Abstract

This research aims to analyze the debt settlement mechanism to third party providers of goods and services as well as the supporting and inhibiting factors of the debt settlement mechanism to third party providers of goods and services. The approach that researchers used in this research was a qualitative approach with a descriptive research strategy. This research was carried out at the North Penajam Paser Regency Government from February to March 2025. The informants in this research were 5 (five) informants. The results of this research show that the mechanism that works in resolving debts from third parties providing goods and services is the process of proposing debt recognition from Regional Work Units, reconciling debt data, and carrying out debt reviews as debt recognition which will be budgeted for in the Amendment to the Regional Revenue and Expenditure Budget. In addition, the Review Results Report becomes a reference for the Regional Financial and Asset Agency to record in the Regional Government Financial Report. Debt settlement will be carried out if the work package owed has been stated and included in the sub-activities in the Amendment to the Regional Revenue and Expenditure Budget for the following year. The supporting factor in resolving debts to third party providers of goods and services is the existence of the Minutes of Debt Reconciliation as an initial reference in the process of resolving debts to third party providers of goods and services, while the inhibiting factor is the absence of regulations in the North Penajam Paser Regency Government at the level of regional head regulations that regulate debt management and the commitment of third parties together with regional work units in terms of completing the required documents for debt settlement.

Abstract

This study aims to explore wedding traditions within Madurese culture, focusing on the values, rituals, and gender roles involved in the marriage process in Mekar Sari Village, Kubu Raya Regency. Madurese wedding traditions hold strong values, where marriage is not only considered a bond between two people but also a form of responsibility to family and society. In this research, the author used a qualitative case study approach, involving interviews with the bride and groom, their families, and traditional leaders, as well as direct observation of the wedding ceremony. The results show that in Madurese weddings, the values of family honor and social unity are highly valued. Wedding rituals are not just about ceremony, but also reflect the relationship between two extended families connected by long-standing traditions. Regarding gender roles, women are generally expected to maintain the family's dignity, while men play a greater role in economic matters and decision-making. However, over time, there has been a gradual shift in the younger generation's perspective on gender roles in marriage, with more couples beginning to discuss equality in their relationships. This research reveals that although Madurese wedding traditions and customs are still highly respected, changes are occurring as new values develop among young people. This demonstrates how culture and traditions can adapt to broader social dynamics while maintaining core values.

Abstract

Smallholder rubber is a leading commodity that plays a vital role in the regional economy, particularly in Mandailing Natal Regency, which is known as one of the main rubber-producing areas in North Sumatra. However, the marketing system for smallholder rubber in this region still faces several structural constraints that significantly affect farmers' income. This article aims to analyze the distribution channels, margin distribution, and marketing efficiency of smallholder rubber in Mandailing Natal using a literature review approach. The data were obtained from various scientific publications, government reports, and agribusiness studies published over the past ten years. The review found two common marketing channel patterns: a long channel (farmers ? local collectors ? wholesalers ? factories) and a short channel (farmers ? wholesalers ? factories). The short channel proves to be more profitable for farmers by reducing intermediaries and increasing marketing efficiency. Additionally, farmers' share of profit margins increases significantly under the short channel. Nonetheless, challenges such as weak farmer institutions, limited market access, and lack of price information remain major obstacles. Therefore, recommended strategies include establishing marketing cooperatives, improving distribution infrastructure, and digitizing price information systems. Enhancing the existing marketing system is expected to improve the welfare of smallholder rubber farmers in Mandailing Natal sustainably.

Abstract

Chicken coops are one of the places where pathogenic microorganisms develop that can cause problems for the health of chickens and the surrounding community, so sterilization efforts are necessary. This study aims to compare the effectiveness of eco enzyme liquid from orange and pineapple peel waste in reducing the number of bacteria in chicken coops. A type of pre-experimental research with a one-shot case study design. The samples in this study are two chicken coop samples that were treated each using orange and pineapple eco enzyme liquid . Data collection was carried out before and after treatment with the pour plate method. The data was analyzed using Paired Sample T-Test and Independent Sample T-Test with an error rate of 5%. The results of this study showed that there was a significant decrease in the number of bacterial colonies in cage A (orange) and cage B (pineapple), with significance values of p=0.002 and p=0.001, respectively. However, the results of the comparison test between cages showed no significant difference in the results after treatment (p=0.967). This shows that both eco enzyme liquids are equally effective in reducing the number of bacteria. It is recommended to test the number of bacteria also on other disinfectants to see how much advantages and disadvantages of eco enzymes are compared to commonly used disinfectants.
