Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk : menghasilkan media pembelajaran dalam bentuk media interaktif powerpoint, mendeskripsikan kualitas media pembelajaran yang dikembangkan dalam bentuk media interaktif powerpoint dan mendeskripsikan tanggapan terhadap penggunaan media pembelajaran dalam bentuk media interaktif powerpoint dari hasil validasi kelayakan oleh ahli materi dan ahli media. Penelitian ini merupakan jenis penelitian pengembangan (research and development) dengan mengacu pada model ADDIE (Analysis-Design-Development-Implement-Evaluate). Instrumen yang digunakan untuk mengumpulkan data adalah angket. Teknik analisis data yaitu deskriptif kualitatif. Media yang dikembangkan divalidasi oleh satu orang ahli materi dan satu orang ahli media. Validasi oleh ahli media dilaksanakan 2 tahap dan menghasilkan produk berupa media Powerpoint yang layak untuk siswa SD. Dengan demikian media pembelajaran yang dikembangkan ini dinyatakan layak digunakan dalam pembelajaran.

Abstract

This research discussed the difficulties in reading section of TOEFL test by the students. This research used qualitative method with a thematic analysis approach.The instrumental of this research was EFL students learning outcomes and Interview. This research was carried out at Universities Muslim Nusantara Muslim Al-Washliyah Medan. The subject of this research there were 3 semester 8 students chosen as the participants of the research. The criteria as follows 1 student with higher TOEFL score, 1 student with moderate TOEFL score, and 1 student with lower TOEFL score. The result of research was found namely; vocabulary, fluency, and reasoning and background knowledge. That there are themes namely kinds of vocabulary; reading speed and background knowledge the students need to repeat reading the text for more than 5 times in order to find out the meaning for the unfamiliar vocabulary. The spesific vocabulary such as : science, health and nature phenomena. In this care the students with lower TOEFL score found that lack background knowledge make them being slower in reading the text

Abstract

Perkembangan kognitif menunjukan perkembangan dari cara anak berfikir, kemampuan anak untuk mengkordinasikan berbagai cara berfikir untuk menyelesaikan berbagai masalah. Bentuk perkembangan kognitif pada anak usia pra sekolah adalah anak dapat merancang, mengingat, dan mencari penyelesaian masalah yang dihadapi,Salah satu faktor yang mempengaruhi perkembangan kognitif anak adalah pengetahuan ibu. Adanya tingkat pengetahuan ibu yang rendah tentang perkembangan kognitif anak,akan mengakibatkan anak cenderung manja dan tidak mampu menyelesaikan masalahnya sendiri. Tujuan penelitian ini adaalah untuk mengetahui pengetahuan ibu tentang perkembangan anak usia pra sekolah. Tempat penelitian ini di Desa Bolon Jae . Jenis penelitian ini deskriptif penelitian ini diarahkan untuk menguraikan suatu keadaan atau didalam komunitas atau masyarakat. Penelitian ini akan memaparkan tentang tingkat pengetahuan ibu dalam perkembangan kognitif anak prasekolah. Populasi 32 responden dan sampel sejumlah 32 responden diambil secara total sampling. variable yang digunakan adalah pengetahuan ibu dalam perkembangan kognitif anak pra sekolah.Pengumpulan data menggunakan kuisioner, data yang terkumpul dilakukan pengolahan yaitu penyuntingan data dan tabulasi dengan menggunakan tabel distribusi frekuensi maupun distribusi silang yang dikonfirmasikan dalam bentuk prosentasae dan narasi. Hasil dalam penelitian ini.mayoritas responden berpengetahuan cukup sebanyak 16 responden (50%) dan minoritas berpengetahuan kurang sebanyak 7 responden (21,9%).Hasil penelitian ini diharapkan dapat memberikan gambaran dan acuan untuk pengembangan penelitian lebih lanjut khususnya terkait perkembangan kognitif anak pada usia prasekolah, karena telah diketahui bahwa perkembangan kognitif berkembang pesat pada anak usia dini, juga diharapkan untuk peneliti selanjutnya agar meneliti perkembangan kognitif anak usia dini.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the difficulties of children aged 5-6 years at TKIT Champion Tanjung Tiram in recognizing five vowels, namely children often find it difficult to mention and distinguish vowels such as "e", "u" and the letter "o". While the letters that are always remembered by children are the letter "i" and the letter "a". This study aims to describe the learning process using letter ball media in order to improve children's ability to recognize five vowels at the age of 5-6 years and to determine the increase in children's ability to recognize vowels at the age of 5-6 years at TKIT Champion Tanjung Tiram. The method used in this research is in the form of Classroom Action Research (CAR), which consists of Pre-Cycle, Cycle I, Cycle II and Cycle III. Data collection techniques in this study used observation, interviews, non-test assessment, and documentation. The analysis technique uses descriptive qualitative and quantitative analysis.As for the results of this study, the authors can note that the ability of children aged 5-6 years at TKIT Champion Tanjung Tiram are still many who do not or do not know the five vowels. And the author took the initiative to be able to create a unique learning method associated with the typical way of learning for kindergarten children by playing while learning. In the future, Tanjung Tiram Champion TKIT children will be able to recognize five vowels through learning with letter ball media.

