Abstract

Materi larutan elektrolit dan nonelektrolit merupakan salah satu materi yang dianggap sulit oleh siswa. Hal ini disebabkan oleh beberapa faktor: 1). Materi larutan elektrolit dan nonelektrolit memiliki level pemahaman pemahaman makroskopik, mikroskopik dan simbolik, 2). Metode pembelajaran yang kurang tepat dan kurangnya alat bantu mengajar berupa media pembelajaran. Salah satu solusi untuk mengatasi hal ini yaitu dengan menerapkan model pembelajaran STAD dengan media alat peraga sederhana dan media flash. Dengan penggunaan model STAD dapat membuat siswa lebih aktif. Untuk menjelaskan materi yang memiliki level pemahaman makroskopik digunakan media alat peraga, sedangkan untuk level mikroskopik dan simbolik mengunakan flash. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengetahui pengaruh proses penerapan model pembelajaran STAD dengan media alat peraga sederhana dan media flash terhadap pemahaman konsep siswa pada materi larutan elektrolit dan nonelektolit. Jenis penelitian ini adalah quasi eksperimen. Populasi pada penelitian ini adalah seluruh kelas X MAN Gerung tahun pelajaran 2012/2013 yang berjumlah 115 siswa. Tehnik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan adalah samplingpurposive sehingga diperoleh kelas XC sebagai kelas eksperimen yang diajarkan dengan model pembelajaran STAD dengan media alat peraga sederhana dan media flash dan XB sebagai kelas kontrol yang diajarkan dengan metode ceramah interaktif dengan media alat peraga sederhana dan media flash. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian: 1). Instrumen perlakuan (silabus, RPP, LKS, alat peraga sederhana dan media flash) 2). Instrumen pengukuran yaitu berupa lembar observasi untuk mengukur proses pembelajaran dan soal tes untuk mengukur pemahaman konsep. Dari hasil uji instrumen diperoleh soal yang valid 36 dan reabilitas 0.77 dengan kriteria sangat tinggi. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa: 1). Keberlangsungan proses pembelajaran pada kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol sama-sama berlangsung dengan baik hal ini dibuktikan dengan persentase keterlaksanaan RPP 2 kali pertemuan, pada kelas eksperimen persentase keterlaksanaannya 68% dengan kriteria baik dan kelas kontrol persentase keterlaksanaannya 65% dengan kriteria baik. 2). Hasil  analisis data menunjukkan nilai zhitung lebih kecil dari ztabel (1,68>1,96),sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa pembelajaran model STAD dengan media alat peraga sederhana dan media flash tidak berpengaruh positif pada pemahaman konsep larutan elektrolit dan nonelektrolit.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bentuk dan kelayakan bahan ajar KAPRA berbasis literasi sains pada materi laju reaksi untuk SMA/MA kelas XI yang telah dikembangkan. Model pengembangan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah 4-D yang  terbatas pada tahap define,  design, dan develop, dan tidak sampai tahap disseminate dengan beberapa penyesuaian berdasarkan kebutuhan pengembangan. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah sebuah produk yaitu Modul KAPRA berbasis Literasi Sains yang mengacu pada silabus kurikulum 2006. Hal ini ditunjukkan dari hasil validasi ahli oleh dosen kimia terhadap modul laju reaksi menunjukkan persentase 86,35% yang berarti sangat layak, hasil penilaian guru diperoleh persentase sebesar 98,75% dan pada ujicoba kelompok terbatas terhadap 10 orang siswa SMAN 1 Gunungsari diperoleh rata-rata persentase kelayakan sebesar 85,42% dengan kriteria sangat layak. Dilihat dari persentase uji kelayakan bahwa produk pengembangan bahan ajar berupa modul yang dikembangkan layak untuk digunakan dan produk yang dikembangkan layak untuk dipakai di SMA khususnya di SMAN 1 Gunungsari.

Abstract

Chemical bond sand intermolecular forces have abstract characteristics. Thepresence of technology in learning media can help students understand theconcept. The learning media in question can be in the form of an androidbasedinteractive e-module that provides convenient accessibility for users. Topresent the atmosphere of science learning, the e-module can be structuredwith the orientation of the Nature Of Science. This research and developmentaims to produce an android-based interactive e-module prototype with thenature of science oriented on chemical bonding and intermolecular forcessubject material to foster students' scientific literacy. This type of researchand development study was carried out with the Nieven development modelwhich consisted of 4 stages: (1) preliminary research stage, (2) prototypingstage ,(3) summative evaluation stage, and (4) systematic reflection anddocumentation stage. However, due to limited resources, this study wascarried out until summative evaluation. With the presentation formula andwith the categories, the results of expert validation obtained an averagepresentation of 90% with very feasible categories, and practical test resultson chemistry teachers obtained avalue of 95% with very feasible categoriesand the results of limited group trials obtained 85% with very decentcategory. Therefore, it can be concluded that the interactive e-moduleprototype that developed is very feasible and can be proceed to abroaderstage in fostering students' literacy skills.

