Abstract

One of the problems that often occur in micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in Indonesia is capital. Moreover, during the COVID-19 pandemic, where the limitations of running a business and the limitations of community mobility are unavoidable obstacles that cause business turnover to be hampered. During this problem, an opportunity arose from the development of financial technology (fintech) which offers various solutions, one of which is online financing for businesses. This aims to support existing businesses ranging from capital to operations and business marketing. This is the background for the implementing team for community service activities from the Faculty of Economics and Business, Trisakti University to provide counseling to MSME actors to increase knowledge of this form of fintech. This activity took place on December 20, 2021, by providing counseling to 25 MSME actors assisted by the Palma Sejahtera Foundation located in Palmerah, West Jakarta. From the activity carried out, participants felt that the material provided was interesting, the material was easy to understand, and the material provided could increase knowledge and abilities. The participants also considered that the appointed resource persons had competence with the material presented and could convey the material. Overall, the participants were satisfied with the implementation of this community service activity. In addition, from a brief measurement carried out, MSME actors in these fostered partners still depend on security factors to be able to adopt the fintech platform. In addition, participants are also still dependent on a series of perceived ease-of-use factors for the fintech platform.

Abstract

The protracted COVID-19 pandemic has had an impact on many aspects of people's lives. One of the most noticeable effects is in the business world, where the adaptation of new work patterns and behavior follows government policies, where non-essential offices are encouraged to use the work from home method. This activity, in the form of community service (PKM) via an online webinar using Zoom media, aims to provide information, education, and knowledge to the larger community. Organizational management must invariably quickly and precisely adapt work methods that can be accepted and carried out by employees. On the one hand, this method of working from home has made it possible for workers to work remotely and to do more than one job, or to do multitasking jobs. On the other hand, this method of working from home is consistently proving to be unsuitable for this type of work. In practice, this activity is divided into three sessions: a theoretical presentation of the concept of work behavior by the first speaker; an explanation of adaptation trends and work patterns during a pandemic from scientific publications by the second speaker; and an explanation of how to find trends in novelty and work adaptation by the third speaker. Third-party presenters use dimensions, bibliometrics, and VOSviewer. In addition to the presenters' good mastery of the material, the participants thought the materials and activities provided had good elements of accountability, objectivity, and transparency. Furthermore, the participants thought the material presented to them was of high quality

Abstract

Soft skills or also known as skills are talents that can be developed in training without having to attend formal education. This expertise or skill becomes a basis for opening up opportunities for everyone in doing their business, especially for teenagers or young people who still have a productive age. Even during the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, KPM the Islamic High School Community Service Program DR. KHEZ Muttaqien Purwakarta remains determined with a high spirit of inviting and educating young people to develop their skills so that they can earn money independently. Development of entrepreneurial soft skills so that they can encourage young people to be able to realize and develop abilities that are not possessed by others so that they can provide income from a young age. The targets of this program are teenagers or the younger generation in Salem Village, Pondoksalam District, who have not worked or do not have a job. The method used is socialization to each individual so that the understanding process can be absorbed according to the skills possessed by the teenager. The result of this program is that it can break down the skills or talents possessed by every teenager to become a businessman at a young age, so that it can help ease the burden on parents. In addition, this activity can create high enthusiasm to achieve what you want to aim for in the future without having to think about working in someone else's factory.

Abstract

Vocational learning in Indonesia at the upper secondary level provides a large portion of improving English language skills. Besides being used as a compulsory subject/college in schools and universities, English lessons are studied in the context of vocational education to bridge the world of education with the needs of industry and the workforce on a national, multinational, and international scale. The high need for a competent workforce, which can be seen from the ability to speak English, presents a variety of specific subjects in line with this condition. The subject variant in question is business English or 'business English'. Referring to this condition and examining the need for vocational education, Community Service activities (ABDIMAS) are carried out with the theme 'Introduction to Business English'. ABDIMAS is held at the Almakiyah Vocational High School (SMK) in East Jakarta. ABDIMAS was carried out in response to the needs of partners who felt that the English learning materials did not meet the needs of students and graduates who were required to be absorbed in the world of work. ABDIMAS is carried out through three sessions of a hybrid online and offline enrichment program for students. Each session is taught about what aspects are included in business English and linguistic aspects commonly used in business and work contexts. This activity is oriented towards increasing the knowledge and insight of the participants regarding (i) business conversations, (ii) formal and informal expressions in business communication, (iii) basics of email writing. The activity ends with an evaluation that broadly shows that the activities are carried out in line with the work context so that they do not focus on the theoretical and implementation levels.

Abstract

Today, an interest in developing analytical and creative ways of thinking has become a necessity for many people as well as many companies. The root of it all is that every company has problems with organizing the various powers within the company. This is realized by PT. Serena Indopangan. Realizing the importance of analytical thinking, the company conducts an “analytical thinking” seminar for employees from the coordinator to the director level. The seminar aims to foster analytical and creative thinking of employees to solve problems in carrying out their daily work. By realizing that they have many potential strengths and complement each other's weaknesses, each company is always directed to achieve success. Everyone in the company has their own strengths and weaknesses, both in terms of physical, emotional, intellectual, talent, and spiritual aspects. Leaders must be able to maximize the strengths of their subordinates and encourage their weaknesses to complement each other so as to produce a new strength for the company's success. Success is achieved, not by the leader's egocentric way of thinking, but the ability to think from the point of view of the strengths and potentials of subordinates. The leader's job is to manage the intelligence potential of the subordinates for the betterment of the company. The ability to think analytically is the ability to manage various subordinate strengths in a comprehensive and professional manner. A good leader does not measure success based on his own strength alone, but his ability to manage the various potential intelligences possessed by all actors under his control. That is the essence of analytical thinking in dealing with problems within the company.

Abstract

The pandemic of COVID-19 has had an impact on society and business. This includes the impact on people's information, product, and service consumption patterns. People spend more time at home because of social restrictions imposed to limit the spread of COVID-19. This is also gradually indicating opportunities for industry participants to deliver advertisements for their products or services via online media. The purpose of this study is to identify and analyze the determinants of attitudes toward advertising using ad content and advertising value. As an analytical tool, this quantitative study employs Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) with SMART PLS. This study included 150 millennial YouTube users as participants. According to the findings of this study, ad content has a significant impact on advertising value. Furthermore, this study explains how ad content influences consumer attitudes toward advertising. The study's next finding explains that advertising value has no effect on attitudes toward advertising. This study explains, on the indirect effect, that advertising value does not mediate the relationship between ad content and attitude toward advertising. Other variables, such as advertising provider credibility and public saturation of COVID-19, can be suggested for future research.
