Abstract

Emergency handling of positive Covid-19 is important for the general public to know, this is because the number of deaths due to Covid-19 is very high. The purpose of this activity is to increase knowledge about Covid-19 positive emergencies. The number of participants involved as many as 120 participants. This community service activity begins with a pretest, material presentation, discussion and question and answer sessions using the Zoom meeting application, then ends with filling out a post test. Univariate and bivariate data were analyzed using paired t test. The results of this activity indicate that there is an increase in the average knowledge of respondents significantly pretest 72.06 and post test 85.09 with a significance of 0.00. This shows that the use of online methods can increase respondents' knowledge regarding the health education topics that have been given. The conclusion is that the implementation of health education using online methods can increase respondents' knowledge. It is hoped that the implementation of health education with this method can be carried out to provide information for the respondents involved.

Abstract

Abstract Breast cancer is a problem that often attacks women from adolescence to the elderly. An effective way of preventing breast cancer is knowing the early symptoms of breast cancer with the BSE Movement. If this knowledge of breast cancer is given from an early age and prevention efforts are also understood from an early age, adolescents, especially high school students, will be spared the risk of this cancer. This PKM is carried out to increase students' knowledge about breast cancer and provide students' understanding that the environment can be used to improve health to fight if there are breast cancer seeds in our bodies. Giving cancer knowledge is by inviting one of the SRIKANDI cancer foundations. This PKM conducts two main activities, namely online seminars or webinars by inviting all high schools in Jakarta and the second activity, namely providing medical equipment to cancer survivors through the SRIKANDI Cancer Foundation. The result of this PKM is to increase people's knowledge that the environment is the main thing that can affect a person's psychological condition. A green environment can promote a happy and healthy psychological state. Psychological health can affect the body's immune activity. The better a person's psychological condition, the better his immunity. The better one's immunity, the better one's defense against breast cancer cells will be. So it is necessary to increase the body's immunity in order to avoid breast cancer. Keywords: cancer, breast, environment, prevent

Abstract

The data from Indonesian Ministry of Women Empowerment and Child Protection shows that the children that aged between 13-17 years are the most vulnerable ones to sexual violences. One of the most dangerous cases and hotly discussed in the field is the child grooming or child sexual grooming. This violence is perpetrated by adults against children by building trust and emotional relationships so that it is easier for perpetrators to manipulate, exploit, and harass the victims. In order to tackle the rise of this kind of violence, it is necessary to educate the potential victims especially the children. This socialization program was conducted for students of SMPN 279 Jakarta. With the proper knowledge related to sexual violence example such as child grooming, the children can recognize the grooming behavior and can prevent them from becoming victims.

Abstract

Abstract The COVID-19 (coronavirus) pandemic has caused many changes in daily life. Good nutrition is very important before, during and after infection. Adequate nutrition, especially vitamins and minerals, is needed in maintaining an optimal immune system, vegetables and fruits are the best sources of various vitamins, minerals and fiber. According to the World Health Organization (WHO), the elderly is someone who has entered the age of 60 years and over. In Indonesia, the number of elderly people increased from 18 million people (7.56%) in 2010 to 25.9 million people (9.7%) in 2019 and can be expected to continue to increase where in 2035 to 48.2 million people (15,77%). The elderly need a variety of foods to maintain a nutritional balance, one of which is to avoid infectious diseases (eg infections) and non-communicable diseases (eg hypertension). In principle, the elderly really need protection and the provision of correct information during a pandemic, especially regarding mental and physical health care. According to statistical data, the Thousand Islands Regency in 2021 consists of 2 sub-districts and 6 urban villages. During the period of 1 year (2019 – 2020), the population of the Thousand Islands experienced an increase of 1.56 percent. If we look at the population by age group, it can be seen that the composition of productive age (15-64 years) is almost double the unproductive age (> 64 years/elderly) which is 66.82 percent. Therefore, in community service activities (PKM), we want to do Vitamin and Food Supplement Counseling for the elderly (over 60 years old) in P. Tidung Village, Pulau Seribu on 17-19 June 2022. Abstract

