Abstract

This study was conducted to determine the efficacy of the dubbing method on the speaking ability of eleventh-grade SMAN 8 SAMARINDA students. This research is related to the findings of previous studies, which continue to indicate that many students lack adequate speaking skills. This study employs experimental research to determine whether the dubbing method is effective or ineffective for teaching students how to communicate. The study was conducted six times, once during each of the pre- and post-tests and four times during the experiment. The obtained data is based on the pre- and post-test scores of the students. The author concludes, based on the research conducted, that the use of the dubbing method in learning is effective in enhancing students' speaking skills, as indicated by their test scores. Furthermore, the calculation of the paired sample t-test reveals a significant effect, as indicated by the sig value. 0.01 0.05, therefore Ho is rejected, so it can be inferred that the dubbing method is effective on the speaking ability of SMA Negeri 8 Samarinda eleventh graders.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi oleh perpasca pandemilahan yang menunjukkan bahawa siswa kelas III di SDN 15 Maripi mengalami kesulitan belajar yang menghambat proses belajar siswa yaitu membaca, menulis dan berhitung pada pasca pandemi Covid-19, karena selama pasca pandemi covid-19 siswa hanya mengambil tugas di sekolah dan mengerjakan di rumah secara mandiri. Ada pun tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui peran guru kelas dalam mengatasi kesulitan belajar siswa pada pasca pandemi di kelas III SDN 15 Maripi dan untuk mendeskripsikan faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi kesulitan belajar siswa pasca pandemi di kelas III SDN 15 Maripi. Penelitian ini menggunakan jenis penelitian kualitatif dengan metode pengumpulan data yaitu observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Penulis melakukan wawancara dengan informen mengenai Peran guru kelas dalam mengatasi kesulitan belajar siswa pada pasca pandemi di kelas III SD Negeri 15 Maripi Manokwari. Rancangan penelitian menggunakan studi kasus. Dari hasil penelitian yang telah dilakukan dapat disimpulkan perubahan sistem belajar siswa yang dilaksanakan secara luring membuat siswa mengalami berbagai kesulitan dalam belajar seperti kesulitan dalam membaca, menulis dan berhitung. Untuk mengatasi kesulitan belajar siswa, guru dapat berperan dalam membimbing, mengajar dan melatih siswa saat belajar dengan upaya yang di lakukan yaitu guru memberikan jam tambahan belajar, memberikan tugas persuku kata agar siswa mau belajar secara mandiri, serta memberikan dorongan berupa motivasi agar siswa termotivasi dan giat dalam belajar. Dan ada pun faktor penyebab kesulitan belajar yaitu faktor internal dan eksternal.

Abstract

This study evaluates implementing the Cooperative Learning learning model in Indonesian language learning in grade IV MIN Jayapura City. The research method used was graderoom action research consisting of two cycles. Each cycle includes planning, action, observation, and reflection stages. The research subjects were students of grade IV MIN Jayapura City. Data collection was carried out using observation techniques. The study results show that applying the cooperative learning model in learning Indonesian can increase students' creativity in learning. This increase can be seen from the results of observations, which showed a boost from the first cycle of 75.72% to 85.72% in the second cycle. Based on these data, it can be concluded that the implementation of the Cooperative Learning learning model in Indonesian language learning in grade IV MIN Jayapura City can increase student creativity in learning, as well as provide a more positive learning experience for students.

Abstract

This study aims to describe and analyze the learning process of citizenship education on the subject of Pancasila through cooperative learning models of the charades type which can improve the learning outcomes of class I students at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Negeri 12 Hulu Sungai Selatan. This research is a Classroom Action Research (PTK) which is carried out collaboratively between teachers and researchers. The subjects of this study were first grade students at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Negeri 12 Hulu Sungai Selatan, which consisted of 14 students, consisting of 6 male students and 8 female students. Data was collected through observation, interviews, documentation and tests.This research consisted of two cycles, namely Cycle I and Cycle II. The results showed that the use of the charades type cooperative learning model was effective in increasing student interest and achievement in the subject of Citizenship Education. This can be seen from the increase in the percentage of students' interest in the sound of Pancasila material during learning, namely 33.33% in the less category in the pre-cycle, 50% in the medium category in cycle I, and 90% in the very good or high category in cycle II. This shows that the charades type cooperative learning model has a positive effect on increasing student learning outcomes in Civics learning. It can be concluded that there is an increase in each research cycle based on the results obtained.

Abstract

This research aimed to address the inadequate writing skills of fifth-grade students at MIN 3 Barito Kuala in Indonesian language class. Teachers faced challenges in selecting suitable learning media to achieve desired learning targets. The study implemented Classroom Action Research, focusing on fifth-grade students at MIN 3 Barito Kuala in South Kalimantan. Data collection involved observation sheets for teachers and students, as well as tests. The findings revealed that the use of visual aids in learning to write pantun positively impacted the teachers' activities, students' activities, and learning outcomes. Teacher activities improved from 81% (good) in cycle I to 92% (very good) in cycle II, indicating enhanced quality of the learning process. Student activities also improved significantly, increasing from 71% (good) in cycle I to 95% (very good) in cycle II, demonstrating increased participation and engagement. Moreover, student learning outcomes significantly improved, with completion rates increasing from 40% in cycle I to 90% in cycle II. Thus, it can be concluded that the effective application of visual aids enhances Indonesian language learning, particularly in the subject of pantun.