Abstract

The research aims to determine the influence of using series pictures towards students’ reading comprehension in narrative text at Smp Negeri 1 Pagaran .This is research design is experimental research.It was carry out into two groups; The experimental group (VIII 1) was taugh using the series pictures while the control group (VIII 2) was taught without series pictures .The instrument of this research is a multiple choice consisting of 20 question,the test consist of two types ,namely pre-test and post-test to collect data .After collecting data ,the writer then analyzed the test result using –test formula.Based on the data obtained ,it shows that the average pre-test score of the experimental group is 39.33and the control group is 36.33. Meanwhile,the post-test avverage score of the experimental group was 46 and the control group was and the control group was 53,66.Furthmore,it is obtained that the t-test is 1.96 and the table is 1.70 for 0.05 Because the t-test is higher than t-table (1.96>1.70) Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted there is a difference in the post-test mean score between the experimental group and the control group .Based on the result ,it was concluded that using the series pictures was influence in students’ reading comprehension skill in narrative text at SMP N.1 Pagaran.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan: (1) Bentuk penyampaian nilai moral secara langsung dan tidak langsung yang terdapat dalam novel Fatimah Az-Zahra (2) Wujud nilai moral yang terdapat dalam novel Fatimah Az-Zahra. Jenis penelitian ini adalah kualitatif. Metode yang digunakan deskriptif kualitatif. Sumber data teks novel “Fatimah Az-Zahra” karya Sibel Eraslan. Pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik pustaka. Keabsahan data menggunakan validitas credibility yang terdiri dari (1) meningkatkan ketekunan (2) menggunakan bahan referensi. Aanalisis menggunakan model Miles dan Huberman, yaitu pengumpulan data, reduksi data, analisis data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa nilai moral dalam novel Fatimah Az-Zahra bisa diaplikasikan ke dalam kehidupan sehari-hari pembaca. Nilai moral yang terdapat dalam novel Fatimah Az-Zahra terdiri atas (1) nilai moral individual seperti jujur, penyesalan, berjanji, dll (2) nilai moral sosial seperti tolong-menolong, kasih sayang, peduli, dll (3) nilai moral religi seperti menunaikan shalat, bersyukur, dll.

Abstract

The objective of the research was to find out whether there is any significant effect of using mind mapping technique on students’ achievement in reading comprehension. The type of research was quantitative research and it was conducted by using experimental design with two classes, in experimental class consisted to 30 students and control class consisted to 30 students. In technique of collecting data, the researcher conducted pre-test, treatment and post-test by giving reading comprehension test which consist of 10 multiple choice items for each test. The result of this research show that there was a significant effect of using partner reading strategy. It can be seen from the difference between student’s mean score of pre-test and post-test in experimental class which improve from 48 to 73. The mean score of post-test control class was 52 while, the mean post-test in experimental class was 73 was higher than control class. It means, mind mapping technique can be applied to improve students’ reading comprehension.

