Abstract

This article aims to analyse the financial management of MSMEs based on financial literacy through a literature review, in order to explain its role in improving the performance of micro-enterprises. Financial literacy is understood as the ability of business owners to understand, assess and apply financial knowledge in business activities, including recording transactions, budgeting, cash flow management, the use of finance, and investment decision-making. A number of studies indicate that financial literacy contributes positively to improving the quality of MSME financial management, particularly in terms of financial planning, cost control, debt management, and the formulation of more rational business strategies. Through a literature review approach, this article examines various previous research findings that discuss the relationship between financial literacy, financial management, and MSME performance. The findings indicate that financial literacy influences the performance of micro-enterprises both directly and indirectly through financial management behaviour, access to financial resources, and the financial self-confidence of business owners. Furthermore, sound financial management has been shown to support operational efficiency, enhance profitability, strengthen business sustainability, and help MSMEs adapt more effectively to changes in the business environment. Consequently, financial literacy can be positioned as a strategic foundation for strengthening the managerial capacity of MSMEs. This article emphasises the importance of practical, contextual and sustainable financial education programmes to enable micro-enterprises to improve the quality of their financial management and achieve more optimal business performance.

Abstract

The digital age has fundamentally transformed the patterns of interaction, learning and values formation amongst Indonesia’s younger generation, whilst also having serious consequences for the erosion of children’s character and moral values. This article aims to analyse the role of family education and parental digital literacy in the moral development of school-age children in the digital age. The study employs a literature review using a descriptive qualitative approach. The findings indicate that the family plays a crucial role as the initial foundation for children’s character development through setting a good behavioural example, open communication, and guidance on technology use consistent with an authoritative parenting style. Parents’ digital literacy is a key factor in strengthening children’s character, as parents’ ability to access, analyse, evaluate and use digital information ethically determines the success of monitoring their children’s online activities. Parents with a high level of digital literacy can act as filters, facilitators and role models in the wise use of technology. Effective digital parenting strategies include co-viewing, setting screen time limits, open communication, and continuous education through collaborative programmes between families, schools and the government. The integration of family education and parental digital literacy creates a safe and educational digital ecosystem for the moral development of school-age children, with religious values, responsibility, empathy and digital ethics as the main pillars.

Abstract

This study is grounded in the importance of interpersonal communication in building comfortable working relationships in a field division that operates under time pressure, technical accuracy, and changing project conditions. The purpose of this study was to describe the application of interpersonal communication from the perspective of guidance and counseling and to identify the barriers experienced by employees of the Field Division of PT. Deden Decor Indonesia, Tangerang Office, Banten Province. This research employed a qualitative case study approach. The participants consisted of one field coordinator and four field administrators selected because of their direct involvement in daily work communication. Data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation study, then analyzed through data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings show that interpersonal communication is practiced through work coordination, openness, empathy, support, positive attitude, equality, and shared meaning of comfortable working relationships. However, the implementation is not fully consistent because it is still influenced by time pressure, brief instructions, psychological barriers, technical terms, field conditions, and media-related disturbances. Guidance and counseling principles can strengthen workplace communication through acceptance, active listening, clarification, empathy, and more constructive feedback.

Abstract

Microbial contamination is a health issue that requires serious attention from various parties. The presence of harmful microbes in cosmetic products, medicines, food, and the surrounding environment can pose health risks that cannot be ignored, ranging from mild infections to life-threatening chronic diseases. Therefore, educating students about this is very important and urgent to be implemented. This study aims to provide education to increase students' knowledge and awareness regarding microbial contamination in medicines, cosmetics, food, and the environment through health education activities for students at SMK SWASTA TIK DARUSSALAM. The method used was health counseling with material presentations, distribution of educational brochures about microorganisms, accompanied by ice-breaking activities to increase student participation. The material provided included types of microbes, risks of contamination, dangers of microorganisms, and efforts to implement a healthy and clean lifestyle. The results of the activity showed an increase in students' understanding of the importance of washing hands with soap, maintaining environmental cleanliness, and awareness of the importance of implementing clean and healthy lifestyle behaviors. In addition, students showed enthusiasm and active participation during the activity. With ongoing health education and support from the school, it is hoped that students will be able to implement preventive behavior independently and become agents of change in creating a school environment that is healthy, safe, and free from disease transmission.

Abstract

This article analyzes the relationship between workplace ijime, workers mental health, and the risk of jisatsu from a criminological-victimological perspective. The discussion is situated in the workplace context around Shibuya Station, Japan, an urban working space characterized by service intensity, hierarchical relations, rapid work rhythms, and strong expectations of social harmony. This study applies a qualitative literature review by examining scholarly works on workplace bullying, power harassment, mental health, suicide, and relevant criminological theories. The findings indicate that workplace ijime can be understood as psychological violence operating through humiliation, exclusion, intimidation, excessive pressure, and abuse of power relations. This process places workers in situations of primary and secondary victimization, increasing their vulnerability to anxiety, depression, loss of self-esteem, emotional exhaustion, social isolation, and helplessness. The novelty of this article lies in framing ijime as a criminological issue within the workplace rather than merely an individual psychological problem. Prevention should therefore strengthen organizational social control, safe reporting mechanisms, victim protection, psychosocial support, and an anti-violence work culture.

