Abstract

This research was aims to determine the quality of the Javanese final summative assessment questions for grade VII even semester at SMPN 2 Kutowinangun 2023/2024. This research used descriptive quantitative method with interview and study of document as data collection technique. The data source used in this research consisted of question sheets and 30 answer sheets wich taken randomly. The analysis of question was used SPSS dan anates. The results of this research showed (1) there are three questions should be revised because the construction is not complete; (2) based on validity, 57,14% questions was valid and 42,86% questions was invalid; (3) reliability of objective questions is very high, but the reliability of the essay questions is low; (4) difficulty level of the questions is not in balance proportion, so it needs to be revised; (5) based on descrimination level, 71,43% of questions was suitable; and (6) there found 9 questions with effective distractor, whereas 10 questions was not have effective distractor.

Abstract

Understanding fashion terms or terminology is an important thing to be mastered by teachers and students of the Fashion Design and Production expertise program, to facilitate communication in the learning process so that there are no mistakes in the practice of making clothes. Learning about fashion terminology can be done with the help of interactive learning media. An example of media that can be used is Wordwall-based media. This study aims to 1) develop Wordwall-based media on the terminology material for making skirts in the Basic Sewing Techniques subject, 2) determine students' responses to Wordwall-based learning media. This development research method uses the ADDIE model development technique, where for validation using expert validation using the formula Vah = (TSE: TSH) x 100%. While the implementation was carried out on class X DPB 3 students where respondents were taken using a saturated sampling technique of 32 students, the analysis technique used a percentage technique with the formula Percentage = (Number of scores obtained: Maximum number of scores) x 100%. The validation results showed 89.6% with a very feasible category. The implementation results obtained 88.06% with a very good category, which means that this media makes it easier for students to learn the material on making skirts.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the validity and effectiveness of the Eyang Eyong learning tool, which is a cheerful hopscotch game of mutual cooperation, in improving the cognitive achievement of Pancasila Education in grade V students at SD 3 Menawan. Using a quantitative approach and One Group Pretest-Posttest design, involving 23 students as participants. Data were obtained from interviews, tests, and observations. The results of the study showed that the Eyang Eyong instructional tool was proven to be feasible to use and effective in improving students' cognitive achievement. The normality test indicated that the data was normally distributed, while the Paired Sample T-Test showed an increase in value (p = 0.001). The average N-Gain value obtained was 0.5308 indicating that the progress of cognitive achievement was included in the moderate category. Based on these findings, it is recommended that innovative learning media such as Eyang Eyong be a tool to help students understand the material and improve their cognitive achievement.

Abstract

The quality of education in the era of digital transformation brings its own challenges for educational institutions to be adaptive to technological advances and changes in student needs. In reality, there are still many educational institutions that do not have a structured and sustainable quality management system. Total Quality Management (TQM) is present as a managerial instrument that helps educational institutions in managing educational services optimally in order to provide satisfaction to customers so that they can achieve the expected quality. This study aims to examine the strategy for improving the quality of education in the digital era through the implementation of TQM. The method used is a literature study by collecting sources from books or scientific articles that are relevant to the research theme. The results of the study show that the strategy for improving the quality of education in the digital era can be carried out by applying the principles of TQM which include a focus on customer satisfaction, appreciation for individual contributions, fact-based management, and continuous improvement. However, its implementation is inseparable from various challenges such as the digital literacy gap, resistance to change, and limited infrastructure facilities. Solutions that can be taken to overcome these challenges include digital literacy training, strengthening an adaptive culture, and providing adequate infrastructure. By implementing TQM optimally, educational institutions are expected to be able to build a quality and globally competitive learning system.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of using digital-based learning media, the Kahoot application, and learning motivation on the learning interests of fifth-grade students at SD Katolik 03 Frater Don Bosco Manado. The study used a quantitative approach with a non-probability sampling method, a saturated sampling technique, involving 75 students as samples. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, correlation, reliability, normality, linearity, simple regression, and multiple regression with the help of SPSS 25. The results of the study showed that: (1) there was a significant direct effect of digital-based learning media, the Kahoot application, on students' learning interests with a significance value of p = 0.000 <0.05 and a Determinant Coefficient (R²) of 77.8%, which means that the Kahoot media explains 77.8% of the variation in students' learning interests; (2) learning motivation has a significant direct effect on learning interests with p = 0.000 <0.05 and R² = 79.6%, indicating that learning motivation explains 79.6% of the variation in learning interests; (3) Simultaneously, Kahoot learning media and learning motivation together have a significant effect on learning interest with p = 0.000 < 0.05 and R² = 80.1%, which means that the two variables explain 80.1% of the variation in students' learning interest in science subjects. In conclusion, the use of digital learning media based on the Kahoot application and learning motivation significantly increases the learning interest of class V students at SD Katolik 03 Frater Don Bosco Manado.

