Abstract

The aim of this research is to determine the existence of the Ammatoa indigenous community within the Kajang society and to identify the factors influencing the existence of the Ammatoa indigenous community within Kajang. The method employed in this research is descriptive method involving observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of this research indicate that in the life of the Ammatoa indigenous community in Tana Toa Village, there are several aspects demonstrating the existence of the Ammatoa indigenous community, namely economic, legal, educational, and cultural aspects within the community. Furthermore, the factors influencing the existence of the Ammatoa indigenous community within Kajang include adaptation factors, goal achievement factors, integration factors, and norm/value factors. The presence of the Ammatoa indigenous community is inseparable from their beliefs, as evidenced by the principle of tallasa kamase-masea (simple living) embodied in the pasang ri kajang. The Ammatoa indigenous community upholds all forms of tradition that have existed since ancient times.

Abstract

This study examines the distribution of political power within the social structure of Karaeng in Jeneponto, South Sulawesi. As a local entity with a strong history of traditional power, Karaeng plays an important role in the social structure, governance, decision-making, policy formulation, and social control. This research aims to understand how political power is distributed by the Karaeng group within the government structure and how this influences the social structure and local political dynamics. A qualitative approach is used in this study, with in-depth interviews and literature review as the primary data collection techniques. The results show that the distribution of political power carried out by Karaeng within the government structure is strongly influenced by factors such as lineage, kinship, social networks, social status, and strong patron-client relationships, all of which contribute to the significant influence of Karaeng in local politics in Jeneponto.

Abstract

The development and use of science should have a positive impact, but occasionally it has a negative impact on society. Ethics is an important aspect in the world of science that plays a key role in guiding human behavior and serves as the foundation for the responsible development and use of knowledge. Therefore, ethical aspects must serve as a guideline for knowledge developers, namely scientists, as well as knowledge users, so that knowledge can bring benefits to humanity.

Abstract

This research analyzes the evolution of social response paradigms to disasters from reactive to proactive approaches through a comprehensive literature review. The research method employs a qualitative approach with literature study techniques to identify driving factors of paradigm change and evaluate its implementation. The results show that paradigm transformation was triggered by several key factors: major disaster experiences such as the 2004 Aceh Tsunami, development of legal and institutional frameworks (Law No. 24 of 2007 and the establishment of BNPB), increased public awareness, and advancements in science and technology. Although the proactive approach has proven effective in reducing disaster impacts, its implementation still faces challenges including gaps between knowledge and practice, lack of integration with development planning, approaches that remain top-down, limited technology adoption, and disparities in regional fiscal capacity. This research contributes to the formulation of more adaptive and sustainable disaster management strategies through recommendations for strengthening participatory approaches, mainstreaming disaster risk reduction in development planning, and developing sustainable funding models for disaster mitigation and preparedness programs.

Abstract

In modern life, education and social mobility are often seen as two interrelated entities, both of which are influenced by aspects of social change and local traditions and wisdom that prevail in a region. This study aims to analyze how education and social mobility are viewed by the community in Soppeng Regency where these phenomena continue to experience dynamics and contextualization in society. This study uses a qualitative approach with the In-Depth Interview technique with various parties, such as students, parents, teachers, and community leaders, to gain insight into how education in Soppeng Regency is in relation to their opportunities to move socially and economically. The analysis was carried out by grouping information based on themes or patterns that emerged from the results of interviews with informants. The results of the study show that the soppeng community views that education is a very important thing in the process of social movement or mobility, education can not only provide skills and improve competence or educational expertise can also develop character and sharpen wisdom which are all part of the occurrence of social mobility in the soppeng community. This research has a great impact on how we view education and social mobility as something dynamic due to social change. The results of this research will provide implications and messages on how we as a society must be wiser and wiser in looking at education and social mobility in an increasingly complex society.

Abstract

Pendidikan gizi dan kesehatan masyarakat memiliki peran penting dalam meningkatkan kualitas hidup individu dan komunitas, terutama di lingkungan sosial yang rentan terhadap masalah kesehatan. Kurangnya pengetahuan tentang pola makan seimbang, sanitasi, dan gaya hidup sehat seringkali menjadi penyebab utama tingginya angka malnutrisi dan penyakit tidak menular. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi efektivitas program pendidikan gizi dan promosi kesehatan dalam meningkatkan kesadaran serta perubahan perilaku masyarakat. Metode yang digunakan mencakup pendekatan kualitatif. Hasil menunjukkan adanya peningkatan signifikan dalam pemahaman masyarakat terhadap pentingnya gizi seimbang dan praktik hidup sehat setelah intervensi dilakukan. Selain itu, faktor lingkungan sosial, seperti dukungan keluarga dan pengaruh media, turut memperkuat motivasi individu dalam menerapkan perilaku sehat. Temuan ini menegaskan pentingnya pendekatan personal dalam edukasi kesehatan sebagai strategi preventif yang efektif dalam meningkatkan kualitas hidup masyarakat.