Abstract

This study aims to describe and analyze the social studies learning process using the concept of environmental maps for class IV students of MIN 11 Banjar. The research adopts a classroom action research approach conducted collaboratively between teachers and supervisors. The research subjects consist of 13 students from class IV of MIN 11 Banjar. The data collection methods employed in this study include interviews, observations, and tests. The research is conducted in two cycles: cycle 1 and cycle 2. The results indicate that the implementation of the concept of environmental maps in social studies learning has a positive impact on learning outcomes. The initial assessment conducted prior to the research implementation reveals a noticeable improvement in the learning outcomes after the utilization of environmental maps. Environmental maps serve as effective teaching tools in social studies, providing visual representations of the relationships between geographical features, human activities, and their impact on the environment. Through the utilization of these maps, students are able to develop a deeper understanding of the subject matter and establish connections between various elements in their surroundings. The concept of environmental maps encourages students to explore and analyze their local environment, nurturing a sense of place and fostering critical thinking skills. By engaging in interactive discussions and hands-on activities, students become active participants in the learning process, resulting in increased engagement and enhanced learning outcomes. Moreover, the collaborative nature of this research, involving both teachers and supervisors, contributes to the quality of the learning environment. The close cooperation between educators facilitates the sharing of knowledge, expertise, and instructional strategies, ultimately benefiting the students' learning experience. In conclusion, this study highlights the positive effects of integrating environmental maps in social studies learning for class IV students of MIN 11 Banjar. The utilization of environmental maps significantly enhances learning outcomes. The findings underscore the importance of employing innovative teaching methods, such as environmental maps, to enhance students' understanding and engagement in the learning process.

Abstract

In this era, there are changes in the behavior of the younger generation. Many students are engaging in promiscuity, smoking, consuming alcoholic, bullying, and using prohibited drugs. School efforts are needed to changes these negative behavioral. One of effort is through the Islamic personal development program. This Islamic development program emphasizes on Nurturing. Development, etymologically derived from the Arabic language "bana" it is means to nurture, build, or establish. This program is specifically focused on Islamic development because an Islamic personality cannot be inherited and is not formed instantly, but it's something that needs to be built, cultivated continuously day by day through thoughts and actions, thought by thought, action by action.

Abstract

This research aims to know the students’ attitudes and self-efficacy toward the use of mobile phones as a means of learning a language. Descriptive quantitative was used in this research to address the stated questions. Seventy-three samples were taken at the English Education Department by using a stratified random sampling technique. The instrument used was only a questionnaire with close-ended questions, which contained a 5-point scale. The researcher collected data using a questionnaire adapted and modified from previous studies. The researcher did a pilot study to try out a certain research instrument to check the validity and reliability of the questionnaire. After collecting the data, the data is analyzed using descriptive statistics. This research found that the students’ attitudes towards mobile phones as a means for learning a language were found with an overall percentage is 78.6%. The students’ self-efficacy was also reported as having an overall percentage of 80.9%. It summed up that students had positive attitudes toward the potential of mobile phones that help them keep great at solving problems faced in learning a language. Despite that, the high level of self-efficacy in utilizing mobile phones for learning purposes revealed that students could face any problem for learning the languages even had to use mobile phones

Abstract

Comics have become one of the most influential media in popular culture in Indonesia. The comic Nusa Five by Sweta Kartika is a prominent example of this, incorporating elements of Indonesian culture into its character designs. This research aims to conduct an in-depth analysis of the design of the main characters in the comic Nusa Five to understand how arts education and visual communication play a role in creating characters that reflect the diversity of Indonesian culture. Character design analysis was carried out using a qualitative approach which involved observing the shapes, colors, textures and expressions of the characters in the comic Nusa Five. Data were analyzed to identify ways in which arts education and visual communication influence character formation. The results of the analysis show that art education provides a strong understanding of the use of visual elements to create unique and interesting characters. Meanwhile, visual communication strengthens visual narratives and conveys deep messages to readers. Even though there are some weaknesses in character design, arts education and visual communication remain an important foundation in creating strong and cohesive characters that reflect Indonesian culture. With a better understanding of the principles of visual art and design, Indonesian artists and designers can continue to produce work that respects and well represents the archipelago's cultural diversity.

Abstract

A country known for its high level of pluralism is Indonesia. This can be likened to a double-edged sword, not only has the potential for progress, but also the potential for decline, this depends on the quality of its human resources. Of course, this shows how important multicultural education is in Indonesia. This research aims to explore the basic concepts of policy and implementation of multicultural education, as well as refreshing the urgency of multicultural education in Indonesia. The method used is literature study which involves collecting and analyzing information from written sources relevant to the research topic without conducting direct research. The research results identify the core principles of multicultural policy, implementation strategies, and their positive impact on inclusion and cross-cultural understanding in the educational environment. This research provides in-depth insight into the basic concepts of multicultural education policy and provides guidance for policy makers and educational practitioners to strengthen inclusion and diversity in educational institutions.
