Abstract

Asbestos waste, which was previously just a dirty, smelly waste product that caused many diseases and polluted the environment, can actually be used to make various types of lightweight construction materials that are useful in human life. This is because apart from being able to be utilized from a technical perspective, processed materials from asbestos waste also have high economic value. This research aims to reduce asbestos waste pollution which pollutes the environment and get the best mixture of asbestos waste for making paving blocks, to find out the compressive strength value of asbestos paving blocks and fine aggregate, by comparing the cost between paving from asbestos waste and normal paving. This research was carried out at the Materials Testing Laboratory, Department of Civil Engineering, University of 17 August 1945 Banyuwangi. The method used in this research is experimental with load simulation as a compressive strength test. The paving block model studied was a paving block with a rectangular shape with test object dimensions of width = 10.5cm, thickness = 6cm and length = 21cm. The results show that normal paving has a slightly higher quality value than the asbestos waste paving blocks studied, but in terms of cost, paving blocks from asbestos waste are cheaper than normal paving blocks.

Abstract

Burnout is a condition characterized by physical and mental fatigue, and increased negative feelings or cynicism, decreased effectiveness in doing something and often assuming that they are incompetent. The academic environment of medical schools can be one of the stressors experienced by some students. If stress occurs for a long time and is not balanced with the right coping strategies, then the student can experience academic burnout. Factors that cause burnout can come from both individuals and situations. Heavy academic burdens cause medical students to be at higher risk of experiencing academic burnout when compared to the general population. Students who experience burnout experience extraordinary fatigue both physically and mentally, causing reluctance to interact with others, difficulty concentrating on studying, loss of motivation, reduced sleep quality and interest in attending lectures and activities and causing a feeling of incompetence which will have a negative impact on students both physically, mentally and academically. The worst possibility that can happen is that medical students choose not to continue their education, take leave, even drop out, even to the point of having thoughts of suicide. So that understanding and handling these various aspects, both from an individual and situational perspective, are expected to help prevent and overcome burnout to improve the welfare of medical students.

Abstract

One information technology that has a big influence on human life, especially in Indonesia, is the application of electronic government (e-government).  E-government aims to achieve transparency in public services by integrating electronic systems for managing and processing documents and information.  Bureaucratic reform often stems from poor public service quality, leading governments to introduce e-government solutions for enhancing public services to meet public expectations.  So, the researcher will highlight the core issue of the study, which is the suboptimal execution of e-government in public services to align with public expectations. This study employs a descriptive research method utilizing a qualitative approach. The selection of this approach is driven by the objective of comprehending and detailing the deployment of e-government in public services within Kedungasri Village, Tegaldlimo District, Banyuwangi Regency, along with the challenges it faces. The implementation of e-government in Kedungasri Village, Tegaldlimo, Banyuwangi is quite good and smooth.  This can be seen from a beneficial perspective for society.  Key elements for successful e-government implementation include a smooth system and smooth network, making it easier to access the existing e-government system.  The inhibiting factor in implementing e-government is many Kedungasri sociey are technologically illiterate and do not have cellphones.  By introducing e-government in Kedungasri Village, there is an expectation for increased awareness and education on utilizing information and communication technology so that its implementation can run even better.  It is hoped that all village officials will maximize their efforts to support the community and participate in training with more focus so that they can better serve the community.

Abstract

Effective and efficient public service is one of the main objectives of the government in organizing government. One form of important public service is the issuance of Population Identification Cards (E-KTP) by the Population and Civil Registration Service (Dukcapil). This study aims to analyze the implementation of the "jemput bola" strategy in improving the quality of E-KTP issuance services at Dukcapil Nagekeo Regency. The research method used is a qualitative method with a case study approach. Data collection was carried out through interviews, observations, and documentation studies. The results of the study indicate that the implementation of the "jemput bola" strategy at Dukcapil Nagekeo Regency has been running quite well. This strategy has proven effective in increasing public accessibility to E-KTP issuance services, especially for people living in remote or hard-to-reach areas. However, there are still several obstacles faced, such as limited human resources and infrastructure, as well as suboptimal coordination between Dukcapil and the village/district government. The recommendations that can be given are the need to increase the number of "jemput bola" officers, improve infrastructure, and improve coordination between Dukcapil and the village/district government to reach the entire community in making E-KTP.

Abstract

Circumcision or circumcision in men is one of the interventions that can be done to reduce the incidence of Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV). This action is a minor surgical procedure by removing part or all of the foreskin (prepuce) to maintain penis hygiene. Globally and over the past 10 years have shown that circumcision activities have a substantial effect on independent prevention of HIV. In the framework of RSI's Siti rahmah two-decade anniversary, community service was carried out in the form of free mass circumcision activities involving competent doctors and medical personnel who can provide benefits to the community. This community service activity is an integral part of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education. This activity was carried out at RSI Siti Rahmah on June 29, 2024. Before circumcision, screening was carried out to eliminate patients with contraindications such as buried penis and hypospadias. The achievements of the implementation of the Circumcision activity with a total of 51 participants and 3 people had contraindications. The activity went smoothly.
