Abstract

One of the factors which affect the quality of graduates of a university was the quality of input. The quality of the input related to the requirements for passing entrance exams for prospective students. The value of National Examination contributed in that case. Some results from research said there was an effect between the value of the National Examination with other variables. Mathematics material obtained from the level of education of Elementary School until Higher Education. Mathematics was a field of study that provides many benefits to other disciplines. Therefore the researchers wanted to know the effect between Mathematics National Examination from Senior High School and the value of Applied Mathematics’s cadets from AMN Cilacap. This research was a quantitative research with population of all cadets in Nautical Science (2015). The sampling technique was done by random sampling so as to produce sample cadets in the Nautical Science of class A. The independent variable in this research was Mathematics National Examination. The dependent variable was value of Applied Mathematics. Data was analyzed using a linear correlation test with SPSS software. The result showed that the result obtained with significance value (Sig.) which gave conclusion no effect between Mathematics National Examination from Senior High School and the value of Applied Mathematics’s cadets in Nautical Science of AMN Cilacap.

Abstract

The purpose and the hypothesis of this research is aim to analyze the effect of variable the readiness of infrastructure (X1), availability of coal (X2), and performance of employees (X3), to the variable stevedoring productivity (Y). This object of this research is taken by crew of coal’s ship, stevedoring worker, and employees of the PT. Pelabuhan Indonesia III (Persero) Branch ofTanjung Intan Cilacap with total 76 respondents. The data analysis is using Regression model tools SPSS Version 22,0. The result from this analysis is the readiness of infrastructure, availability of coal, and performance of employees, have positive and significant impact to the variable stevedoring productivity. The output from variable the readiness of infrastructure, availability of coal, and performance of employees, have impact on the variable stevedoring productivity with amount 69,4%, while the rest 30,6% influenced other variables outside the study.

Abstract

Orientation of regional development, especially coastal areas it is time to make marine sector as one of development priorities. Coastal areas should consider and make marine potential as one of the doors of economic development, so that it can be aligned and relevant to the current demands of national development based on marine resources. From a social and cultural perspective, marine-based development is also a reinventing aspect of life that was once dominant in the culture and traditions of the Indonesian nation.The achievement of development results in the marine-based sector provides a diverse picture. From the subsector that can be classified as business fields in the marine sector such as fisheries, marine tourism, mining and energy, maritime industry, sea transportation, marine building and marine services, not all sectors give significant yield and contribution to the nation's economy.Cilacap regency located in the southern coast is very feasible for the development of maritime sector, with the support as the only district that has a port of goods on the south coast of Java.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the implementation of the ship charter agreement, what are the conditions for tugboat and barge charters with a time charter contract, actions for delaying ship returns, and actions for disputes at PT. Global Marine. This study uses a qualitative descriptive research method in the form of written or oral words obtained from observations of the behavior and people associated with the object of this study to obtain secondary data. The results obtained are the process of the occurrence of a ship charter agreement between PT. Global Marine with PT. Pelayaran Bumi is carried out in three (3) main stages, including agreement, chartering agreement, and determination of rental costs. The next research result is the action taken when the ship returns are delayed, namely by applying a bonus ballast, as well as actions when there is a dispute with consensus for consensus, if no consensus is reached, then it can be resolved through the Registrar Office of the Jakarta District Court.

Abstract

The goal to be achieved in this paper is to predict the form of cloud based on rainfall criteria in Cilacap waters. (1. Group of nimbostratus clouds, stratus, altostratus, 2. Group of stratocumulus and altocumulus clouds 3. Cumulus and cumulonimbus cloud groups). The method in this study is a combination of survey and literature review. In this study the authors take the location in the waters of Cilacap. The data used are secondary data obtained from the Central Bureau of Statistics of Cilacap Regency. Sample data used is statistical data within the period of 5 years starting from 2012 until 2016. Based on the data analysis that has been done, namely the classification or classification of rainfall intensity data within the period of 5 years (2012-2016) obtained detailed data that is : In 2012 the average rainfall intensity of 10.6mm with rainfall criteria including light rain then belongs to the cloud form of Stratocumulus, altocumulus; In 2013 the average intensity of 11.1mm rainfall with rainfall criteria including light rain then belongs to the cloud form of Stratocumulus, altocumulus; In 2014 the average rainfall intensity of 13.5mm with rainfall criteria including light rain then belongs to the cloud form of Stratocumulus, altocumulus; By 2015 the average rainfall intensity of 10.3mm with rainfall criteria including light rain then includes the Stratocumulus cloud form group, altocumulus; In 2016 the average rainfall intensity of 18.4mm with rainfall criteria including light rain then belongs to the cloud form of Stratocumulus, altocumulus. Based on the details of the data, it can be concluded that the prediction of cloud form based on rainfall that occurs in the waters of cilacap is the group of stratocumulus and altocumulus cloud form.

