Abstract

Mindfulness is a practice that is thousands of years old. This practice is also included in the modern mindfulness-based stress reduction training, and its effects on our cognitive system are supported by extensive literature that comprehend mostly fMRI studies and task-oriented experiments with control groups. In this paper, the problem of testing the effects of mindfulness therapy, with specific regard to the yoga practice, is addressed with a Network-Oriented Modelling approach. The first component of the proposed network simulates the elicitation of an extreme stressful emotion due to a strong stress-inducing event. This was done following the same line of previous papers that proposed simulations of similar processes. A second component represents the role of memory, attention, and self-awareness in coping with the stressful event. Finally, the yoga practice, divided into physical movements and breathing, is modelled, to show its influence on memory, attention, and self-awareness, leading in this way to a reduction of the stress level.

Abstract

Developments in virtual technology and data acquisition technology put way to digital twin (DT) technology. Digital twin is a virtual entity that is linked to a real-world entity. Both the link and the virtual representation can be realized in several different ways. Digital Technology plays a very much key role in different areas like in production management, manufacturing, health care, smart cities and so on. Mainly Digital Twin Technology is developed to improve manufacturing processes. With the development of new-generation information and digitalization technologies, more data can be collected, and it is time to find a way for the deep application of all these data. As a result, the concept of digital twin has aroused much concern and is developing rapidly. Digital twins facilitate to monitor, understand, and optimize the functions of all physical entities and for humans and also provide continuous feedback to improve quality of life and well-being. Digital Twin is best described as the effortless integration of data between a physical and virtual machine in either direction. This paper provides an overview of the Digital Twin technology used in different work spaces and also how it will be effective in the Internet of Things network.

Abstract

PT XYZ is one of the most company which produce welded steel pipe in Indonesia such as longitudinal and spiral pipes. In order to meet consumer’s demand, this company faced with an obstacle namely the distortion of information in supply chain. Distortion of information from downstream to upstream channel causes the difference between the product demand from consumer to PT XYZ and order of raw materials from PT XYZ to the supplier which is called the bullwhip effect. The objective of this research is to calculate the value of bullwhip effect as well as designing improvements to minimize the bullwhip effect. Based on the research results, obtained the index value of bullwhip effect on longitudinal pipe products is 1.06 and the index value of bullwhip effect on spiral pipe products is 0.80. The improvement design to minimize the phenomenon of bullwhip effect is to build an integrated information system for the customer, manufacturer, and supplier. The method that is used to improve the index value of bullwhip effect is Monte Carlo simulation. Monte Carlo simulation is used to obtain the order number of raw materials in order to approach the number of consumer’s demand. After applying the Monte Carlo simulation, obtained the index value of bullwhip effect on longitudinal pipe product is 1.01 and the index value of bullwhip effect on spiral pipe products is 1.00. It can be concluded that the use of Monte Carlo simulation had been optimizing the index value of bullwhip effect amounted to 4.71% for longitudinal pipe products and 25% for spiral pipe products.

Abstract

Soft soil is a type of soil that is difficult to use in construction because it has low bearing capacity and slow settlement due to its fine grain size. In statistics, the relationship or correlation between two data can be predicted using mathematical formulas to find out how much the two data can influence each other. Most of the soil on the surface of the city of Pontianak is dominated by soft soil, so it is important to know how much the coefficient of consolidation and coefficient of permeability can influence each other. From the results of the regression and correlation calculations, the relationship between the permeability coefficient and the consolidation coefficient for the combination of original soil and sand mixed soil is y = 674.7x + 0.0003 with a value of r = 0.4834. The relationship between the permeability coefficient and the original soil consolidation coefficient is y = 321.4x + 0.0003 with a value of r = 0.4173. The relationship between the coefficient of permeability and the coefficient of consolidation of the sand mixed soil is y = 1295.5x + 0.0003 with a value of r = 0.7994. from the experimental results it can be concluded that there is a significant influence between the value of the permeability coefficient and the consolidation coefficient.

Abstract

This research was conducted in Pesisir Barat Regency. This study aims to calculate the estimated potential gold mineral content Gold is formed as a result of the residual solution of magma being uplifted and deposited at high temperatures and pressures. The gold mineral in this area is a ) low sulphidation hydrothermal gold deposit epithermal type (in the form of quartz veins, with carrier minerals containing metals and non-metals. This research uses resistivity method. Interpretation is done by analyzing the resistivity 2D cross section. The interpretation of the gold mineralization zone is associated with the source rock (volcanic) which has a resistivity value of 500Ω.m. Based on resistivity modeling, assuming the source rock is an andesitic-basaltic igneous rock with a density of 2.8 g/cm3 and a maximum depth of 30 meters, it is estimated that the mineral content (Au) in this research location is in the range of (0,3 – 1,5) tons.

Abstract

Based on data from IAMSA in 2019, prior to the COVID-19 pandemic, the volume of aircraft maintenance spending from airlines in Indonesia was around US$ 1.2 billion. Of the spending volume, only about 35% can be absorbed by MRO Indonesia. MRO Indonesia has targeted in the next 5 years it can absorb around 70% of aircraft maintenance expenditures in Indonesia. The purpose of this paper is to build a roadmap for the aircraft maintenance industry in Indonesia. A road map is a guide that is used as directions/navigation to reach the desired target. The development of a roadmap for the aircraft maintenance industry in Indonesia is carried out by taking into account the current condition of Indonesia's MRO and future Indonesia’s MRO targets in absorbing aircraft maintenance spending in terms of the 4 main pillars of the MRO industry, namely quality, human resources, infrastructure and supply chain. In terms of quality, it is necessary to increase the level of Indonesian MRO certification to the level of international standards (AS 9110, EASA, FAA). In terms of human resources, it is necessary to increase the number of licensed technicians by collaborating between MRO and vocational education institutions. In terms of infrastructure and supply chain, it is necessary to build hangars and workshops that have an integrated aircraft maintenance center facility 'one stop solution'/aerospace park. The strengthening of the four pillars is carried out gradually and continuously according to priorities to form a roadmap for the aircraft maintenance industry in Indonesia.

Abstract

This research is about coconut fiber material which has the potential to wall cover and the relationship between temperature and time of coconut fiber material in reducing temperature. The wall, as one of the building envelopes, endures high sun radiation. It needs the wall material that can reduce temperature to ensure thermal comfort inside the building. Gaining building thermal comfort requires architecture, knowledge, and skills as well as innovation. Lowering temperature in the room can be done through wall modifications so that it can lessen the use of air-con. Thus, research on the use of natural materials such as coconut fiber for walls is needed. This study is using an experimental approach. The coconut fiber was tested to measure the temperature reduction and study its linear equations from the relation between temperature and time given. The analysis is comparing two materials: (1) the mix of cement and sand without coconut fiber; (2) The mix of cement and coconut fiber material. The tests’ procedures are applying heat temperature to the side of the material and measuring the resulting absorbed temperature on the other side of both materials. Both of the material were exposed to 35°C heat temperature for 150 minutes. The materials are set in a box. The tests use 3 thermal sensors are T1, T2 and T3 and one heater. This heater is connected to the power source and a device to control the temperature given called Ts controller. The test shows different results between the temperature of material with coconut fiber and material without coconut fiber. The coconut fiber material has a lower temperature than that of without coconut fiber. The linear equation of the coconut fiber material related to the time and temperature shows the longer time, the lower the temperature is. Thus, it indicates the potential of coconut fiber material used as cover for building walls.
