Abstract

The purpose of this study was to analyze the shooting distance in the men's futsal final of the 2024 Aceh-North Sumatra National Sports Week. This study used a quantitative descriptive research method with a cross-sectional design. Match videos from the Local Futbal YouTube channel were downloaded and analyzed. Shooting motion videos were cut using Movie Maker software. Then, the distance of the cut video was analyzed using Kinovea software 2023.1.2. All shooting techniques performed by 24 futsal athletes were then calculated in meters. The analysis time was carried out until the match was over or 20 x 2 minutes (net time) with 5 x 2 minutes of additional time. Data analysis was carried out based on the total shooting distance, the direction of the kick to the goal, shots on target, and shots off target. All statistical procedures were carried out using SPSS and Microsoft Excel. The results of the study showed that in the final match of the men's futsal category of PON XXI Aceh-Sumut 2024, a total of 66 shots were taken with an average shooting distance of 8.92 meters, the furthest distance of 17.76 meters, the closest distance of 1.36 meters and the percentage of shots on target was 30.3% and off target was 69.7%.

Abstract

The premenopausal phase is a transitional period characterized by irregular ovulation and menstrual cycles. During this phase, hormonal changes, decreased reproductive function, physical changes, and psychological disorders occur. Stress is a psychological disorder that often occurs in the premenopausal phase and, if left untreated, will impact chronic and mental health. One effort to overcome stress levels in premenopausal women is cardio dance. This study aims to determine the effect of cardio dance training on reducing stress levels in premenopausal women at the Annisa Regency Housing Complex in Malang City. This study was a pre-experimental study with a one-group pre-post test design. The sample used was 18 people with a purposive sampling technique. Data collection used questionnaires before and after treatment. Data analysis was performed using a paired t-test. The average stress level before cardio dance training was 16.61 with a standard deviation of 1.71. The average stress level after cardio dance training was 12.22 with a standard deviation of 1.86. The results of the analysis showed that cardio dance had an effect on reducing stress levels with a p value of 0.000 (<0.05).

Abstract

Strength development in junior karate athletes is an important aspect because it plays a direct role in supporting performance, both during training and in competitions. However, the applied training pattern is often lacking in variety and is not optimally structured. This study aims to examine the effect of a six-week resistance training program on increasing muscle mass in junior karate athletes. The method used was an experiment with a one-group pretest-posttest design, involving 15 athletes consisting of 8 boys and 7 girls aged 13–15 years. The treatment in the form of resistance training was carried out twice a week, with a training program that included two upper body movements (bench press and upper back row) and two lower body movements (squat and leg extension). The load used was more than 15 RM with a movement tempo of 2–8 seconds. Muscle mass measurements were taken before and after the intervention using the Karada Scan Omron HBF-701, then analyzed through a t-test with the help of SPSS Version 29. The results showed a significant increase in muscle mass of 9% after undergoing resistance training. These findings indicate that a systematically designed resistance training program can help junior karate athletes in increasing strength and speed. Thus, coaches are advised to integrate resistance training into their coaching programs to support the achievement of optimal performance.

Abstract

Anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) and meniscus injuries are common knee injuries in athletes that require comprehensive postoperative rehabilitation. This study aimed to determine the effectiveness of a physiotherapy program combining electrotherapy modalities (TENS, NMES, Ultrasound) and muscle contraction exercises during phase 1 rehabilitation after ACL reconstruction and meniscus repair. A case study with a pre- and post-test design was conducted on a 22-year-old male soccer player who underwent physiotherapy for two weeks (June 16–30, 2025) at Fisiohands Clinic, Pekanbaru. Evaluations were performed using the Visual Analog Scale (VAS) for pain, a goniometer for range of motion (ROM), and the Lower Extremity Functional Scale (LEFS) for knee function. The results showed a reduction in resting pain from 6/10 to 3/10 and movement pain from 8/10 to 5/10. Knee ROM improved from S=0°–16°–68° to S=0°–8°–94°, while the LEFS score increased from 27 to 38. In conclusion, the combination of electrotherapy and muscle contraction exercises was effective in reducing pain, improving ROM, and enhancing knee function in the early rehabilitation phase after ACL reconstruction and meniscus repair, although the patient remained in the category of major functional limitations.

Abstract

Fitrianti Khoirun Nisa' "PJOK Teachers' Level of Understanding of the Independent Learning Curriculum in Middle Schools in the Kalinyamatan Jepara District". Supporting aspects of PJOK teachers' readiness to accept curriculum changes are teacher handbooks, teacher handbooks for students, related learning equipment and media, and existing school infrastructure. This research aims to determine PJOK teachers' understanding of KMB. This research uses a descriptive qualitative approach. This data collection was carried out using observation, interviews, and documentation. The data source for this research was obtained from PJOK SMP teachers. This research data analysis uses data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and concluding. The results that have been obtained by the author who has conducted research are that teachers have a fairly good understanding of prioritizing freedom in more innovative and responsive learning. Most teachers implement learning to encourage student creativity that suits students' interests and talents. However, teachers have several obstacles, one of which is facilities and infrastructure. The school continues to strive to support the existence of an independent learning curriculum.
