Abstract

One form of alternative tourism that is based on nature conservation and empowerment of local communities is village tourism, where the tourism development process carried out is based on exploring the potential of existing resources in the village along with empowering local communities. On this basis, the Indonesian government has begun to intensify the development of tourist villages since the last decade to address alternative tourism activities. The existence of efforts to develop tourist villages is also motivated by the government's desire to empower and improve the economy of village communities where there are still many villages that have the status of underdeveloped villages. This research approach uses a qualitative descriptive approach. This is because this research procedure produces descriptive data in the form of written or spoken words from people and observable behavior. There is a suitability or link between integrated marketing communication strategies and the increase in the number of tourist visits to South Sulawesi after the Covid-19 pandemic. Steps to restore the number of tourist visits to South Sulawesi through organizing tourism events, direct marketing and targeted publications, are the leading steps for the South Sulawesi culture and tourism department to attract tourists to South Sulawesi. Synergy and collaboration from all tourism stakeholders starting from the government, media, business world, universities and communities/society are the keys to the revival of tourism in South Sulawesi.

Abstract

Rivers as a crucial element in the hydrological system provide water for various human, agricultural, industrial and ecosystem needs. However, natural phenomena such as erosion and sedimentation can threaten the stability of rivers and the surrounding environment. This study outlines the impacts of sedimentation on the Bailang River and Sario River, highlighting the importance of hydrological and geomorphological approaches in understanding sediment transport patterns. Land conversion along the Bailang River has caused narrowing of the river channel and sedimentation, increasing the risk of flooding. Hydrological analysis shows that changes in water discharge and rainfall influence sediment transport in the Bailang River. In the Sario River, flooding and erosion affect river morphology, with large water discharges being the main cause of flooding. The hydrological approach considers factors such as water discharge and rainfall, while the geomorphological approach considers landforms, topography and river flow patterns. The analysis shows that interactions between hydrological and geomorphological factors influence sediment transport patterns in both rivers. The results of this research provide an in-depth understanding of sediment transport patterns in the Bailang River and Sario River. The implications include planning effective river management strategies, mitigating erosion, sedimentation and flood risk, as well as better spatial planning in riverbank areas. The contribution of this research is important for sustainable river management and environmental protection. Understanding sediment transport patterns provides the basis for developing more effective erosion and sedimentation mitigation strategies, with the aim of minimizing their negative impacts on rivers and their environment.

Abstract

The children will be given the next generation who will be competent in advancing the nation, so it is hoped that the children will continue to have good qualities as they grow up. In this modern age, the presence of electronic systems provides an incentive for children to explore themselves further in their growth. However, in addition to having a good impact, electronic systems can also have a negative impact on children when they access features or contents that they should not have access to. Later, with the passage of time, Act No. 1 of 2024 was enacted, which stipulates in Article 16A that electronic system providers, on their features and contents, must provide age warnings for access, verification, and reporting mechanisms for misuse of access to electronic systems. This study is aimed at studying whether it is in accordance with the teaching of maqa>s{id asy-syari>’ah. So in this study, the researchers use the study of library research with a normative approach. As for the results of the study in this research, the load of Article 16A of Law No. 1 of 2024 is inherent with the doctrine of maqa>s{id asy-syari>’ah in the h{ifz{ al-‘aql and h{ifz{ an-nasl, because by limiting his child's access to electronic systems, he will be prevented from accessing features or contents to which he should not have access, so the child's growth will continue to wake up.

Abstract

The Marisa watershed with an area of 248.43 km2 is one of the watersheds in the Paguyaman Watershed. The upstream area of the Marisa Taluduyunu River in Marisa District empties into the coastal waters of the south coast of Pohuwato Regency. Almost all the riverbanks are used by local communities for traditional gold mining. Some of these mining businesses are managed traditionally using mercury, and the waste produced without being managed is directly thrown into the environment. This research aims to analyze the impact of illegal mining on land and the Marisa watershed. The method used to analyze the data is descriptive qualitative based on field observation data and literature studies. Observations from various mining locations show that the removal of the topsoil causes the soil to be unproductive for plant growth around the mining location or site. River pollution is also one of the impacts that can be seen at mining locations. Gold ore processing, especially if the amalgamation process uses mercury, spreads mercury to environmental components, especially water quality and aquatic biota. The water quality that is most affected by mining and gold ore processing activities includes increased concentrations of suspended solids and mercury concentrations. The impact of traditional gold mining activities greatly affects the water quality components, namely, total suspended solids and dissolved mercury concentration. The concentration of total suspended solids poses a risk of harm to aquatic organisms. Concentrations of dissolved mercury metal have the potential to reduce the quality of fishery products.

Abstract

This paper examines the intricate relationship between human rights and religious freedom within the context of national law in Indonesia. Despite the constitutional guarantees provided by the 1945 Constitution and Law No. 39 of 1999 on Human Rights, which affirm the right to religious freedom as a fundamental human right, significant challenges persist for minority religious groups. The findings indicate that while Indonesia is committed to pluralism and diversity, local regulations and societal norms often undermine these principles, resulting in discrimination and violence against minority faiths such as the Ahmadiyyah and Baha'i communities. The introduction of new legal frameworks, including a revised criminal code that expands blasphemy laws, poses additional threats to religious freedom, raising concerns about the potential for increased repression of minority religions. This study highlights the need for comprehensive legal reforms to align national laws with international human rights standards and promote a culture of tolerance and respect for diversity. Furthermore, it underscores the importance of community engagement and education in fostering interfaith dialogue and understanding among different religious groups. Ultimately, this research contributes to ongoing discussions about the protection of human rights in Indonesia, emphasizing that genuine commitment to pluralism requires not only legal protections but also societal acceptance and respect for all beliefs.
