Journal of diversity in learning (JDIL): this journal must include diversity in learning as the integrity of learning and as practice in the classroom in the reality of dynamic and ever-changing learning. This journal must provide a new perspective on the gap between theoretical approaches and practices that occur in the field directly. So the journal invites a meeting point for several disciplines and scholars, with the concept of thinking about diversity in learning.

Abstract

This research is a Class Action Research (PTK), which aims to improve the mathematics learning results of grade IX students in quadratic function material by using the Joyful Learning Strategy. The subjects in this study were 28 students of grade IX-A SMPN 3 Ngimbang. Data collection techniques in this research include observation, interviews, tests, and documentation. The data obtained in this study have student learning results are taken from giving test questions at the end of the cycle, teacher's ability to manage to learn taken from observation sheets, and student activities taken from student observation sheets. The joyful learning strategy's implementation is carried out in 2 cycles consisting of the planning stage, implementation stage, observation stage, and reflection stage. The precycle research results showed that the average grade score obtained was 26.41%; after being given action in the first cycle using joyful learning, strategies experienced increased learning outcomes with a middle-grade score of 61.11% with students completing as many as 24 students or 85.71%. These results show an increase in student learning outcomes with the implementation of joyful learning strategies.

Abstract

The problem in this research is how to improve student learning achievement in FPB and KPK materials with the implementation of the NHT model cooperative learning model. This research was conducted at SDN Pangkatrejo II where researchers teach. The subjects of the study were grade IV students of 18 students. NHT, achievement, FPB and KPKLearning with the NHT method on KPK and FPB material has a positive impact in improving student learning achievement which is characterized by increasing student learning completeness every cycle, namely, cycle I 66.7%to 83.3%in cycle II. The application of the NHT method in KPK and FPB subject matter has a positive influence, which is to improve students' skills in solving problems related to KPK and FPB shown by the increasing number of children who can do problems about KPK and FPB well.

Abstract

Education makes a great contribution to a country. One of the indicators of education is learning, the success of children's learning can be seen through children's learning habits, while what happens to children aged 6-12 years do not know how to put themselves in the learning time and how to learn, it can be seen from several environmental factors that are around it. Children's learning habits in their sense is the learning behavior of a child from time to time in the same way, in order to increase the knowledge both at school and at home can facilitate the success of the child in learning. Based on the statement, researchers are interested in examining the link between children's learning habits and the formation of children's characters. With the attitude in the indicator of character formation of the child will be able to influence the learning habits of the child better, as well as the existence of learning the habits of children who have several indicators, including how to learn and learning time will build the formation of the character of the child to be researched. This research is included in descriptive research aims to describe, explain and validate the social phenomena that become the object of research, Descriptive research method is narrative research used in qualitative or qualitative research design. Based on the ongoing research of several theories and frames of thinking above, Based on ongoing research, the hypothesis proposed in this study is "There is an Influence of Children's Learning Habits and Character Building".

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to see: 1) Knowing the mathematics learning outcomes of integer material with a direct learning model and using problem-based learning strategies. 2) the influence of the influence of mathematics learning outcomes with high and low motivation which is treated using problem-based learning models and direct learning. 3) The interaction between the problem-based learning model and the direct learning model, as well as students' learning motivation towards the mathematics learning outcomes of integer material. This research is a quantitative study by determining the sample using random sampling technique. This research is a quantitative study by determining the sample using random sampling technique. The number of samples for the control class was 52 students and the experimental class was 52 students, so the sample size was 104 students. Data collection was carried out using test questions and motivation questionnaires, with testing using the 2-way ANOVA test statistic. Retrieval of data using test questions and motivation questionnaires, using the 2-line ANOVA statistical test. The results of the study are as follows: 1) There is an influence on the results of learning mathematics using the Problem Based Learning model and direct learning model. 2) There is an effect of mathematics learning outcomes of seventh grade junior high school students between groups of students who have high learning motivation and low learning motivation. 3) The interaction between the Problem Based Learning model and the direct learning model with students' learning motivation towards Mathematics learning outcomes.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe the learning process of writing descriptive response text, describe changes in spiritual attitudes, describe changes in social attitudes, describe the increase in knowledge of learners, and describe the improvement of learning skills to write descriptive response text through flowing sentence techniques with image media in students of grade IX. The learning process is carried out through two cycles, namely cycle I and cycle II. The results showed that the average grade score in the precyclical knowledge test was 62.97. In cycle I it increased by 66.81 or in a fairly good category and in cycle II increased again by 82.81 or in either category. The results of the pre-cycle skills test were 66.5 or in a fairly good category. In cycle I it increased by 77.2 and in cycle II increased again by 84.3. Improved writing of descriptive response text was also followed by a change in learners' learning attitudes in a better direction during the learning process of writing descriptive response text through flowing sentence techniques with image media.

Abstract

Intellectual intelligence (IQ) and emotional intelligence (EQ) are indispensable in the learning process. The two intelligences complement each other. The balance between intellectual intelligence and emotional intelligence is the key to successful learning for students. There are many potential students that can be developed. Various emotional intelligences in learning     affect learning activities. Each student has a different emotional intelligence background, how to respond to the incoming stimulus is also different. The process of interaction during the learning process in the classroom is strongly influenced by emotional intelligence and social skills so it is necessary to consider the background of emotional intelligence in accompanying them during the learning process in the classroom. Students with high emotional intelligence are easier to interact, adapt to their learning environment. Emotional intelligence can be developed by providing a lot of experience to them directly to improve their emotional intelligence under the guidance of the teacher in the learning process.
