Abstract

The low participation of the community in general elections is often caused by political apathy. Pemecutan Kaja Village is one of the areas that has several reports of abstentions in the election. Therefore, the Community Service Team conducted counseling and socialization activities to increase the political awareness of local residents. The goal is to reduce the abstention rate and increase political participation of the people of Pemecutan Kaja Village in the elections. The activities include counseling on the importance of participating in elections, socialization on voting procedures, open discussions on national and local political issues, and mentoring for first-time voters. As a result, there has been an increase in political understanding and awareness of citizens' voting rights. The hope is that the abstention rate in the elections in Pemecutan Kaja Village will decrease and political participation will increase. This activity is expected to raise political awareness among apathetic voters in Pemecutan Kaja Village

Abstract

Program kemitraan masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk memberdayakan bidan dan ibu hamil di Desa Pelaga, Badung, Bali, melalui integrasi pemeriksaan Ultrasonografi (USG) Biometri dan Skrining Kesehatan Gigi dan Mulut. Inisiatif ini ditujukan untuk mengatasi keterbatasan akses terhadap pelayanan antenatal spesialistik di daerah terpencil. Program ini melibatkan kegiatan Focus Group Discussion (FGD), sesi edukasi, pemeriksaan USG, serta skrining gigi dan mulut. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan peningkatan pengetahuan dan kesadaran tentang kesehatan maternal, yang tercermin dari nilai post-test yang meningkat secara signifikan dibandingkan pre-test. Kolaborasi antara tenaga medis dan dokter gigi berhasil meningkatkan aksesibilitas layanan kesehatan lokal serta kesejahteraan ibu hamil.

Abstract

Breast milk engorgement is a common problem among postpartum mothers due to inadequate breast care and limited family support. This problem can hinder breastfeeding success and increase the risk of mastitis. This community service aimed to empower families in performing postpartum breast care to prevent breast milk engorgement. The methods used included health education, demonstration of breast massage, and family-assisted practice. The activity was conducted in Penfui Timur, District Kupang Tengah, in August 2025, involving 26 postpartum mothers and family members. The results showed a 45% increase in knowledge based on pre-test and post-test scores and a 60% improvement in practical breast care skills. Family support for breastfeeding mothers also improved significantly. This program proves that family empowerment effectively prevents breast milk engorgement and promotes exclusive breastfeeding success.

Abstract

Traditional jamu (herbal medicine) represents an invaluable part of Indonesian cultural heritage, yet it faces declining interest due to limited product innovation, weak branding, and minimal digital marketing adoption. This community service program aims to empower 25 traditional jamu entrepreneurs in Omah Ampiran Tourism Village, Wonolopo, Semarang City, through integrated product development, branding, and digital marketing. Using Participatory Action Research (PAR) over 24 weeks, the program completed its preparation phase (weeks 1-4) involving stakeholder engagement and need assessment. Baseline findings revealed that 84% have limited variants, 0% have registered trademarks, and 60% lack social media presence, with an average monthly revenue of IDR 2,450,000. The program includes three training clusters and intensive mentoring (weeks 5-20). Target outcomes: 80% developing three new variants, 90% establishing brand identity, 100% utilizing social media, and 70% registering on marketplaces. A sustainable community with peer-to-peer mentoring will ensure continuity, contributing to cultural heritage preservation and women's economic empowerment.

Abstract

Mini Parenting Class Adalah bentuk pelatihan sebagai proses intervensi yang sistematik untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan, kemampuan, dan keterampilan. Sedangkan kecenderungan adiksi gadget, adalah ketergantungan seseorang dalam penggunaan gadget dengan beberapa aspek dan indikator yang menyertai-nya. Kecenderungan adiksi gadget pada anak menjadi sesuatu yang harus mendapatkan prioritas dalam pengasuhan anak-anak. Dengan demikian Mini Parenting Class merupakan salah satu metode dalam proses pembelajaran dan intervensi untuk peningkatan wawasan, sikap, perilaku, dan kemampuan dalam pengasuhan, terutama dalam menghadapi masalah penggunaan gadget pada anak usia dini dan anak usia sekolah. Kegiatan ini menggunakan metode ceramah langsung, diskusi atau sharing session, dan online learning. Sasaran kegiatan ini adalah para orangtua, guru, penggiat parenting secara khusus di lingkungan PAUD dan TPA Al-Muhajirin Kelurahan Cempaka Putih dan meluas secara terbuka dan umum pada berbagai kalangan kelompok masyarakat. Hasil evaluasi program ini telah terjadi peningkatan dan perubahan pengetahuan, wawasan, sikap, dan perilaku sebagai upaya penanganan kecederungan adiksi gadget pada anak-anak.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan kesadaran siswa mengenai pentingnya gizi seimbang melalui edukasi dan permainan interaktif di Madrasah Tsanawiyah Negeri 3 Pekanbaru. Kegiatan dilaksanakan dalam tiga tahap, yaitu persiapan, pelaksanaan, dan evaluasi. Edukasi dilakukan secara interaktif melalui penyampaian materi dan diskusi, sedangkan pemahaman siswa diperkuat melalui permainan edukatif “Bingo Gizi”. Peserta kegiatan adalah 35 siswa kelas tujuh. Evaluasi dilakukan melalui perbandingan skor pretest dan posttest untuk menilai peningkatan pengetahuan siswa. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pengetahuan yang signifikan terutama pada topik porsi sayur, buah, dan makanan pokok dalam konsep “Isi Piringku”. Kegiatan ini berjalan dengan baik dan mendapat respon positif dari guru serta siswa. Rekomendasi dari kegiatan ini adalah perlunya pelaksanaan edukasi gizi secara berkelanjutan dan pengembangan media pembelajaran inovatif agar pesan gizi dapat diterima dengan lebih efektif oleh siswa.

