Artikel yang dimuat dalam jurnal ini mengedepankan analisis objektif terhadap kasus manajemen dan organisasi dalam perspektif akademik berupa hasil penelitian di bidang manajemen dan organisasi dalam perpektif akademik berupa hasil penelitian di bidang manajemen dan review terhadap konsep manajemen baru maupun implementasi konsep manajemen dengan studi literatur. Abstract

This research is intended to assess whether there are significant changes in the financial performance of non-financial companies on the Indonesia Stock Exchange before and after a merger or acquisition. Financial performance is tested using four financial indicators, namely liquidity ratio, solvency, profitability and activity. Data were analyzed by applying the paired sample t-test for data that was considered normal and while data was considered not normally distributed using the Wilcoxon signed ranks test. Data is collected with documentation. Data comes from secondary data. The data type uses documentary. The research sample consisted of 11 non-financial companies that carried out mergers and acquisitions in the 2016-2020 period and were listed on the Indonesian Stock Exchange. Purposive sampling technique was used in sampling. The time interval chosen in this research is three years before the merger or acquisition and three years after the merger or acquisition. From the study results, it was found that there were differences in the CR, DER and TATO ratios before or after mergers and acquisitions, while there was no change in the ROA ratio pre-implementation and post-implementation of mergers and acquisitions.

Abstract

This study examines the impact of rebranding strategy and corporate image on service quality and customer satisfaction for pilotage and towage services in the Cilacap waters managed by PT. Pertamina Port Logistics. The primary objective of this research is to analyze how rebranding strategy and corporate image affect service quality and customer satisfaction, as well as the role of service quality as a mediator in these relationships. Using a quantitative design with a causal approach, data was collected through questionnaires and interviews with ship crews, as well as from secondary sources provided by the company. The sample consisted of 180 individuals from a population of 325, selected using Purposive Sampling and Simple Random Sampling techniques. Data analysis was performed using Structural Equation Modeling and helped by smart PLS aplication to model the causal relationships between variables. The findings indicate that both rebranding strategy and corporate image have a positive and significant effect on service quality and customer satisfaction, with corporate image having the greatest impact. Additionally, service quality acts as a significant mediator in the relationship between rebranding strategy and corporate image with customer satisfaction. These findings highlight the importance of enhancing corporate image and implementing effective rebranding strategies to improve service quality and customer satisfaction at PT. Pertamina Port Logistics. The study recommends focusing on the development of corporate image and rebranding strategies as strategic steps to enhance service outcomes and customer satisfaction.

Abstract

The advancement of technology and the internet has significantly transformed consumer behavior, particularly in the e-commerce sector for skincare products in Jabodetabek. In 2023, skincare emerged as the top-selling category in e-commerce. This study aims to analyze the impact of affiliate marketing and online customer reviews on the purchase decisions of skincare products in Jabodetabek, with customer trust as an intervening variable. The research sampled 219 Shopee users selected through purposive sampling. Descriptive analysis and SEM-PLS methods were employed using the SmartPLS 4 application. The findings reveal that affiliate marketing and online customer reviews positively and significantly influence purchase decisions, both directly and indirectly through customer trust.

Abstract

The conflict between Palestine and Israel has a long and complex history that has persisted for over half a century without resolution. This conflict escalated again with an attack by Israel on October 7, 2023, causing significant casualties and damage in Gaza. This study aims to analyze the impact of the Israel-Palestine conflict on the stock prices of cyclical and non-cyclical companies. The variables in this study are the stock prices of cyclical companies (McDonald's and Starbucks) and non-cyclical companies (Unilever and Nestlé). The research was conducted on companies listed on the S&P Dow Jones. The data analysis methods used include descriptive tests, normality tests, homogeneity tests, Friedman tests, and Kruskal-Wallis tests using SPSS version 23. The results of the study indicate significant changes in the stock prices of cyclical and non-cyclical companies during the conflict. McDonald's and Starbucks experienced significant stock price declines, while Unilever and Nestlé showed greater stability. This research provides insights for investors and financial analysts in managing portfolios during periods of geopolitical uncertainty.

Abstract

Technological advancements have progressed at an extraordinary pace, profoundly impacting various sectors, including e-commerce. This study investigates the influence of product reviews, ease of navigation, and pricing on purchasing decisions among Tokopedia users. A quantitative research method was employed, utilizing a structured questionnaire to gather responses. Data were analyzed using SmartPLS version 4, with evaluations covering both the inner and outer models. The inner model assessment included path coefficients, Cronbach’s alpha, and R-squared values, while the outer model focused on convergent validity, discriminant validity, and composite reliability. The results show that product reviews have a significant positive effect on purchasing decisions (t-value = 3.589 > 1.96; p = 0.000 < 0.05), supporting hypothesis H1. Ease of navigation also has a significant positive influence (t-value = 5.009 > 1.96; p = 0.000 < 0.05), confirming hypothesis H2. Furthermore, pricing was found to significantly affect purchasing decisions (t-value = 2.676 > 1.96; p = 0.007 < 0.05), supporting hypothesis H3. The study concludes that product reviews, ease of navigation, and pricing each have a positive and statistically significant impact on purchasing decisions on the Tokopedia platform.

