Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of insurance risk, firm value, and IFRS 17 implementation on the financial performance of insurance issuers listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) during the 2022-2023 period. Secondary data is obtained from the financial statements of insurance companies listed on the IDX. The analysis method used is multiple linear regression with the Eviews 12 tool. The results showed that insurance risk (sig. 0.000) and firm value (sig. 0.000) had a significant positive effect on financial performance. In addition, the application of IFRS 17 is also proven to have a significant positive effect on financial performance (sig. 0.045). Simultaneously, insurance risk, firm value, and IFRS 17 also have a significant positive effect on the financial performance of insurance issuers (sig. 0.000). The implication of this study is that insurance companies need to pay attention to risk management, increase firm value, and implement IFRS 17 properly to achieve optimal financial performance.

Abstract

A coping mechanism is a way used to deal with the stress or pressure faced. Coping strategies are different for each individual, one of which is carried out by students, especially medical students who are prone to experiencing stress. The factors that determine which coping mechanisms are most often used depend greatly on the level of stress experienced. The coping mechanisms used can also be influenced by a person's personality type. Apart from personality type, social support can also influence individual coping mechanisms. The aim of this research was to determine the relationship between stress levels, personality type, and social support with the coping mechanisms of First Level Boarding School Students, Faculty of Medicine, Al-Azhar Islamic University, Mataram. This type of research is observational analytic with a cross sectional approach. The population in this study was all first year boarding school students at the Faculty of Medicine, Al-Azhar Islamic University, Mataram, totaling 109 students. The sampling technique used purposive sampling with a total sample of 62 undergraduate boarding school students at Al-Azhar Islamic University, Mataram. The results of the analysis showed that 74.2% of students used adaptive coping mechanisms, 62.9% of students had moderate stress levels, 88.7% of students had introverted personality types, and 66.1% of students received high levels of social support. The results of the Chi Square test show that there is a relationship between coping mechanisms and stress level with a value of P = 0.002 (P < 0.005), there is also a relationship between coping mechanisms and personality type with a value of P = 0.044 (P < 0.005) and there is no relationship between coping mechanisms and social support with a value of P = 0.568 (P > 0.05).

Abstract

Students are adult learners, who have practical and critical thinking in the learning process. So teachers, in this case lecturers, have an important role in creating a comfortable learning situation, so that students do not learn under pressure. Effective and efficient learning certainly has a very good influence on students' development in learning. To create good learning, a teacher needs to equip himself with various kinds of learning models and continue to develop these learning models according to the context of the students. Comfortable and enjoyable learning is the dream of today's students, this certainly provides strong encouragement to every lecturer to be able to develop themselves and continue to follow developments in students' learning methods. Students cannot be seen as students who don't know many things, instead students can be used as discussion partners for lecturers in designing interesting learning. The ADDIE learning model is a learning model that can be used in designing Christian Ethics learning in higher education. There are five stages in the ADDIE learning model, namely Analyze, Design, Develop, Implement and Evaluate. Some of these stages or steps are carried out procedurally, there are instructional design models that are not procedural or cyclical or can start from a certain stage, and there are also integrative learning design models.

Abstract

Breast cancer originates from malignant cells in the breast glands, ducts, and supporting tissues. According to the National Breast Cancer Foundation, various risk factors contribute to breast cancer, including genetic factors, family history, age, breastfeeding status, early age at menarche, age at menopause, parity, use of hormonal contraception, smoking, alcohol consumption, frequency of physical activity, excess weight after menopause, and chest radiation exposure. Data from the International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC) indicate that in Asia, common risk factors for breast cancer include alcohol consumption, radiation exposure, diet, nutrition, excess body weight, physical activity, genetic factors, as well as reproductive and hormonal factors. This study aims to identify the risk factors associated with breast cancer in women. Methods of this study is a systematic literature review with a deductive approach, following the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis (PRISMA) guidelines. The search strategy utilized the PICO framework (Population, Intervention, Comparison, and Outcome). Relevant journals were sourced from online databases such as PubMed, Google Scholar, and DOAJ, covering publications from 2019 to 2023. From the search of online databases like PubMed, Google Scholar, and DOAJ, 10 full-text journals met the inclusion criteria and focused on discussing the risk factors for breast cancer. Several risk factors are associated with breast cancer. Among these, the use of hormonal contraception and a family history of breast cancer have a significant relationship with the incidence of the disease.

Abstract

Diabetes mellitus is a metabolic disorder characterized by the loss or progressive dysfunction of insulin-producing cells in the pancreas, leading to multiple long-term complications and organ damage. Dadiah is one of the traditional probiotic milk products in West Sumatra that is rich in lactic acid bacteria (BAL). Dadiah contains Lactobacillus fermentum which has characteristics as a probiotic and stimulates endogenous antioxidants. The study aimed to determine the difference in the effect of giving curd with dadiah probiotics (L. Fermentum) on changes in the structure of Langerhans pancreatic islets in streptozotocin-induced diabetes model rats. Methods This study was experimental with animals using 2 control groups and 3 intervention groups, namely the negative control was normal intervention mice, the positive control was diabetic mice without intervention. P1 in the 3g/300g BB intervention group, P2 in the low dose (L. Fermentum) probiotic intervention (7.1 × 1010 CFU/mL) and P3 in the high dose 2 probiotic intervention × 7.1 × 1010 CFU/mL)) each group consisted of 5 mice, the intervention lasted for 8 weeks, then organ sampling was carried out. The results of pancreatic histopathology and Langerhans islets showed that in the 3g/300g BB treatment of curd gave an overview of the best cell repair close to negative control (-)/normal Conclusion: Dadiah and probiotic have been pathologically proven to provide anatomical improvement to Langerhans islet cells that undergo degeneration and necrosis in diabetic model mice, due to the presence of antioxidant and probiotic activity. Therefore, dadiah and probiotic dadiah have proven to be useful as a supportive therapy for diabetics.