Abstract

Abstract: Agama merupakan salah satu pengaruh signifikan dalam membentuk landskap politik, kebijakan publik, orientasi politik. Interpretasi dan aplikasi agama. Politik juga dapat memunculkan sikap yang konservatif yang menentang perubahan sosial dan budaya. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode penelitian pustaka (library research) atau penelitian yang menggunakan data pustaka berupa buku atau atau sumber data lainnya. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pengaruh ajaran agama dalam sistem politik dapat berdampak signifikan dalam membentuk dinamika sosial, politik, dan budaya dalam tatanan masyarakat. Penelitian ini menjadi penting untuk dibahas dikarenakan Indonesia merupakan negara yang mayoritas berpegang teguh pada agama, tetapi juga menjadi negara yang demokratis akan politik.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the design, internalization, conformity values, and community involvement in National Defense Education and Training in Makassar City, particularly among street communities. Using a qualitative approach, this study involved street children (parking attendants, pa'ogah, and buskers) with data collection techniques in the form of interviews, observations, and documentation through Focus Group Discussions (FGD). The results show that effective training design must be inclusive and contextual to foster positive conformity, not coercion. The internalization of national defense values is successful through equal interaction, where respondents' self-efficacy and motivation increase when they feel valued. The conformity that is formed is pro-social, manifested in concrete actions such as mutual cooperation and social awareness, born out of consciousness, not obedience. Finally, the active involvement of all levels of society is the key to the success of the program, fostering a sense of collective responsibility and ownership. This study concludes that the internalization of national defense is effective when it is participatory and relevant to social reality

Abstract

Inovasi kurikulum menjadi hal yang sangat penting dalam perkembangan pendidikan di era digital. Pengembangan kurikulum yang adaptif dan responsif terhadap perubahan teknologi dan kebutuhan zaman sangat diperlukan untuk meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan. Artikel ini mengkaji faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi pengembangan kurikulum di era digital, dengan fokus pada kemajuan teknologi informasi dan komunikasi, perubahan kebutuhan masyarakat, serta tuntutan keterampilan masa kini. Inovasi kurikulum harus mencakup prinsip-prinsip relevansi, fleksibilitas, kontinuitas, efisiensi, dan efektivitas agar dapat mendukung perkembangan peserta didik yang kompetitif dan siap menghadapi tantangan global. Selain itu, faktor-faktor penghambat, seperti kurangnya pemahaman pendidik tentang pentingnya inovasi kurikulum dan keterbatasan sumber daya, juga perlu diidentifikasi dan diatasi untuk mencapai pengembangan kurikulum yang optimal. Penelitian ini diharapkan dapat memberikan wawasan dan kontribusi dalam merancang kurikulum yang sesuai dengan tuntutan pendidikan di era digital.

Abstract

Artikel ini membahas pentingnya kolaborasi antara guru dan berbagai pemangku kepentingan dalam pengembangan kurikulum Ilmu Pengetahuan Sosial (IPS) yang efektif dan relevan. Dalam era globalisasi dan kemajuan teknologi, tantangan pendidikan semakin kompleks, sehingga memerlukan pendekatan yang inklusif dan kolaboratif. Keterlibatan guru sebagai praktisi pendidikan yang berinteraksi langsung dengan siswa sangat krusial, karena mereka memiliki pemahaman mendalam tentang karakteristik peserta didik dan tantangan pembelajaran di lapangan.Melalui kolaborasi yang erat, kurikulum IPS dapat dirancang untuk mencakup isu-isu terkini, seperti keberlanjutan lingkungan dan tanggung jawab sosial. Keterlibatan berbagai pemangku kepentingan, termasuk akademisi, praktisi pendidikan, dan komunitas lokal, memungkinkan terjadinya pertukaran perspektif yang kaya, sehingga kurikulum yang dihasilkan lebih adaptif terhadap kebutuhan masyarakat. Pembentukan tim pengembang kurikulum yang inklusif menjadi strategi fundamental untuk memastikan bahwa berbagai sudut pandang dan kebutuhan terakomodasi. Artikel ini juga mengidentifikasi tantangan yang mungkin dihadapi dalam proses kolaborasi, seperti kesenjangan komunikasi dan perbedaan kepentingan antarstakeholder. Solusi untuk mengatasi tantangan ini, termasuk pendekatan berbasis dialog dan perencanaan kolaboratif, akan diuraikan. Dengan pendekatan kolaboratif, diharapkan kurikulum IPS yang dihasilkan tidak hanya kaya dan relevan, tetapi juga mampu membentuk peserta didik yang memiliki pengetahuan, keterampilan, dan karakter yang sesuai dengan tuntutan abad ke-21.Dengan demikian, artikel ini bertujuan untuk memberikan wawasan dan panduan praktis bagi pengembangan kurikulum IPS yang responsif terhadap tantangan dan peluang di era modern.