Abstract

The Community Service Program (PKM) themed “Student Empowerment through Local Product-Based Entrepreneurial Innovation” was carried out by Dhyana Pura University in the 2025 Fiscal Year as an effort to strengthen students’ capacity in initiating culinary businesses based on local ingredients. The activity involved five students and three supervising lecturers who provided guidance in the areas of marketing management, finance, and human resource management. The program was implemented through training, production practice, business model development, digital marketing, and the provision of production equipment assistance. The results show an improvement in students’ technical and managerial skills, as well as the creation of culinary products such as brownies cookies, cheese cake, coffee/non-coffee beverages, and banana nuggets. Further mentoring through the Dhyana Pura University Business Incubator serves as a sustainability strategy to develop independent and competitive young entrepreneurs.

Abstract

In accordance with the nature of life, we as humans at certain times need each other as fellow creatures of God. This is why we are united in marriage. Children are a mandate given by God Almighty to husband and wife to be raised and educated so that they can live independently and bring happiness to their parents. Children are also expected to protect the interests and care for their mother and father in old age. Therefore, the importance of children in a family and society is still considered incomplete without children.Therefore, when a family, tribe, or clan faces the reality of not having children, the family, tribe, or clan generally adopts a child to prevent the extinction of themselves or the next generation. In customary inheritance law, children hold a crucial position as successors to their parents' assets, while the purpose of marriage according to customary law is solely to produce children or continue the lineage. As stated by R. Soepomo (1993:79), the purpose of marriage in relation to inheritance law is:"The purpose of marriage according to traditional Indonesian understanding is to continue the lineage and descendants. Therefore, parental assets must be provided as successors. If a husband and wife have children, the purpose of marriage has been achieved. According to Javanese customary law, basically, both sons and daughters born later, regardless of religion, have the same rights to inheritance from their parents. This equal right means that adopted children have the right to receive equal treatment from their parents in the process of inheriting their inheritance."

Abstract

This community partnership program explores the development of the Village-Owned Enterprise (BUMDes) Kerta Rahayu in Lumbung Village, Tabanan, which operates in the culinary sector to support local tourism. Although BUMDes has great potential, challenges in management and menu variation remain major obstacles. Through this partnership initiative, the PKM program aims to enhance the managerial capacity of the BUMDes administrators by providing training on culinary business management and menu development. The methods used include socialization, training sessions, and evaluation activities involving administrators and local community members. The results of the training indicate significant improvements in participants’ knowledge and skills in designing and preparing menus, as well as a better understanding of the importance of menu variety to attract tourists. The implications of this program affirm that good management and continuous menu innovation are essential to increasing the appeal of culinary businesses in Lumbung Village, especially in response to the growing number of visitors. Thus, this community empowerment program successfully achieved its objectives and has provided positive impacts for the managers of BUMDes Kerta Rahayu.

Abstract

Cervical cancer is a disease that occurs in the internal genitalia of women, specifically the cervix or the outer surface layer of the cervix/epithelium. Cervical cancer is caused by the Human Papillomavirus (HPV), with the most commonly identified HPV types 16 and 18. Early detection of cervical cancer can be performed with the VIA test, and Pap smear, but the public is generally reluctant to undergo cervical cancer screening due to a lack of knowledge among women, and their families about cervical cancer. The purpose of this outreach activity was to provide participants with knowledge about cervical cancer and how to detect it early. The outreach method used lectures, using material presented in PowerPoint and leaflets. The activity was conducted in 2023 with 38 fertile couples and women of childbearing age participating at the Lermatang Community Health Center (Pustu Lermatang) in the working area of ​​the Saumlaki Community Health Center, Tanimbar Islands Regency. The results showed a significant increase in knowledge of 68.4%. In conclusion, this increase in participant knowledge can serve as a starting point for improving knowledge and willingness to undergo cervical cancer screening with the VIA examination