This community service project is part of an ongoing campaign in the Mentawai Islands to prepare for a healthy, environmentally friendly tourism resort following the Covid-19 endemic. Four large and tiny islands make up the Mentawais (252 units). Siberut, Sipora, and North and South Pagai are large islands. The sub-district capital of the Mentawai Islands Regency is 2 meters above sea level (DPL). Mentawai Islands Regency's capital is Tuapejat, 153 km from Padang. Only water can access West Sumatra's wealth. FGD programs are a village service. As a contribution to the Civil Engineering Study Program FT UKI, which focuses on a sustainable environment, by focusing on community empowerment in waste management to prepare infrastructure that supports Tourism and the Creative Economy of the village. Garbage piles pollute Mentawai Regency Tuapajet Environmental. Several campaigns aim to raise environmental awareness. As government partners in the FT UKI Civil Engineering Study Program, universities must help reach coastal communities like the Mentawai Islands. Residents underestimate the impact of a considerable volume of waste piled up in residential areas due to a lack of education. Since 2006, the government has used television to promote 3R household garbage management (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle). Various campaign strategies apply the 3R principles to raise public awareness of waste management.

Abstract

Melindungi WNI merupakan amanat konstitusi. Upaya peningkatan pelindungan WNI dilaksanakan antara lain melalui pembangunan sistem pelindungan, termasuk melalui inovasi teknologi seperti Portal PEDULI WNI. Portal PEDULI WNI merupakan sistem yang memfasilitasi pendataan WNI di Luar Negeri melalui fitur lapor diri, serta memudahkan WNI untuk mengajukan layanan baik secara online, maupun booking online untuk datang langsung ke perwakilan, serta memudahkan WNI untuk mengajukan pengaduan secara mandiri langsung melalui aplikasi. Portal ini telah diterapkan di seluruh Perwakilan RI di luar negeri sejak Januari 2019. Program pengabdian kepada masyakarat yang dilakukan oleh para dosen dan mahasiswa Fakultas Ilmu Sosial dan Ilmu Politik, Universitas Kristen Indonesia tanggal 6 September 2021 berupaya untuk meningkatkan pemahaman para pelajar Indonesia di Toronto terkait penggunaan Portal PEDULI WNI. Metode yang dilaksanakan dengan mengenalkan program melalui zoom dan interaksi tanya jawab serta penjelasan aplikasi secara daring. Diharapkan dengan adanya sosialisasi dan diseminasi ini, para pelajar Indonesia di Toronto akan mendapatkan pelayanan dan pelindungan dari Perwakilan Indonesia di Luar Negeri secara maksimal. Abstract

Garbage in the capital city is one of the problems that need to be concerned. There have been many government and community programs that have sought management from management to waste cultivation from problems to blessings. In line with this movement, the Architecture Study Program, Faculty of Engineering, Christian University of Indonesia in Community Service activities invites Cawang Urban Village residents to be creative and innovate about the presence of waste in the environment so that in the future waste will not be a burden from life, but can reduce waste, utilize waste by useful creativity. This activity is expected to be able to fill the busyness, eliminate boredom but can produce useful works. Thus in the new normal era after the Covid 19 pandemic, residents of Cawang, East Jakarta can make creative and useful things by using used items in their respective homes as interior decoration elements related to the ceiling, walls and floors. The competition activity is a series of activities starting from socialization, workshops on the use of used goods for interior decoration elements. The competition was attended by representatives from each of the Neighborhood Associations (RT) of Cawang Urban Village, East Jakarta.

