Abstract

The understanding of mathematical concepts is highly essential for students in mathematics learning. This is because mathematics is a subject that involves numerous concepts. Conceptual understanding relates to the ability to comprehend comprehensive and functional mathematical ideas. This research aims to investigate students' mathematical conceptual understanding in the context of relations and functions. The research is of a qualitative nature with a descriptive approach. The subjects of this study consist of 25 eighth-grade students from the Granada class at SMP IT Sungai Penuh. The results of the study reveal that students face challenges in applying mathematical problem-solving concepts and developing necessary conditions in the context of relations and functions. In conclusion, students possess a "Satisfactory" level of mathematical conceptual understanding in the domain of relations and functions)

Abstract

T This research aims to improve mathematics learning outcomes through the STAD type cooperative model for class II students at SDN Bantul. This research uses the STAD model assisted by BEKAPANG media. This research is classroom action research (PTK) which consists of 2 cycles. Each cycle consists of planning, observation, and reflection. The subjects in this research were 28 class II students consisting of 15 boys and 13 girls. The object of this research is improving learning outcomes for class II students at SD N Bantul Timur. Data collection techniques include test sheets and observations. Based on the research results, there were 20 students out of 28 students who had not reached the KKM score (75) before implementing the STAD type cooperative learning model assisted by BEKAPANG media in the mathematics subject of subtraction material. Student learning outcomes increased after the learning process in cycle I with learning outcomes of 71.41%. In cycle II students had learning outcomes of 92.85%, so there was an increase in students. So it can be concluded that the mathematics learning process through the STAD model assisted by BEKAPANG media has been successfully used to improve student learning outcomes.

Abstract

The learning process in the campus environment must be the concern of every lecturer. The learning process must facilitate students to achieve the expected competencies. The aims of this research are (1) to analyze the learning process to find out whether the learning process in the Mathematics Education Study Program is student centered or still lecturer centered; (2) to describe the activities carried out by students during the learning process. The research instrument was a video recording during the learning process which was analyzed using Transcript Based Learning Analysis (TBLA). Based on the results of the analysis, it is known that the learning process in the Mathematics Education Study Program provides presentation opportunities for students who have been divided into several groups to deliver learning material. In this presentation session, learning was student centered. Students looked active, conversations were dominated by students, and there was reciprocal discussion between the group of students presenting and other students. The next session is a group discussion session. In this session there was interaction between lecturers and students, but the lecturer seemed more dominant because he had to answer questions from students from several groups who did not understand the worksheets given. Students are seen asking and responding to questions from the lecturer.

Abstract

T This research aims to determine the effectiveness of using geoboard learning media in mathematics learning about the circumference and area of flat shapes carried out in class 3 at SDN 2 Guyangan, namely by increasing student learning outcomes. This type of research is experimental research with a Pre-Experimental Design One-Group Pretest-Posttest design. using three treatments. The population is all 19 class 3 students, then the sample used a saturated sample model which was also taken from all 19 class 3 students. The data collection instrument in this study used a mathematics test in class 3, which resulted in the following results: studying using geoboard media obtained an average score of 79.79 and without using geoboard media obtained an average score of 43.58. The difference in average value before using and after using the media is 36.21. paired sample t-test obtained t-value = 9.456. At the real significance level = 0.05, the t-table value = 2.101 with df = 18. This shows that t-count > t-table, so that H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted. This shows that there are differences in learning outcomes before and after using geoboard media and shows that geoboard media is effective in the mathematics learning outcomes of class 3 students at SDN 2 Guyangan.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan media puzzle math terhadap keterampilan motorik halus siswa di UPTD. SD Negeri 014672 Tanjung Alam semester ganjil tahun ajaran 2023/2024. Jenis penelitian ini adalah quasi eksperimen dengan desain penelitian two group pre-test dan post-test. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa di UPTD. SD Negeri 014672 Tanjung Alam. Adapun sampel dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 42 siswa yang terdiri dari kelas II A sebagai kelas eksperimen dengan jumlah 21 siswa dan kelas II B sebagai kelas kontrol dengan jumlah 2. Sebelum dilaksanakan pembelajaran, nilai rata-rata pretes kelas eksperimen 73,46 dan nilai rata-rata pretes kelas kontrol 70,92. Setelah penerapan pembelajaran menggunakan medua puzzle math, diperoleh nilai rata-rata postes kelas eksperimen 85,61 dan nilai rata-rata postes kelas kontrol 73,69. Selanjutnya dilakukan pengujian hipotesis dengan uji-t, hasil uji-t diperoleh thitung = 4,17 > ttabel = 2,072 maka Ha diterima dengan demikian diperoleh kesimpulan bahwa terdapat Pengaruh penggunaan media puzzle math terhadap keterampilan motorik siswa di UPTD. Abstract

