Abstract

Technology and education are essential concepts in the current world. The societies of the world are heading towards technology and education very rapidly. Both the concepts indicate the hasty development taking place everywhere. The progress in the field of technology and education can be taken as a sign of growth in a particular society. The present study aims at explaining the use of smartphone applications to improve English language skills and translation and vocabulary improvement. This paper also seeks to demonstrate the significant role played by smartphone applications amid the COVID-19 pandemic. Through the present study, it has been demonstrated that smartphone applications aid in improving language skills, translation, and enriching vocabulary. Moreover, smartphone applications have been used virally amid the COVID-19 pandemic. They have a significant role in online teaching and learning. They act as a personal teacher who works 24/7.

Abstract

In 2020 Indonesia has become home to the outbreak of the pandemic that occurred in Wuhan. The pandemic, known as COVID-19, has not only attacked this country but all countries in the world. The spread of COVID-19 has had an unfavorable effect on all sectors of life, including education. Educational institutions have been paralyzed by moving learning that was originally carried out in schools and higher education institutions being transferred to homes. Students, students and students study and do activities at home following the ban on gathering outside the home. This situation requires teachers, especially in elementary schools, to adapt themselves and their environment to new situations. Teachers are forced to get acquainted with various online learning applications such as Zoom meating, goggle meating and several other applications. Teachers are required to be more innovative in creating online learning spaces that are more interesting and not boring. This effort is made so that students are motivated to learn so that their achievement does not decrease due to the pandemic situation.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the role of teachers and parents in online learning in the Covid-19 situation of Class VI SD Laboratorium UNG. This research is a descriptive qualitative method by using case study research, and the sample was taken by stratified random sampling with number of samples was 20 respondents. The process of collecting data was done through observation, interviews, questionnaires and documentation. The results of the study show the role of teachers and parents in online learning during the Covid-19 situation has a very important influence. The role of teacher as a motivator, innovator and evaluator during online learning in the COVID-19 pandemic situation. The role of parents in supporting online learning by providing facilities, accompanying and directly supervising their children during the learning process at home. Online learning makes parents closer, knowing the character and learning outcomes of students

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to improve student learning outcomes through the application of the talking stick cooperative learning model in social studies class IV at SDN 11 Limboto Barat. This type of research is Classroom Action Research. In the initial observation, there were 15 students who completed 54%. After the first cycle of action was carried out, it increased to 21 students who completed 75%, who had not completed 7 students or 25%. The implementation of the second cycle that was completed increased by 26 students, 93% and those who had not completed 2 students or 7%. Based on the results of the research conducted, it can be concluded that the talking stick cooperative learning model can improve student learning outcomes in social studies learning in class IV SDN 11 Limboto Barat.

Abstract

A teacher must not only be excellent at teaching, but also have a wide knowledge base, be smart, and be able to interact with students effectively. Pedagogic competence, social competence, personality competence, and professional competence are the four qualities that teachers must demonstrate in order to be effective in their roles. The teaching profession is a unique sphere of employment that necessitates the use of professional standards. Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Al-Khairat is one of the several Madrasas that operate under the auspices of the Ministry of Religion of the North Bolaang Mongondow Regency. It is located in the village of Ibtidaiyah Al-Khairat. Faculty members' professional talents are intended to be improved via academic supervision provided by the madrasah's administrator.

Abstract

This study aims to determine: (1) Differences in science learning outcomes for students who are given assignments individually and students who are given assignments in groups, (2) The effect of the interaction between the assignment method and student learning behavior on science learning outcomes, (3) Differences in results learning science between students who are given assignments individually and students who are given assignments in groups, for students who behave introverted, (4) Differences in science learning outcomes between students who are given assignments individually and students who are given assignments in groups, for students who behave extroverted. This research was conducted at SDN 1 Bone Raya using the 2 x 2 factorial design method. The results showed that: (1) there were differences in science learning outcomes for students who were assigned individual assignments and students who were assigned group assignments. This can be seen from the average score of Science Learning Outcomes, where XA1 = 17.50 is higher than XA2 = 15.33, (2) there is an interaction effect between the assignment method and learning behavior on science learning outcomes, (3 ) there are differences in learning outcomes. Science between students who were given assignments individually and students who were given assignments in groups for students who behaved introverted, as seen from the average score of science learning outcomes, where XA1B1 = 21.73 was greater than XA2B1 = 13.

Abstract

The goal of the study is to increase students' writing skills in descriptive writings by incorporating realia media into the classroom. The study makes use of action research in the classroom (CAR). In this study, the tool of investigation is the Test and Observation Sheet. The outcome of the investigation. The study discovered that using realia media may help students enhance their writing skills while producing descriptive texts. It is possible to draw the conclusion that there has been an improvement based on the results of the study that was conducted in two cycles (cycle I and cycle II). After being educated via the use of realia media, the student's ability to write descriptive language improves significantly. The use of realia as a medium for improving students' ability to write descriptive texts proved to be quite beneficial. According to the significant result percentage of students score in the pre-test (14 percent), cycle I (43 percent), and cycle II (50 percent), it was supported (81 percent ).

Abstract

This article provides solutions to some divisibility problems using Fermat's little theorem. To have beautiful solutions for each of those problems, mathematicians have combined knowledge of: Theory of divisibility and division with remainder, greatest common divisor, least common multiple, prime numbers, congruences, exponentiation, etc. This helps students think positively and flexibly about their existing knowledge and skills, and present concise and creative solutions.

Abstract

The goal of this research is to investigate students' impressions of the speech function used in a bilingual classroom. The descriptive qualitative method was chosen as the research strategy in this study. The pupils' impressions of speech function were documented by the observation technique. This comprises field notes, interviewing subjects, and taking notes. Transcription, categorization, and conclusion are all phases in data analysis. The outcomes of this research indicate that students have a favorable opinion of the speech functions utilized in the bilingual class system at Muhammadiyah University of Makassar's department of social politics. And that the employment of poetic and phatic functions in the classroom has an influence on the students' capacity to communicate successfully.
