Abstract

This community service aims to empower teachers, students and canteen employees through improving skills in making catfish dim sum as an effort to diversify fishery-based food. This activity was carried out at Pondok Pesantren Raudhatul Ulum, Sakatiga with a training method that includes theory and practice. Patin fish was chosen as the main ingredient due to its high nutritional content and its potential in supporting the prevention of stunting in children. In addition, the training also included education on packaging and storage techniques for small-scale production. The results of the activity showed an increase in the understanding and skills of teachers and students in making catfish dim sum, as well as the potential for small business development in the school environment.

Abstract

Film is a tool to convey various messages to the general public through the medium of stories, and can also be interpreted as a medium of artistic expression for artists and filmmakers to express their story ideas. The making of this short film began before production by having an idea of ​​what to show from the story side and to support the appearance of the film to be more interesting and attract the attention of the audience. In addition, the storyline is played backwards, telling the background of the incident. Held in Pontianak, October 3, 2024, it was divided into 2 (two) Socialization and Workshop sessions and was attended by 40 high school and vocational high school students from Muhammadiyah Pontianak. A short film competition was held with the theme "why should I go to college"

Abstract

Community Service (PkM) will focus on the theme "Enhancing the Management of Cost Calculation for Goods Production among MSMEs in Cangkuang Village, Leles District, Garut Regency." The participants will include members of the Kominda Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (UMKM) cooperative in Cangkuang Village, Leles District, Garut Regency. The primary objective of this initiative is to enhance the accuracy of production cost calculations for MSMEs in the area. Additionally, a specific aim of this PkM is to ensure that MSME operators comprehend the significance of accounting in their business operations and are equipped to conduct Management Counseling for the Preparation of Cost of Goods Production. This knowledge will enable MSME operators to effectively manage their finances and generate straightforward financial reports utilizing information technology, ultimately contributing to the growth of their businesses in the future.

Abstract

The welding workshop industry is one of the sectors that continues to grow along with the increasing demand for security and aesthetics in buildings, both residential and commercial. Window grilles and fences are two main components that not only function as protection but also as decorative elements that can add aesthetic value to a building. Therefore, it is important for welding workshop employees to have adequate skills and knowledge in making window and fence trellis ornaments. The purpose of this service is: Improving the technical skills of friction welding workshop employees in making window and fence trellises with various ornamental designs; including 90 degree angle metal welding guides, star-shaped tools, and zig-sag. The service methods used: Theory and Introduction, namely an introduction to the importance of ornaments in window and fence trellises, the history and evolution of design, and the basic theory of making ornaments; Field Practice, namely employees will be directly involved in the process of making the ornaments. This stage includes cutting, welding, and forming materials according to the desired design; Design Development, namely participants/employees are taught drawing techniques and designing ornamental designs using simple drawings; Final Project, namely each participant/employee will create a final project in the form of a window or fence trellis with an ornamental design that has been taught during the training. Abstract

In Mujo Hamlet, Sumogawe Village, Getasan District, there has been no effort to organize an institutional clean water supply program. So far, the community has held it independently, either individually or in groups of around five heads of families. The aim of this community service activity is to form an organizing institution for the management of clean water supply for the community and to create an initial design for the distribution of clean water networks to residents' homes. The implementation method begins with a location survey, outreach and audience with the community, monitoring and evaluation. The results of this activity are maps of the distribution of clean water pipe networks from springs to people's homes. By having a map of the distribution of clean water pipe networks, it is hoped that the community will participate together in forming an institution that organizes clean water supply and can carry out its implementation well.

Abstract

This service was designed with the aim of strengthening local identity, involving all stakeholders, and optimizing village potential into strategic steps to overcome existing problems. Through a participatory approach that involves all elements of the community. Community service in Olilit Village succeeded in identifying problems and utilizing local potential which includes socio-cultural, economic, and political governance aspects of the village. Through training and mentoring, the community's skills in product diversification and community-based tourism management have been improved, although challenges in marketing access and land conflicts require further solutions. In village governance, the implementation of financial management transparency has increased community trust in the village government, although political fragmentation is an obstacle. Political education and the establishment of regular deliberation forums are recommended to realize inclusive and equitable governance. Overall, strengthening local identity, community empowerment, and community-based potential management are effective strategies to create harmonious village development between tradition and modernity. This model is expected to be an inspiration for other villages in Eastern Indonesia.

Abstract

Every child has the same right to achieve success, including children living in orphanages. However, the challenges they face are often more complex than children raised in families. This community service was carried out at the Talenta Delpita Orphanage located on Jalan Unika Ujung Gang Sepadan I LK XX, Kwala Bekala Village, Medan Johor District, Medan City. The community service method uses the social intervention method. The social intervention method is one of the methods used in implementing Community Service activities. Social intervention can be interpreted as a way or strategy to help individuals or groups or families or communities in the context of their social lives with the aim of welfare for the community. The results of community service show that orphanage children cannot be justified as children who do not have any motivation to succeed. Orphanage children also cannot be justified as children with a bleak future. Orphanage children also cannot be justified as weak children and cannot do anything. In reality, they are children who can do more, have more potential and are able to fight for the right to success that exists in them, as long as they are willing and able to develop the potential for success that exists, by maximizing the motivation from within and outside that exists in them. This community service concludes that with the right support, children at the Talenta Delpita orphanage have the same potential to achieve success as other children.

Abstract

Aloe vera is a plant that is easy to cultivate and has great potential to be processed into various economically valuable products, especially in the cosmetics sector, such as soap. However, in the partner environment, the use of aloe vera has not been maximized and there is a low entrepreneurial spirit among students. As a solution, this community service activity aims to provide education about entrepreneurship as well as training in processing aloe vera into soap. This activity was carried out in stages, starting with providing insight into bioentrepreneurship, followed by practical training in making aloe vera soap. To evaluate this activity, questionnaires were given to students before and after training. The results of the activity showed that there was an increase in knowledge regarding entrepreneurship and soap making skills. This activity had a positive impact on participants in creating and running an aloe vera soap business

Abstract

Community Service (PkM) is one of the pillars in the tridharma of higher education which aims to provide a real impact on society. This study develops an e-marketplace application "Gallery PkM Universitas Terbuka" as a solution to improve the marketing of products resulting from community service. The method used is Rapid Application Development (RAD), which allows rapid application development with repeated iterations. The results of the study show that this application makes it easy for students, lecturers, and the community to access and market products. The trial of Universitas Terbuka students showed a satisfaction level of 73.14%, which is included in the "Good" category. However, there are several aspects that need to be improved, such as improving image editing features, optimizing product displays, and developing payment options. With this application, it is hoped that the marketing of PkM products can be more optimal, expanding reach, and increasing the economic independence of the community.

Abstract

However, food instability and nutrient consumption below the required level can occur in some areas, which leads to stunted growth. The sustainable food yard utilization program for stunting using vertical bioconversion technology can stop this. Encourage the community, especially millennial farmers, to use their home yards (surrounding environment) to meet their nutritional needs independently. According to the activity results, all participating farmers - 100% of them - showed interest in utilizing vertical bioconversion technology, especially when using vertical cultivation techniques to utilize yards as agricultural land. However, only 80% of participating farmers showed interest in bioconversion, which uses maggot cultivation to produce animal feed and compost. This is because the fermentation of organic waste is a source of food for maggots, and farmers need to learn more about how to produce it. To meet their nutritional needs, farmers are also asked to plant staple crops that have economic value such as pak choy, chilies, and spinach. 40% said they were very happy with the training, while 60% said they were satisfied