Abstract

Low student learning motivation, especially at the elementary school level, can be caused by inaccuracy in the use of learning models and media. This study aims to determine the effect of the STAD learning model assisted by the ASEAN Rotating Clock media on the learning motivation of grade VI students of SDN 1 Guyangan. The study used a quantitative method with a one group pretest-posttest experimental design. Data were collected through questionnaires and analyzed using normality tests, homogeneity, and hypothesis tests (t-test and regression/F test) through SPSS 25. The results showed an increase in the average score from the pretest (52.90%) to the posttest (77.25%). The t-test produced a sig value of 0.00 <0.05 and tcount> ttable (21.506> 2.7961), while the F test showed sig 0.00 <0.05 and fcount> ftable (26.612> 4.325). Thus, there is a significant effect of the use of the STAD model with the ASEAN Rotating Clock media on student learning motivation.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to describe the planning of educators, the learning process and the results of the implementation of the CTL approach in the subject of science in supporting critical thinking skills of grade IV students. This study uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive method. Data collection was carried out through interviews, observations and documentation, with the principal, educators, and students, as well as conducting a literature review. The results obtained in this study are that the planning of science learning is carried out by determining CP, TP & ATP, and compiling teaching modules that are in accordance with the characteristics of the material being studied. The learning process runs conducively, is centered on students and involves students to play an active role. Based on the results of the study, the CTL approach to science learning is able to support the development of critical thinking skills of grade IV students.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning model and Learning Interest on the Learning Outcomes of Grade IV Students of SD Katolik 03 Frater Don Bosco Manado. This type of research is quantitative with a Pretest-Posttest Control Group design. The sample taken was 25 students of grade IV A as the control class and IV B as the experimental class. The data collection technique used tests and non-tests, then the data obtained was analyzed using the hypothesis I test and hypothesis II using the t test. The results of the study obtained an average value of the posttest learning outcomes of the experimental class which was higher, namely 74.28 and 90.44. While the control class values were 69.92 and 87.72. Based on the data analysis, the findings of this study indicate that the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model is effective for student interest in the learning outcomes of grade IV students on the procedural text material in learning Indonesian at SD Katolik 03 Frater Don Bosco Manado.

Abstract

In an era of increasingly competitive job competition, work readiness is not only technical skills but also the mental, social, and digital readiness of graduates. However, there are still many students who show that their mastery of information technology has not been fully utilized to support the development of work competencies. Low self-efficacy and lack of interpersonal communication skills are quite significant obstacles. This study was conducted to examine the effect of mastery of information technology, self-efficacy, and interpersonal communication skills on the work readiness of generation Z students of the Economic Education Study Program (Office Administration) class of 2021, Semarang State University. The quantitative research approach is descriptive. The population in this study includes all generation Z students of the Economic Education Study Program (Office Administration) class of 2021, Semarang State University, totaling 131 students. Sample selection was carried out using a saturated sampling approach by involving the entire population in the study. Data collection techniques used questionnaires and documentation. The data analysis technique applied descriptive analysis and multiple regression analysis using the assistance of the IBM SPSS Statistics 26 for Windows program. The results of the study indicate that there is an influence between mastery of information technology, self-efficacy, and interpersonal communication on the work readiness of generation Z students of the Economic Education Study Program (Office Administration) Semarang State University.

Abstract

This research analyzed syntactic phrases that are used in the dialogue of the Disney Wish movie. This research aims to find out the types of phrases and the most common phrases that are used by the main characters in the Disney Wish movie. The methodology used in this research is a qualitative method with a descriptive approach. In data collection, the researcher uses Simak Bebas Libat Cakap (SBLC) and the note-taking technique. The research data is the types of phrases and the most common phrases. The research sources is a movie accessed from Disney+ Hotstar platform and a movie transcription. The researcher employs three steps in data analysis: data reduction, data display, and drawing conclusions. The research results showed that from 145 total of phrases, the researcher found four types of phrases, namely Noun Phrase (NP) which 87 occurrences or 60,00%, Verb Phrase (VP) which 36 occurrences or 24,83%, Adjective Phrase (AdjP) which 3 occurrences or 2,07%, and Preposition Phrase (PP) which 19 occurrences or 13,10%. The most common phrases that are used by the main characters in the Disney Wish movie is noun phrase. In English education, especially for teachers who teach English, this research can contribute as a teaching tool to teach about phrases.