Abstract

Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (PkM) merupakan sarana melaksanakan misi Universitas Pelita Harapan yaitu berkontribusi untuk kemajuan ilmu pengetahuan dan kebudayaan berdasarkan wawasan Kristen Alkitabiah serta berpartisipasi dalam pengembangan individu dan masyarakat bagi kemuliaan Allah. Kegiatan PkM dilaksanakan di Gereja Kristen Alkitab Indonesia jalan Raya Kelapa Dua, Ruko Blitz, Blok A No. 28, Gading Serpong, Tangerang- Banten. Analisis kebutuhan berdasarkan angket menunjukkan bahwa jemaat belum memahami secara utuh bagaimana memiliki pola hidup sehat dengan harga yang terjangkau. Kondisi ekonomi jemaat yang rendah membuat jemaat lebih memilih mengkonsumsi makanan murah dan tidak sehat tanpa memperhatikan kesehatan tubuh. Tujuan dilaksanakannya PkM adalah agar jemaat mengetahui, sudah seharusnya kita menerapkan pola hidup sehat sebagai upaya menjaga tubuh yang telah diberikan oleh Allah. Melalui PkM ini, berharap jemaat dapat menerapkan pengolahan makanan sehat. Kegiatan PkM dilaksanakan pada tanggal 23 Juli 2022 dan dihadiri oleh 20 orang dengan metode ceramah demonstrasi. Berdasarkan hasil angket evaluasi dari jemaat yang hadir menunjukkan, 76,2% menyadari betapa penting sekali menjaga pola hidup sehat dengan mengkonsumsi makanan sehat melalui materi yang telah disampaikan serta memiliki kemauan untuk menerapkannya.

Abstract

Lamandau Regency which is known to have a unique culture, because there is a relationship between the Dayak Tomun tribe which is more or less influenced by Minang culture from the Pagaruyung Kingdom in West Sumatra. In every community life is regulated or organized by customs, and rules regarding various kinds of units in the environment in which they live and socialize from day to day. Of course, this cultural mapping and community readiness is important, because it is related to local community acceptance and the development planning of Lamandau City itself. The materials used in this investigation are several locations of the Dayak Tomun tribe ecosystem around the City of Lamandau Regency. The ecosystem can be in the form of villages or villages of the Tomun Dayak tribe who still carry out and maintain the preservation of their tribal culture. To be able to do this, the investigation method was carried out by visiting each location of the cultural ecosystem of the Dayak Tomun tribe around the City of Lamandau Regency. Then determine the locations that are considered potential. From the implementation of this community service, cooperation was obtained with the Lamandau Regency Government to find out the City Spatial Plan (RUTRK) of Lamandau City Regency related to tourism programs in its area.

Abstract

Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat yang dilaksanakan di Perumahan Griya Bukit Jaya, Gunung Putri, Kabupaten Bogor. Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk memberikan pemahaman akan pentingnya etika berbicara pada Anak-anak RT 16 RW 25 Perumahan Griya Bukit Jaya Gunung Putri Kabupaten Bogor. Berdasarkan pengamatan sehari-hari yang dilakukan oleh ketua abdimas serta wawancara informal yang dilakukan terhadap ibu-ibu di RT 16 Perumahan Griya Bukit Jaya, banyak anak-anak yang menggunakan bahasa yang tidak sopan. Hasil kegiatan pengabdian ini sebagai berikut. Pertama, mencari solusi terhadap permasalahan yang dihadapi oleh para ibu, terutama dalam menjaga emosi seorang Ibu di rumah. Seperti yang kita ketahui bahwa waktu anak bersama ibu lebih banyak dibandingkan ayah. Kedua, permasalahan “bel”, disepakati akan memasang CCTV guna menjaga kenyamanan warga terutama yang memiliki bayi. Lalu, pada permasalahan orangtua yang tidak mau diberi saran, sebaiknya dilakukan pendekatan personal terkhusus tetangga samping rumah. Kemudian, anak-anak yang sudah terbiasa mengujarkan kata atau kalimat konteks “dewasa” maka orangtua serta semua warga sepakat memberikan pandangan secara bersama ketika mendengar kata atau kalimat tersebut.
