Abstract

This development research (Research and Development) aimed to evaluate the characteristics, validity, practicality, and effectiveness of website-based e-learning for virus material in the Biology Education Study Program at Muhammadiyah Bulukumba University, using the ADDIE model comprising Analyze, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation stages. Designed for easy access on digital devices, the e-learning incorporates multimedia features such as images, text, animations, sound, and videos, enhancing engagement and learning effectiveness. The e-learning demonstrated high validity, though improvements in language and coherence are needed for optimal results. It also received positive feedback on practicality from lecturers and students for its ease of use. Effectiveness was evident in improved student outcomes, with pretest scores rising from an average of 59.95 to 85.67 in the posttest. Overall, the e-learning was deemed valid, practical, and effective, with recommendations for large-scale trials and development of additional materials to further enhance its utility.

Abstract

The low numeracy of children also has an influencing factor. Factors that affect a child's numeracy ability include internal factors and external factors. The next problem that arises when learning is the lack of interest and attention of students in mathematics lessons so that students lack mastery of the subject and the impact of students will be difficult to understand mathematics lessons. To overcome this problem, the researcher will conduct an experiment using the plucking method. This research uses a quantitative approach because the data obtained is in the form of numbers and the method of data analysis uses statistical analysis. This type of research is a type of experimental research. The place and time of the research used in this study is SMP Negeri 7 Brebes which consists of 18 study groups. The experiment in this study was carried out in 3 (three) stages, namely the pre-test stage, the treatment stage, and the post-test stage. The data analysis method in this study is divided into two stages, namely the initial stage analysis which is an analysis to investigate the similarities of two groups before being given treatment and the final stage analysis which is an analysis to test hypotheses. Based on the data in the output table of the statistics group, it can be seen that the Mean N-gain percent value for the class is quite effective in improving students' numeracy skills and learning interest in learning mathematics integer calculation operation material. As for the conceptual class, the mean N-gain was obtained, the conceptual method was not effective in increasing students' interest in learning mathematics integer counting operations. With the results of this research, it is hoped that it can be used as a consideration in designing learning and the use of the method of learning on students' numeracy.

Abstract

An education is recognized for its quality or quality of education after carrying out an accreditation process carried out by an independent institution. In today's world of education, there needs to be progress in order to keep up with the times, so that education remains relevant to the changes that occur in society. The challenges faced by education units are not easy because some things are not owned by education units. Everything in the education unit is the shared responsibility of all atake holders within the education unit. Of course, the challenges faced have solutions to solve of course by continuing to collaborate with every stake holder in the education unit. One of the challenges faced by secondary education units in improving accreditation in education units is the lack of human resources who have competencies in the field of education that have been certified by higher education institutions. The solution that can be given here is that every teacher is required to continue to improve themselves by participating in self-development and professional development activities to improve teacher professionalism. Then with the increase in teacher education, the accreditation of education units will increase. The Quality Imperative, being one of the key principles guiding organizational success to date, emphasizes the importance of prioritizing quality.

Abstract

Researchers study low understanding and reading skills of the Qoran among students at Tadika Al-Fikh Orchard. One of the contributing factors is that traditional teaching methods are less interesting, so children are less motivated to recognize and understand hijaiyah letters and analyze the effectiveness of using creative learning methods with hijaiyah letters in improving students' abilities at Tadika al fikh orchard in understanding the Qur'an. This teaching approach aims to provide interesting, motivating learning strategies and improve children's understanding of the hijaiyah letters. Using an experimental design, this study involved seven Tadika students. Data analysis used descriptive statistics to measure the increase in the ability to read the Qur'an. According to the research findings, creative teaching methods that combine hijaiyah letters significantly improve students' ability to understand the Qur'an when compared to traditional teaching methods. It is hoped that all of this will contribute to the development of educational strategies in Islamic educational environments.

Abstract

This study focuses on efforts to improve student learning outcomes in the subject of Sociology at SMA Negeri 1 Slawi. It was found that student learning outcomes were still suboptimal, attributed to a lack of variation in teaching methods, minimal active student engagement, and limited learning media. To address these issues, the study implemented a Project Based Learning (PjBL) model based on ecomedia. Using a quantitative method and factorial design, the research involved 72 tenth-grade students, with class X.9 serving as the experimental group and class X.8 as the control group. Through the analysis of pre-test and post-test scores, the study evaluated the differences in learning outcomes before and after the implementation of the PjBL model. The results indicated that the ecomedia-based PjBL model had a significant positive impact on student learning outcomes for both male and female students, with no notable differences between the two. These findings highlight the importance of developing teaching methods that combine conventional elements with PjBL, as well as encouraging teachers to be more creative in utilizing learning media to make the teaching and learning process more engaging and effective for students.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the application of technological innovation in public services and the role of education in improving service performance. Using a qualitative approach with a case study design, this study collected data through in-depth interviews, participant observation, and documentation to analyze the impact of technology on bureaucratic efficiency, transparency, accountability, and public satisfaction. The results showed that the implementation of technology-based systems, such as e-Procurement and e-Auction, successfully improved the efficiency of administrative processes, reduced task completion time, and increased transparency and accountability. In addition, technology-based education for government officials and increased digital literacy for the community proved important in maximizing the benefits of the technology. Better education allows government officials to adopt technology more quickly and improve service quality, while community digital literacy increases the utilization of technology-based services, which in turn increases public satisfaction. This study suggests the importance of integrating technology education into training programs for government officials and the community to ensure the success of technology implementation in public services. Further research is recommended to further examine the long-term impact of digital literacy and technology-based education in different public service sectors.

Abstract

Private English tutoring in Indonesia has become popular due to student demand. In practice, English private tutors mostly graduated from a linear academic background, whether in the English language and literature or education study program. English tutors who graduated from non-linear study programs have the same opportunity to teach English and perform their language-ability. This present study applied narrative inquiry to know how the private tutors’ academic background and learning journey outside formal education shaped their English proficiency. The participants of this study are four private English tutors; two tutors graduated from the English language and education, and the other two graduated from political science, who have been teaching for more than two years and achieved more than 500 scores in their TOEFL. The findings reveal that the tutors’ non-linear academic background and personal life experiences also helped how they could practice their communication skills using English.

Abstract

This study aims to develop a valid test instrument model to measure critical thinking skills as an achievement of the Pancasila learner profile at the end of phase D. In developing this instrument, researchers used a validity test approach with the Pearson correlation method to ensure that each item can accurately reflect the understanding and ability of learners to process information objectively, build links between various information, analyze, evaluate and conclude. Data obtained from instrument testing involves learner responses which are then analyzed. The results of the analysis showed that all items had significant correlation coefficients, with values above the specified threshold, so they were declared valid. The validity of this instrument is very important to ensure that the evaluation of learning outcomes is in accordance with the standards set by the Merdeka Curriculum, and supports the achievement of curriculum goals in improving the quality of P5 results in schools. This research is expected to make a positive contribution to the development of more effective and efficient educational assessments.