Abstract

Kemampuan metakognisi siswa memegang peran penting dalam menunjang keberhasilan dalam belajarnya. Siswa dengan kemampuan metakognisi yang tinggi memiliki tingkat kesadaran yang tinggi juga terhadap aktivitas belajar yang dilakukannya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendapatkan gambaran tentang keadaan kemampuan metakognisi siswa.Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah  penelitian deskriptif. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa Sekolah Menengah Atas Negeri (SMAN) di wilayah Lombok Tengah-NTB, yang meliputi siswa pada 16 SMAN Sampel yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa yang diambil dari 4 sekolah yang dipilih secara acak. Sekolah yang digunakan adalah SMAN 1 Pujut, SMAN 1 Praya Timur, SMAN 1 Pringgarata, dan SMAN 3 Praya.Pengambilan data dalam penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan kuisioner yang berisi pertanyaan-pertanyaan  yang berhubungan dengan kemampuan metakognisi meliputi pengetahuan metakognisi (deklaratif, prosedural, dan kondisional), dan kesadaran metakognisi (kontrol, monitoring, dan regulasi diri). Hasil analisis data menunjukkan bahwa siswa secara keseluruhan pada keempat sekolah tersebut memiliki kemampuan metakognisi dalam kategori sedang. Data persentase siswa secara keseluruhan menunjukkan bahwa 6,15% siswa dengan kategori sangat baik, 32,31% dengan kategori baik, 51,15% dengan kategori sedang, 10,39% siswa dengan kategori rendah, dan 0% dengan kategori sangat rendah. Persentase kemampuan siswa secara keseluruhan pada setiap indikator menunjukkan kemampuan metakognisi mereka kurang baik (dengan pencapaian persentase tiap indikator < 60%).

Abstract

This development aims to determine the characteristics and feasibility of multipleinquiry-based representation modules in the reaction rate material through theADDIE stage (Analyze, Design, Development Implementation and Evaluation)developed by Thiagarajan. This research and development was carried out untilthe development stage with adjustments based on development needs. Theassessment instrument used to determine the feasibility of the module is aquestionnaire sheet. The module feasibility was assessed by 2 material experts, 1media expert, 1 linguist, 1 colleague, 1 practitioner, and 10 students as subjects.Students involved in this study came from chemistry education study programsthat had undergone basic chemistry courses through limited trials. The data onthe value of the grievances obtained are still in the form of qualitative data andthen processed into quantitative data. Quantitative data are analyzed for eachaspect of the assessment. The final score obtained is converted to the level ofproduct feasibility qualitatively with the guidelines according to the criteria ofthe assessment category. The results of expert validation showed the averagepercentage (a) of material experts was 84% with very feasible categories; (b)media experts 90% with very decent categories; (c) linguists 97% with verydecent categories; (d) colleagues 79.6 categories worth%; (e) practitioners86.4% are very decent categories. The average response of students to productdevelopment results 89.5% with a very feasible category. This shows that themodules developed are feasible to be used at the stage of large-scale trials.

Abstract

The voltaic cell teaching materials used in high school are still in the form of textbooks that do not present multiple representations of chemistry, namely the macroscopic, submicroscopic, and symbolic levels. The three levels of chemical representation can be visualized using flipbook teaching materials so that students are expected to understand the voltaic cell material. Teaching materials are used to support the learning process. Current learning still uses conventional learning models that only focus on teachers. Constructivist-based active learning is needed because it involves students so that learning is more meaningful. One of the constructivist learning models is the guided inquiry learning model which includes observing, asking questions, compiling hypotheses, gathering information, testing hypotheses, and concluding. The purpose.of this development.is to.produce a proper guided inquiry-based flipbook teaching material. The flipbook teaching.materials were developed.using the Four-D model (define, .design, .develop,and.disseminate) but the disseminated stage was not carried out. Media and material validation was carried out by five chemistry lecturers. The legibility test was carried out by 50 high school alumni with a specialization in Science. The assessment uses a Likert scale accompanied by comments, suggestions from the validator, and audience. The data obtained from the analysis questionnaire to determine the feasibility level of the product using the percentage technique. The validation of the flipbook teaching materials development product in terms of material obtained an average score of 85.4%, validation in terms of media.obtained.an.average percentage of 85.5%, while the readability test results obtained.an.average.percentage of 87%. Based on the results.of material validation, media, and legibility tests, it can be concluded that the flipbook teaching materials guided inquiry-based voltaic cells are very suitable as a learning resource.

