Abstract

This thesis aims to analyze efforts to resolve disputes through deliberation and the form of legal protection of the customary rights of the Dayak Agabag Indigenous Community with PT.KHL. This study uses an empirical legal research method with a qualitative approach where the research data is obtained through interviews with informants and literature in the form of legislation and data analysis techniques are taken from interviews and literature studies. The results of the study indicate that deliberation is an alternative dispute resolution that results in a mutual agreement, namely the provision of compensation money, UMKM training for the Community and empowering the Dayak Agabag indigenous community to work in the company and build a public facility around the company. As for legal protection for the Dayak Agabag indigenous community issued by the local government specifically for the Dayak Agabag itself, there is no such thing yet, but it is hoped that the government will immediately issue the latest regulations specifically regarding customary rights for the Dayak Agabag indigenous community so that there is strong legal protection and certainty for the Dayak Agabag community.

Abstract

This study investigates the types of assessments presented in the Merdeka Curriculum English textbook English for Change for Phase F (Grade XI), using Bloom’s Taxonomy as the analytical framework. As textbooks play a central role in translating curriculum goals into classroom practice, it is critical to examine whether their assessments promote a balanced range of cognitive skills. A qualitative content analysis was conducted to identify and categorize 74 assessment tasks according to the six levels of Bloom’s revised taxonomy: Remembering, Understanding, Applying, Analyzing, Evaluating, and Creating. The findings show that while the textbook incorporates both lower-order and higher-order thinking skills, a greater emphasis is placed on the former—particularly Understanding and Applying. Tasks requiring critical thinking and creativity (Evaluating and Creating) are included but appear less frequently. These results suggest that while the textbook aligns broadly with the Merdeka Curriculum’s competency-based philosophy, enhancements could be made to deepen cognitive engagement. Implications are discussed for teachers, curriculum developers, and researchers seeking to improve the design and implementation of assessments in EFL contexts.

Abstract

The number of retail investors in Indonesia continues to grow, particularly in mutual fund and stock investment products. This growth is driven by the emergence of financial technology in the investment sector, which facilitates easier access for the public to open securities accounts. By the end of 2024, there were 6,381,444 stock and other securities investors in Indonesia. The increase in stock investors must be supported by high electronic service quality provided by investment applications to ensure ease of use during transactions.This study aims to assess the level of electronic service quality (e-service quality) of the Ajaib investment application. Additionally, it seeks to identify the gap between customer perceptions and expectations regarding Ajaib’s e-service quality, enabling the company to recognize which dimensions require improvement or should be maintained.This is a descriptive study with a quantitative research method. The sample was obtained using incidental sampling. Primary data was collected by distributing a questionnaire to 385 Millennial users of the Ajaib application. The data were then analyzed using Importance-Performance Analysis (IPA) and gap analysis. The results indicate that the user satisfaction level with Ajaib's e-service quality stands at 94.99% (<100%), suggesting that the application’s performance falls short of user expectations. Descriptive analysis reveals that the importance score (83.99%) exceeds the performance score (79.83%). The attribute that should be the main focus for service improvement, according to the importance-performance analysis quadrant, is ensuring that transactions on the Ajaib platform can be completed quickly.

Abstract

Growing presence of Buy Now Pay Later (BNPL) services has significantly influenced the way consumers conduct digital transactions. Generally structured as short-term, interest-free credit, these services have rapidly gained traction—especially among younger generations in Indonesia, BNPL services have been on the rise, with significant growth in the number of contracts signed for these services. According to the Financial Services Authority (OJK) report (2023) the number of BNPL contracts in Indonesia reached nearly 80 million in 2023, showing an average annual growth rate of 144.35% in the last five years. This research aims to analyze the factors that influence young people, especially Generation Z, in adopting buy now pay later services. In addition, research was conducted to examine the factors that influence user behavior using the Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT) theory with the addition of Financial literacy variables. This research uses descriptive research with quantitative methods. The research sample was obtained using 400 respondents. Data was obtained through questionnaires distributed to Gen Z in Greater Bandung. The data was then analyzed with the Statistical Package for Social Science (SPSS). The results showed that the variables of effort expectancy, social influence, and financial literacy have a significant influence on behavior intention. Furthermore, performance expectancy, financial literacy and behavior intention have a significant effect on use behavior. Based on the results of mediation testing, social influence and financial literacy have a significant effect on use behavior through behavior intention as a mediating variable.

Abstract

As teacher education evolves to meet the demands of diverse, dynamic classrooms, the need for meaningful collaboration between universities and schools has become more urgent than ever. This study investigates the structural, functional, and relational components that underpin effective school–university partnerships in the preparation of pre-service teachers. Employing a convergent mixed-methods design, the research draws on survey data from 104 participants—including university educators, school mentors, and student teachers—alongside in-depth interviews and document analysis across multiple institutions. Findings reveal that while foundational elements such as strategic alignment and institutional support are necessary, the long-term success of partnerships hinges on enabling conditions like relational trust, informal communication, and leadership continuity. Based on these insights, the study proposes a three-layer strategic framework that integrates policy, practice, and interpersonal dynamics. This model not only illustrates the complexity of collaborative teacher education but also offers a practical guide for institutions seeking to build more sustainable and reciprocal partnerships. The study concludes by discussing implications for practice, equity in recognition, and directions for future research.