Abstract

Law Number 40 of 2007 concerning Limited Liability Companies (LLC Law) serves as the fundamental legal framework governing the existence and operations of limited liability companies in Indonesia. Among various provisions regulated in the LLC Law, Article 74 concerning Social and Environmental Responsibility (TJSL) or Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) represents a significant legal instrument in encouraging companies to play an active role in community service. This research aims to analyze the legal relationship between the provisions of the LLC Law and the role of companies in community service, examine the juridical implications of TJSL obligations, and evaluate the effectiveness of implementing these provisions in practice. The research method used is normative legal research with statutory, conceptual, and comparative approaches. The results indicate that the LLC Law has provided a strong legal basis for companies to carry out community service through TJSL, but there are normative inconsistencies between the mandatory nature of TJSL obligations in Article 74 paragraph (1) and the voluntary commitment definition of CSR in Article 1 number 3. Furthermore, the weakness of sanctions not specifically regulated in the LLC Law reduces the effectiveness of law enforcement against companies that fail to fulfill their obligations. This study recommends the need for harmonization of LLC Law provisions with their implementing regulations to strengthen the role of companies in community service.

Abstract

The Kusamba Salted-Boiled Fish (Pindang) Center faces challenges in sustaining its tradition amid fluctuating fish catches, market pressures, and hygiene demands, while also carrying a symbolic role in shaping Bali's culinary image. This study aims to examine how the practices, meanings, and values of pindang production in Kusamba shape Balinese gastronomic identity and to affirm Kusamba's position as a center of tradition. A descriptive qualitative method with an ethnogastronomic approach was applied through participant observation, in-depth interviews, process documentation, and mapping of the food chain from upstream to downstream; data were analyzed thematically. The results show a concentration of practitioners and a coordinated production rhythm, from fish selection to packaging; the existence of unwritten taste standards maintained through collective work; and a consistent sensory profile characterized by clean saltiness, firm yet moist flesh, and a sea aroma balanced with spices. Work organization is structured around a hierarchy of experience and a shared "taste vocabulary" within the community; hygiene practices are already in place, though vulnerable points still emerge during peak production hours. Seasonal adaptation is carried out through adjustments in fish species, batch size, and scheduling, while selective modernization in cooling, packaging (both leaf-wrapped and vacuum-sealed), and labeling has expanded market reach without altering the core flavor. Distribution extends beyond Klungkung, and engagement with culinary tourism strengthens the center's role in cultural transmission and education. It is concluded that Kusamba deserves to be positioned as a center of pindang tradition and a marker of Bali's gastronomic identity. Future research is recommended to adopt a longitudinal, cross-seasonal design, combine ethnography with basic quality testing, and conduct comparative studies across pindang production sites in Bali.

Abstract

International trade is an important indicator of a country’s economic openness and integration into the global system, where Southeast Asian countries such as Indonesia, Malaysia, Myanmar, and Thailand exhibit varying trade dynamics influenced by economic, social, and political globalization. This study aims to analyze the impact of these three dimensions of globalization on international trade during the 1980–2023 period using panel data regression with the Fixed Effect Model at a five percent significance level. The results show that, simultaneously, all dimensions of globalization have a significant effect on international trade. However, partially, economic globalization has a negative and significant effect, while social and political globalization have positive and significant effects. This indicates that economic openness without adequate domestic readiness can hinder trade performance, whereas social connectivity and political cooperation can enhance trade activities. Therefore, appropriate policies are needed to optimize the benefits of globalization while minimizing risks such as import dependency, global commodity price volatility, and low export diversification.

Abstract

This study examines curriculum and learning management in secondary schools, focusing on development trends and their implementation in Indonesia. The study is motivated by changes in education policy that require schools to be more adaptive, flexible and learner-centred. Curriculum management is understood not only as the organisation of academic documents, but also as an interrelated process of planning, implementation, evaluation and development of learning. In the Indonesian context, the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum represents a form of educational reform that emphasises differentiated learning, the strengthening of competencies, and school autonomy in managing the operational curriculum. The method employed in this study is a literature review, examining various scholarly sources such as journal articles, books, and relevant policy documents. The findings indicate that trends in curriculum management in secondary schools are moving towards more active, competence-based learning supported by the use of digital technology. However, its implementation still faces challenges regarding teacher readiness, limited facilities and infrastructure, and disparities in capacity between schools. Therefore, the success of curriculum management and learning depends heavily on synergy between headteachers, teachers, students, and educational policy support. Consequently, strengthening human resource capacity and improving support systems are crucial factors in enhancing the quality of secondary education in Indonesia.