Abstract

Most students of SMA Negeri 2 Perbaungan face many difficulties to communicate in English. Their lack of vocabulary, lack of grammar and fear of making mistakes and this affect speaking performance of students. The objective of this research was to investigate the students’ speaking ability to describe new vocabulary with difference social media exposure. This observation was taken two days which started from Thursday, 12th May and 19 May 2022. The qualitative research method was used in this research. The subjects of this research chosen based on the result of observation sheet and interviewed eight student as the representative of students in the first grade of SMA Negeri 2 Perbaungan, academic year 2021-2022. The population from this research were the whole students in the 1st grade SMA Negeri 2 Perbaungan. The data collection technique used was observation and test using observation sheets designed with Madsen's theory (1983) to determine the abilities achieved by students, from all research data found 8 research subjects with 4 indicators/elements namely pronunciation, vocabulary, fluency and grammar. After doing the research, it was found that there were 4 students who were active on social media, they had about 8-10 hours per day to use social media. They have 3 levels of speaking ability, namely high, medium and less, 2 students who have a high level of ability are not perfect in describing new vocabulary, 1 student who is moderate still not precise in pronouncing the sentence to be spoken. And 1 student who has a poor level has difficulty in describing new vocabulary. On the other hand, the researcher also found 4 students who were not active on social media, they only used social media 5 hours per day. They have 3 levels of speaking ability, 1 student with a high level cannot describe well, 1 student with a moderate level also has a deficiency in describing vocabulary and 2 students with a bad level are very difficult to describe new vocabulary. In addition, the researcher also found 3 levels of student motivation with different social media exposure, high student motivation there is no parental control over the use of social media as well as moderate student motivation. And students who have low motivation because of parental control over the use of social media. The results of this research, students' speaking ability is not significant to social media and parental control is needed in the use of social media.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu membahas mengenai Media pembelajaran dan penerepannya pada SMPS IT Al Hijrah. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan metode Observasi dalam penelitian Media Pembelajaran. Metode observasi adalah suatu metode untuk mendapatkan data dengan menggunakan pengamatan secara langsung pada obyek penelitian. Hasil penelitian Ini yaitu: Media pembelajaran sangat penting dalam proses pembelajaran karena guru dapat menyampaikan materi kepada siswa menjadi lebih bermakna. Guru tidak hanya menyampaikan materi berupa kata-kata dengan ceramah tetapi dapat membawa siswa untuk memahami secara nyata materi yang di sampaikan tersebut. Dengan adanya kemajuan teknologi informasi dan komunikasi maka guru dalam memberikan materi pelajaran harus mengikuti kemajuan tersebut. Guru harus dapat menggunakan media pembelajaran yang menarik, menyenangkan dan sesuai dengan kebutuhan belajar siswa. Sehingga siswa dapat dengan mudah menerima pelajaran yang di berikan oleh guru. Pada SMPS IT Al Hijrah menerapkan beberapa metode pembelajaran seperti: Metode Ceramah, Metode Demonstrasi, Sosio Drama, Permainan Game, dll.

Abstract

Artikel ini berisi tentang evaluasi pembelajaran yang dimana suatu hal yang harus dilakukan di setiap akhir pada pembelajaran. Setiap zamannya pasti akan timbul kualitas dalam pembelajaran yang dimna setiap kualitas itu ada yang tidak memadai, maka dari itu perlunya evaluasi dalam pembelajaran itu harus diterapkan demi memperbaiki sistem dan kualitas dalam pembelajaran. Setiap lembaga pendidikan juga harus mengetahui kekuatan, kelemahan dan hambatan terhadap dunia pendidikan. Kemudian lembaga pendidikan juga harus membuat sebuah rancangan atau strategi dalam mengevaluasi pendidikan. Sehingga penulis bertujuan untuk menganalisis bagaimana meningkatkan kualitas dalam sistem pembelajaran di dunia pendidikan.