Matematika memiliki peran krusial dalam pengembangan ilmu pengetahuan, terutama dalam konteks pendidikan dasar. Salah satu materi penting dalam matematika adalah bilangan pecahan, yang sering dianggap sulit oleh siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas penggunaan media puzzle matematika pada materi bilangan pecahan dalam meningkatkan kemandirian belajar siswa kelas 2 di SD Negeri Ngabeyan 01. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian kuantitatif dengan desain pre-experimental. Data dikumpulkan melalui tes pretest dan posttest serta nontes berupa wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Analisis data menggunakan uji-t (wilcoxom signed rank test), SPSS 25. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan signifikan dalam kemandirian belajar siswa setelah diberikan perlakuan menggunakan media puzzle matematika. Rata-rata nilai pretest adalah 34, sedangkan rata-rata nilai posttest meningkat menjadi 92,67. Uji wilcoxom signed rank test menghasilkan nilai signifikansi sebesar 0,001, menunjukkan perbedaan yang signifikan antara pretest dan posttest. Berdasarkan temuan ini, dapat disimpulkan bahwa penggunaan media puzzle matematika efektif dalam meningkatkan kemandirian belajar siswa pada materi bilangan pecahan di kelas 2 SD Negeri Ngabeyan 01. Oleh karena itu, dari hasil penelitian ini diharapkan menjadi salah satu acuan dalam pembelajaran untuk menciptakan lingkungan belajar yang inovatif dan menyenangkan, terutama dalam mengatasi kesulitan siswa dalam memahami konsep bilangan pecahan.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya kemampuan berpikir kritis mahasiswa dalam menyelesaikan soal HOTS dan kurangnya self-regulated learning dalam mengikuti perkuliahan Pengantar Dasar Matematika. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis kemampuan berpikir kritis mahasiswa dalam menyelesaikan soal HOTS ditinjau dari self-regulated learning. Penelitian ini menggunakan metodologi kualitatif dengan menggunakan teknik deskriptif. Subjek penelitian ini adalah 30 mahasiswa Pendidikan Matematika FKIP Universitas Muhammadiyah Tangerang yang telah mendapatkan materi bilangan bulat pada mata kuliah Pengantar Dasar Matematika dan dipilih secara purposive sampling yaitu mahasiswa semester 1 dan 3. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan memberikan angket self-regulated learning, soal HOTS bilangan bulat, dan wawancara. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan 20% mahasiswa memiliki kriteria self-regulated learning tinggi, 63% dengan kriteria sedang, dan 17% memiliki self-regulated learning dengan kriteria rendah. Mahasiswa dengan self-regulated learning tinggi mendapatkan skor rata-rata kemampuan berpikir kritis 3,06 dari 4, mahasiswa dengan self-regulated learning sedang mendapatkan skor rata-rata 3,20 dan 2,88 untuk mahasiswa dengan self-regulated learning rendah. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan berpikir kritis tidak selalu berhubungan dengan self-regulated learning.

Abstract

This aim of the research to determine the effectiveness of the scaffolding learning strategy on mathematical problem solving abilities at UPTD SMPN 1 Sekampung Udik. The research method used is quantitative with a quasi-experimental type. The sampling technique used cluster sampling involving 7 classes so that class VIII C was obtained as an experimental class using scaffolding learning with a number of students, namely 30 and class VIII D as a control class using expository learning with a number of students, namely 29. This research instrument used ability test questions. mathematical problem solving, observation sheets, and interview guide sheets, as well as all instruments have been validated. Data collection techniques use tests, observations, and interviews as well as using data analysis techniques in the form of normality tests, homogeneity tests, and t-tests. Based on the results of research and hypothesis testing using the t-test, the results showed that tcount = 3.02 > ttable = 2.00247, meaning that the mathematical problem solving abilities of those who received scaffolding learning were higher than those who received expository learning. Thus it is concluded that the scaffolding learning strategy is effective on mathematical problem solving abilities at UPTD SMPN 1 Sekampung Udik.

Abstract

The ability to solve mathematical problems at SMP Negeri 1 Kibang is still relatively low, this is proven by test data show that 61.76% of students were able to understand the problem, 35.29% planned problem solving, 26.47% carried out problem solving, 0% checked again. The aim of this research is to determine the effect of the PBL model with the scaffolding method on the ability to solve mathematics problems in class VIII at SMP Negeri 1 Kibang. This type of research is a quasi-experiment with Post-TestOnly Control Design. This research was carried out at SMPN 1 Kibang with a population of 7 classes of class VIII students and the sample in this research was two classes taken using cluster random sampling. Before the instrument is used, its validity and reliability are first tested. The data collection method in this research uses a test method with test questions in the form of 5 essay questions. The data analysis used is a t-test where before carrying out the t-test it is necessary to carry out a prerequisite test analysis, namely the normality test and homogeneity test. Based on the results of the research and discussion, it was obtained that the value tcount > ttable or 4.90>2.003, it can be concluded that there is an influence of the PBL learning model with the scaffolding method on students' mathematical problem solving abilities at SMP Negeri 1 Kibang for the 2022/2023 academic year.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji etnomatematika dalam permainan tradisional gobak sodor pada konsep-konsep matematika di tingkat Sekolah Dasar seperti bangun datar, operasi bilangan, hubungan antar garis, konsep kekongruenan dan penyajian serta pengolahan data. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan etnografi untuk memperoleh gambaran analisis secara mendalam tentang suatu budaya berdasarkan hasil observasi, wawancara, dokumentasi dan catatan lapangan. Penelitian ini menggunakan analisis data triangulasi yang terdiri dari reduksi data, penyajian data dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukan terdapat unsur-unsur matematika sekolah dasar dalam permainan gobak sodor berupa bangun datar, operasi bilangan, hubungan antar garis, konsep kekongruenan dan penyajian serta pengolahan data. Dengan adanya permainan tradisional dalam pembelajaran matematika dapat memberikan manfaat yaitu memvisualisasikan pembelajaran matematika dalam bentuk nyata sehingga siswa lebih mudah memahami konsep-kansep matematika.