Abstract

To support increased economic growth and basic services to the community, the quality of infrastructure in each region must be developed such as transportation, education, health, electricity and residential infrastructure. Provision of infrastructure is also very necessary in order to support the implementation of various economic and social activities in the community. The data used in this study are secondary data consisting of BPS data in Cilacap Regency and BPS in Central Java Province 2018, Journals and research related to research. The analytical method used is Klassen Tipology and Estimated Ratio Model (MRP). The results of this study indicate that to improve economic growth and basic services, it is necessary to strengthen connectivity through increased procurement of roads and bridges to connect production areas with distribution areas and facilitate access to tourism areas and increase transportation infrastructure by supporting districts as suppliers of various basic needs for growth and regional and national development.

Abstract

The objectives to be achieved in this study are to analyze the ability of vocational high school students to classify abiotic symptoms (physical properties) and biotic symptoms and their relation to the maritime field. The method in this research is a combination of survey and literature study. In this study the authors took location at SMK Bina Bhakti Cilacap. The instrument used was using worksheets / student activities / abiotic symptoms and applied physics biotics. The analysis used is Descriptive Statistics Frequencies. Comparison of standard deviations. The comparison results show that the standard empirical deviation (s = 7,649) is higher than the hypothetical standard deviation (σ = 5). This shows that the ability of students in classifying abiotic symptoms (physical properties) and biotic symptoms related to maritime fields has high variation. In other words, the ability of subjects to one another is not uniform or have differences. Based on the analysis and discussion that has been done, it can be concluded that the ability of students in classifying abiotic symptoms (physical properties) and biotic symptoms related to the maritime field has high variations. This means that vocational students generally have different abilities in classifying abiotic symptoms (physical properties) and biotic symptoms related to the maritime field.

Abstract

Sandblasting is one of the easiest methods to remove rust or dirt such as oil, paint, etc. on the surface or to change the surface character of the material, either to make it coarser or make a surface smoother, generally applied to metal-based surfaces. Sandblasting is done by spraying abrasive material, usually in the form of silica sand or steel grit with relatively high pressure on a surface. The purpose and research is to explain the sanblasting method on MV vessels. Beautiful diamonds. The method used in this study is a descriptive method that explains the phenomena that occur. ship cleaning methods carried out in the framework of ship maintenance. Sandblasting is very much related to the process of painting a ship. almost every work on sandblasting will continue with ship painting.

Abstract

Sanitation is an effort aimed at environmental risk factors on a ship to break the chain of disease transmission to maintain and enhance health status. Vessel sanitation covers all aspects of ship compartment assessment including kitchens, food supply halls, hatches, warehouses, ship crew rooms, water supply, and food presentation and vector control of infectious diseases or rodents. The purpose of this study is to describe the sanitation of ships. This study uses a meta-analysis method with content analysis, which examines several articles on ship sanitation. From the results of the meta-analysis that most of the ships have carried out sanitation and cleanliness of the ship correctly, but there are still some who have not properly implemented sanitation. Boat sanitation is a condition, which has been mandated by WHO and government regulations.

Abstract

Globalization has entered a new era called the Industrial Revolution 4.0. Klaus (Shwab, 2016) through The Fourth Industrial Revolution states that the world has experienced four stages of revolution, namely: 1) Industrial Revolution 1.0 occurred in the 18th century through the invention of steam engines, so that goods could be mass produced, 2) Industrial Revolution 2.0 occurred in the 19th to 20th centuries through the use of electricity which made production costs cheap, 3) the Industrial Revolution 3.0 occurred around the 1970s through the use of computerization, and 4) the Industrial Revolution 4.0 itself occurred around the 2010s through intelligence engineering and the internet of things as the backbone of the movement and connectivity of humans and machines. The Industrial Revolution 4.0 has changed the way humans think, live and relate to one another. Significant changes in the field of technology, but also other fields such as economics, social, and politics. In this case also affects human resources (HR), because human resource is one of the success factors of the role of industry 4.0. Improving the quality of human resources is very important especially because Indonesia is still lacking, let alone utilizing the latest technology. Technological sophistication cannot be negotiated in social life, especially in the business world, and needs to be addressed carefully and on target. Because of the importance of preparing human resources to have talent and skills.