Abstract

Photo roentgen used for examination of internal organs can produce wastes that are harmful to health and the environment because they containing silver metal ion(Ag+) inform of silver thiosulfate complex ([Ag(S2O3)2]-3). Therefore it was necessary for the separation of Ag metal so that the metal does not pollute the environment and can be used economically. One way to separate the metal Ag is by solvent extraction techniques. This study aimed to determine the effect of concentration ratio of TBP:D2EHPA and carrier compound concentration in the organic phase of the percent extraction of silver metal then applied to the sample photo roentgen waste. Extraction of the metals Ag done by varying the ratio of the combined carrier concentration of TBP and D2EHPA in kerosene by concentration ratio was 0: 1; 0.25: 0.75; 0.5: 0.5; 0.75: 0.25 and 1: 0 M as well as by varying the carrier concentration in the organic phase ranging from 0 M; 0.5 M; 1 M and 1.5 M. Measuring the concentration of metal ions Ag+in water phase before and after extraction was determined by atomic absorptionspectrophotometer (AAS) at a wavelength of 328,22 nm then calculated percent extraction. Based on the research that obtained the highest percent extraction on single used carrier compounds and compound concentration carrier D2EHPA in optimum water was 0.5 M with 58.22% percent extraction. Applications optimum conditions to the extraction of silver metal obtained from photo roentgenwaste percent extraction was 10.27%.

Abstract

Karya tulis ini disajikan bertujuan untuk member informasi kepada guru SMA khususnya mata pelajaran Kimia dalam upaya mengembangkan pembelajaran kimia melalui strategi pembelajaran kooperatif tipe TGT dengan menggunakan media  pembelajaran Monosimpur (Monopoli Sistem Periodik Unsur-Unsur). Ide yang  disajikan dalam karya tulis ini agar  dapat diaplikasikan dalam pembelajaran dan dapat dikembangkan berdasarkan kebutuhan masing-masing.

Abstract

The aims of this study were to produce android base chemistrylearning media prototype and evaluate its elibibility andeffectiveness on student science literacy growing on redox reactionand electrochemistry subject material. In form of research anddevelopment, this study was carried out by ADDIE (Analysis,Design, Development, Implementation, dan Evalution)model ofinstructional development. Data was collected by content anddesign validation questionnaire, practitioner and student respondquestionnaire, and science litracy test. Data was analyzed byelegiibility percentega and categories and N-gain test. Study resultshowed that media design and content validity was very eleigiblewith 80 % of eligibility percentage. Practitioner and studentsrespond was very eleigible with 82.22 % and 86.35 % of eligibilitypercentage average respectively. This media effectiveness onstudent literacy growing was proven by N-gain value 0.65 % withfair category. It can be concluded that android base chemistrylearning media that developed was very eligible for chemistylearning application and grow student science literacy on redoxreaction and electrochemistry subject material effectively.

Abstract

Studying hydrocarbon material requires ability in problem solving so students are able to identify, analyze, and describe abstract chemical concepts and principles into concrete. The purpose of this study was to the improving of students' hydrocarbon problem solving abilities through the SAVI learning model assisted by puzzle media. The research design used in this study was pre-experimental with a research design namely One Group Pretest-Posttest Design.The study was conducted at SMAN 7 Mataram, Jl. Adi Sucipto, Ampenan Utara, Kec. Ampenan, Mataram City, West Nusa Tenggara. The subjects of this study were students of class XI Science. The research instrument include syllabus, lesson plans, worksheets, and multiple choice test items. Data were analyzed using the N-Gain test to find out the increased ability to solve hydrocarbon problems. The results showed that the level of N-Gain was in the range of 0.33 with a moderate category which meant an increase in students' problem solving abilities after using the SAVI model assisted by puzzle media. Thus, it can be concluded that students' problem solving abilities can be improved through the application of SAVI learning models assisted by puzzle media.