Abstract

This study investigates how narrative framing affects students’ perceived authenticity and learning responses in career planning education. A total of 189 students from Weifang Vocational College (Mage = 18.6, 52.4% female) were randomly assigned to one of three experimental conditions: original (graduate self-narrated), reenacted (actor-performed), or reconstructed (scripted voiceover). All groups received the same career story content, differing only in delivery. Participants completed standardized scales measuring perceived authenticity (trustworthiness, typicality, vividness, control), emotional involvement, situational vocational interest, and career misconceptions. Structural equation modeling (SEM) with MLR estimation and bootstrapping (5,000 resamples) was employed to test direct and mediated effects. Results indicated that narrative framing significantly influenced perceived authenticity (F = 11.84, p < 0.001), which in turn fully mediated effects on outcomes. Perceived authenticity predicted emotional involvement (β = 0.41, p < 0.001), vocational interest (β = 0.36, p = 0.002), and career misconceptions (β = 0.23, p = 0.017). Students in the original framing group reported 23.7% higher authenticity ratings and 19.5% greater emotional engagement than those in the reconstructed group. Direct effects of framing on outcomes were non-significant, underscoring the mediating role of authenticity perception. These findings offer new empirical support for designing perception-driven narrative interventions in career education and contribute to the theoretical refinement of authentic learning in vocational contexts.

Abstract

Building quality Islamic educational institutions to produce competitive graduates is an urgent need today. The quality is derived from a quality culture, so the quality of Islamic educational institutions should be from ‘the Islamic quality culture’ managed by the institutions themselves. The design of a quality culture is worthy of consideration. Since Islam is a perfect religion, if the ‘Spirit of Islam’ is successfully adapted by an educational institution, the institution deserves to be called a true Islamic educational institution. Such kind of institution can answer most of the public demands. This research was conducted at two Islamic education institutions, MAN 2 Malang and MBI Amanatul Ummah Mojokerto. From the qualitative study, it was found that both institutions had implemented the principles and mechanisms of ‘taking the spirit of Islam’ and using it as the design of the institutions’ quality culture. Thus, this resulted in various quality excellences in students, teachers, educational staff, and educational institutions. The design of the quality culture of both institutions followed the principles of: 1) focus on God’s truth, 2) the power of dedication, 3) riyadlah/self-discipline, and 4) commitment to quality. This is the design of a quality culture with the spirit of Islam in Islamic educational institutions, which is able to produce optimal and sustainable quality.

Abstract

Javanese literature can be categorized as modern literature with genres of novel, novella, drama and short story although researchers have not yet discussed Javanese literature in the same stage as Western literature. This paper analyses Tiwiek Suwignyo Adi’s Carang-carang Garing by using theory of literary anthropology. Literary anthropology is a study that combines literary studies with anthropology, focusing on the relationship between literary works and their social, cultural, and historical contexts. Begin with narrating the morning life of a lower economic class Javanese family, Adi’s Carang-carang Garing tells in a close and detail way about the struggle of lower economic class Javanese mpeople in facing the capitalist industry as the circumstance of Indonesian society in the 20th century. In this case what is faced by the main characters, Suyatman and Darmini is situation where there is a violation which breaks the harmony of Javanese society, Bambang does not want to admit his deed in impregnating Darmini and Suyatman feels jealous to his sister’s family who always get riches in their life. Darmini kills Bambang and Suyatman kills his sister’s son. Their evil to kill is not just a protest between members of Javanese people, as part of hierarchical order in Javanese society the protest is also the symbol of protest from lower economic class to the ruler who does not care to the lower economic class people.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of Perceived Usefulnesss, perceived ease, perceived risk, and generational differences on attitudes towards smart vending machines at the airport. Generational differences are reviewed from generation Z compared to the previous generation, namely the Millennial generation. The study was conducted through a survey of 111 respondents who were taken randomly through accidental sampling, namely those who were intentionally or unintentionally willing to become research respondents. The analysis was conducted using a multiple linear regression approach. The results of the study found that the average attitude of respondents was to like the existence of smart vending machines at the airport. Perception of benefits and perception of convenience have a positive effect on respondents' attitudes towards smart vending machines at the airport, while perception of risk has a negative effect on respondents' attitudes towards smart vending machines at the airport. Generational differences also affect respondents' attitudes towards smart vending machines at the airport. Generation Z has a higher attitude compared to the previous generation (millennials).

Abstract

Informal sector female workers in Yogyakarta face various challenges in obtaining adequate legal protection. However, there are still various laws and regulations that provide protection for workers, but their implementation in the informal sector is still limited. The existence and continuity of informal sector activities in the economic system play a significant role in community development and national development. This study aims to identify various local government policies, as well as the implementation of relevant national regulations, such as “Law No. 13 of 2003 concerning Manpower”.The method used is normative juridical research, which is based on a statutory approach and a case approach. The results of the study indicate that although there have been efforts to provide legal protection through policies regulated by law, their implementation in the field is still limited, especially in terms of monitoring and awareness of female workers regarding their rights.
