparu Community Health Center (Puskesmas) in Wajo Regency. A quantitative approach with a cross-sectional design was employed. The study population consisted of all 53 healthcare workers at the facility. A total sampling technique was used, meaning the entire population served as the sample. Data were collected via questionnaires and analyzed using univariate and bivariate methods (specifically the chi-square test). The results revealed that the majority of respondents (60.4%) perceived their quality of work life as poor. Bivariate analysis indicated that work motivation (p=0.008) and workload (p=0.002) were significantly associated with the quality of work life, whereas work facilities were not (p=0.211). It is concluded that work motivation and workload are factors associated with the quality of work life for healthcare workers at the Sabbangparu Community Health Center. Therefore, the facility needs to enhance work motivation and properly evaluate and manage workloads as part of efforts to improve the quality of work life for its healthcare workers.

Work stress is a physical and emotional response that can occur when job demands do not align with a worker's capabilities, resources, or needs. Nurses are a group of healthcare professionals at risk of experiencing work stress due to the high demands and workloads involved in providing healthcare services. This study aimed to identify factors associated with work stress among nurses in the Emergency Department (ED) and inpatient wards of Tenriawaru Bone Regional General Hospital (RSUD). This was a quantitative study utilizing a cross-sectional design. The study population consisted of 60 nurses: 30 from the ED and 30 from the inpatient wards. The entire population was included in the sample using a total sampling technique, resulting in 60 respondents. Data were collected via questionnaires and analyzed using the chi-square test with a significance level of α=0.05. The results showed a significant association between age and work stress (p=0.001) and between workload and work stress (p<0.001). Meanwhile, length of service was not significantly associated with work stress (p=0.061). It can be concluded that age and workload are factors associated with work stress among nurses in the ED and inpatient wards of Tenriawaru Bone RSUD. Therefore, workload management aligned with nurses' capabilities and capacities, along with the implementation of stress management strategies, is necessary to reduce the risk of work stress.