Abstract

BPJS Ketenagakerjaan added a biometric system to the data update application feature to ensure access security. However, this has raised new discomfort from participants. Participants must come to the BPJS Ketenagakerjaan branch office if there are repeated errors in the system. The purpose of this study is to optimize the biometric authentication system for updating data. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method with a case study approach. The PIECES framework is used as a tool to analyze the biometric authentication system. Interviews, observations, and literature studies are used in data collection. Data triangulation is used to obtain appropriate conclusions and suggestions. The result show that the biometric authentication system is used to update data on the old-age security program. Face recognition is being used in biometric authentication. If the participant fails thrice in the authentication process, they must come to the BPJS Ketenagakerjaan branch office to reopen their authentication access. Optimization can be done by adding variations of biometric authentication such as fingerprints and irises, and automatically re-granting access after a 60-second cooldown without coming to the BPJS Ketenagakerjaan office.

Abstract

The Indonesian coffee industry has experienced dynamic growth, driven by rising coffee consumption and increasing internet penetration. Coffee Baracks in Bogor Regency aims to utilize social media marketing and product innovation to influence consumer purchase decisions, with electronic word-of-mouth (eWOM) serving as a mediator. This study analyzes the impact of these factors on digital-era purchasing decisions, specifically examining how social media marketing (Instagram) and product innovation affect eWOM and purchase decisions, while also investigating eWOM's mediating role in strengthening these relationships. Using a quantitative approach, data was collected through questionnaires distributed to 200 respondents, consisting of Coffee Baracks' Instagram followers and direct visitors. The data was analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with Partial Least Squares (PLS) via SmartPLS 3.3.3. The results indicate that social media marketing has a significant positive effect on purchase decisions (path coefficient: 0.192; p < 0.05). Conversely, product innovation shows a negative impact (-1.021; p < 0.05), suggesting misalignment with market preferences. However, when mediated by eWOM, product innovation demonstrates a strong positive influence (1.493; p < 0.05). Additionally, eWOM strengthens the relationship between social media marketing and purchase decisions (0.196; p < 0.05) and has a direct positive effect (1.700; p < 0.05). The findings suggest that effective social media marketing strategies and eWOM management significantly enhance purchase decisions, while product innovation must align with market expectations. Practical implications recommend that Coffee Baracks focus on creative social media content, market research for product innovation, and maximizing positive reviews through eWOM.

Abstract

Halal tourism has grown rapidly in the last decade, along with the increasing interest of global Muslim tourists. This research aims to analyze metadata from halal tourism literature to identify trends, patterns, and academic contributions in this field. Using data from the Scopus database from 2015 to 2025, this research evaluates document distribution based on time, publication type, institutional affiliation, country, and subject area. The findings show that journal articles dominate publications (70.7%), with Business, Management, and Accounting as the main contributor (29.7%). Indonesia and Malaysia emerge as the countries with the largest contributions, reflecting the strategic role of the Southeast Asian region in halal tourism research and development. Theoretically, this research highlights the potential of metadata in integrating tourist preferences, market trends, and destination needs to address challenges such as variations in halal standards, lack of infrastructure, and low public awareness. Practically, these findings offer strategic guidance for governments, industry, and academics to utilize metadata in halal certification, marketing strategies, and digital technology development. The conclusion of this research emphasizes the importance of multidisciplinary approaches and cross-sector collaboration to enhance the appeal and sustainability of halal tourism at the global level. Future researchers are advised to expand the analysis with a more comprehensive interdisciplinary approach.

Abstract

Generation Z has increasingly entered the workforce and is projected to succeed Generations X and Y in the organizational landscape. Motivation is recognized as a critical factor influencing their work performance. However, existing research indicates that Generation Z exhibits lower levels of engagement motivation than preceding generations, which contributes to difficulties sustaining long-term employment. This phenomenon warrants closer examination, given the strategic importance of Generation Z as the future workforce. Accordingly, this study aims to identify and analyze the factors influencing work motivation among Generation Z through a systematic literature review (SLR), following the PRISMA (Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses) framework as the methodological foundation. Literature was sourced from Google Scholar and Crossref using Harzing’s Publish or Perish software with the keywords "Work Motivation," "Gen Z Employee Work Motivation," and "Gen Z Work Motivation." Ten relevant articles were selected for in-depth analysis following a screening and exclusion process. The results of this study indicate that Generation Z’s work motivation is driven by meaningful achievement through appreciation, affiliation manifested in flexible, supportive, and participative work environments, and interestingly, social recognition is no longer a primary priority as it was for previous generations. These findings are expected to support organizations in designing relevant human resource policies to enhance Generation Z employees' productivity.

Abstract

Developing quality education is the key to preparing Indonesia's golden generation in 2045. The study aimed to analyze the teacher compensation system using the job value method and provide recommendations for an ideal compensation system. Methods used included descriptive analysis, point system method, job grading, salary mapping, and adjustments using adhered and overlapping methods. Primary data were obtained through interviews with the Principal and Head of Human Resources, and questionnaires to gather information on teachers' salaries, compensation factors, and job weightings. Secondary data came from relevant literature, official websites, books, articles, theses, and journals. The results showed that 66.67 percent of teachers at XYZ School receive salaries below the Bogor Regency Minimum Wage. The established compensation factors include education, work experience, communication skills, conceptual thinking, initiative, physical effort, independence of action, complexity, decision making, and impact. The recommended compensation system is the overlapping method with a total cost of Rp191,081,538.00, which is more efficient than the adhered method. Implementing this ideal compensation system is expected to improve the welfare and performance of teachers at XYZ School.
